Stag 3234 Share Posted July 8, 2013 High Elves are still Elves and thus will be part of the Elven mine. I guess for the Elves it is not so much a Nation mine as it is a racial mine, so I'd say they're the exception. In the Elves' case, the mine will likely be dual controlled by both Malinor and the High Elves, unless the two can come up with another solution with a similar effect. What if there were a few smaller mines scattered throughout the nation instead of one big one? There is a location near the Malinor farms and one near the haelun'or farms and heck I think it would be cool to see a mine inside that infested spider cave. Ilikefooddude 430 Share Posted July 8, 2013 In the original post, you talk about the nation leaders deciding what the mines look about. What about the Orcs, however? The Uzg being disbanded, there are serveral governing clans in the Orcish Badlands, probably the most popular two being Lur and Gorkil. Will you be talking to VonAulus about how the mines will look, or will there a type of poll for all Orcs? Edit: Also on the topic of there being no governing forces in the badlands, couldn't it be possible for one clan to take compete control of said mines, causing a restriction of ore to all Orcs except for that clan? If so, would this be stopped, and again, if so, how?

I'd actually like to see 1 large mine placed in the forest halfway between Malinor and Haelun'or. The two nations hate each other in RP so it would be interesting having them bickering and fighting over the mine ;) They would then have to engage in diplomacy with each other. The high elves certainly do need some resources though, we are a growing playerbase and yet we have nothing of value to trade with other nations in order to get money. More mines spreads out mining RP so one large one would make sense. Another idea could be to use the two separate mining entrances the nations have and have them both connect to a large mine. Basically you could enter the mine through Haelun'or's entrance or Malinor's. This would sprout a cool connecting tunnel and allow both nations to regulate an entrance to the mine.

monkeypoacher 8055 Share Posted July 15, 2013 I'm overjoyed that humans didn't get an iron mine. And that Kha did. Woohoo. Humans, however, need gold mines. Gold has been a staple of the human economy in real life for... basically forever. I don't see the need for a clay mine at all, and redstone (besides being an elfrodisiac) has no use to most people. I like how dwarves get more mines, but I think this might make Urguan a little OP.

minitoot2 15 Share Posted July 26, 2013 Us dwarves do not want lapis as we have no use for it. If possible we would like to have a redstone mine as we use it more than the other races. The only use for lapis in the entire kingdom would be for dying wool in the Grayhammer Clan colors (Blue and Grey). Edit: I was also thinking they mew mews should have gold instead of iron. It makes more sense to me for them to find gold in the jungle instead of iron. Plus, it's worth more. i agree with thenander as in my post (before I saw this one) http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/93258-idea-redstone-mine/ we dwarfs need it the most and use it the most

Alan 1815 Author Share Posted July 26, 2013 Why were no more mines set up? Was this just not a real thing? There have been mines set up, in fact we have a few that are completely done. However, as mentioned originally, we are releasing every nation mine at the same time, and thus those completed mines have not been implemented yet. Right, well, my question was ignored again, so... Last time, i'm reposting it. It's hard to say, we have not gotten around to building the Orc mine yet so we have not had a full, detailed discussion with the Orcs either. We will likely talk to all of the clan leaders in a chat when we are ready to build their mine so that they can all give their two cents on the matter. Whether or not the mine will be able to be contested is certainly a matter that can be discussed between us and the leaders, but we will see when we get there. VonAulus 2082 Share Posted July 26, 2013 We were told the orcs would have a gold mine before this map was even realesed. We were also told the badlands would have an iron mine. More staff lies.
