I understand, Me and my friends I guess are just lucky I guess...I still find it a tad useless doing such things, LOTC is wonderful, its fun, its a world filled with parent-killing orcs, powergaming orphans, and nobles who have the IQ of tinfoil, and yet, its still the best server in the world, and the server I love a lot more than any other... 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Be remembered, whether our minds remember you as a tyrant or a butterfly (A sh*tty analogy, I know) it doesn't really matter. Some to old and wounded to continue to fight, but still uselessly bear their teeth. It confuses me, really.. It makes me wonder when LOTC became this... twisted mess of drama and snarling and snapping. I wonder when everyone will remember they are humans, playing alongside other humans. I wonder when everyone will remember what it was like to smile. To have fun, be silly, play. To say sorry. To forgive. I wonder when everyone will stop glaring behind them at the mistakes of the past, blinding themselves to any chance at the future. I wonder when everyone will stop attacking each other over pointless, meaningless things that effect nothing but a nonexistant universe. I wonder when everyone will remember that we made that universe.. and how we used to love it.. I wonder when everyone will stop and look in the mirror. When they will listen to themselves. When they will see the terrible monsters they make others out to be, and how much worse of a beast they are themselves. This is justa temporary rift, of a couple of people, LOTC is still wonderful, yes it is flawed, but it is the least flawed server Ive ever seen, this kind of thing is normal, and it will pass, lotc will still go on, some players wont... But it will continue to be the best server around. I find the amount of melodramaticism and hate in this thread preposterous, I mean... Seriously, why must it be so hard for people to take things lightly, especially in regards to an online game. Yes, there are problems, yes I agree with most of what Gaius said (although I'm not a fan of the delivery.) But I fail to comprehend why people cannot pause as they type their scathing, hurt, or judgmental posts, look to the left and realize, "Oh, wait a second this isn't real life... I don't need to be upset about this or stress over it. I'll go for a walk to clear my mind." I get that LOTC can be an escape for people, as it certainly is for me, but regardless; there is a point where one must draw the line between what is real and what matters, and what is happening in an online community of teenagers and a few young adults. This does indeed contradict a post in which I said LOTC is not just a game, but a place to learn and to grow. I stand by this, and simply mean to state that the amount of emotional and angry posts that I'm seeing here are simply unneeded, people need to learn when to draw that line between online drama and things that actually matter. If you were in a class, and the teacher randomly started cussing out random students, and they started yelling at eachother, and it all became a big shitstorm, what would you do? Who the hell goes through the work of hacking a GM just to try and ruin the economy then, eh? Pulling a crazyguy or Khronos is a thousand times better. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story with us, Gaius. I'm out, abandoning topic. I didn't know. I've always respected the entire Staff as a whole, but when someone who I trusted and respected tries to justify their wrong doings as well as others with blunt responses meant to obviously hurt us, I feel a bit ashamed. I understand that respect is a large aspect in maintaining something, but all you have done here is disrespect the server and what is stands for. Scream and yell about how the Staff does this already, but when confronted with such rude and cruel actions, why are they hated upon for acting back? Gaius, I held a lot of respect for you as well as other Staff members. But, honestly, it's gone now. I agreed with some of your remarks, but don't try to justify wrongful actions when you could just walk away. You say they need to stop going at each others throats and treat each other with respect yet you lied to the GM team which instills you do not respect them nor do you stand by your own words by saying we go at each others throats. You are pretty much doing the same thing, gaius. You guys are becoming quite hilarious, making your posts on equality when the only thing that stands out further is hypocrisy and general rudeness to and from the people who left. To the people who left without pugsying and making a big fight over it, You guys are great and I am sad to see some of you leave. To the people whom broke server rules and decided to make long posts about their leave and then troll on the forums soon after and in TS, You really hold no place in this community. This is a game, as you always say, and you chose to * people over because you wanted to go out with a bang. Why not just resign and quit, and be mature about it? No, I'll make people lose 4 hours of their game. I though tyou could handle it better, and it saddened me that someone I looked up to as a excellent player did something just because. You expect any of us (especially those on higher staff who worked closely with you) to be polite about this entire fiasco? You know how much stupid, useless work you and your friends have put the FMs through alone the past few days? And now the rest of the staff as well, having to sort out crazyguy's shenanigans....
