Appearance

Katlyn is roughly six foot two inches tall. She has long white hair that goes down to her waist. She has a thin build that seems well curved and full in the “right” places. Her skin is a pale golden tan adorned with dark emerald green eyes and a pair of luscious pink lips. She is the picture of a proper Horen, however, her legs are heavily scarred from the waist down with burns that she had received when she was only four years of age. She seems to dye her hair brown for some unknown reason.

Personality

Katlyn is a very sweet tempered and patient girl. She is friendly and kind to the soldiers and most anyone she meets. However, she is very racist against Mali’Ker. Her dislike comes with her upbringing, but also with the revelation that her Fiance, Adorellan Kamura, is still with his dark elf lover. Although she hates Mali’ker, she loves other elves. She finds them fascinating and often spends time playing with the ears of Adorellan or any elf that would allow her to. Although she seems very confident in everyday life, she is very self conscious. With her legs burned when she was but four years old, she had become terrified of fire. She often is found carrying a ratty teddy bear that she had received from a friend. This in itself has become her security blanket.

Biography

Nero Horen and Isabella Lavada had two lovely young children, Alexander Horen II and Katlyn Horen. Born a twin, Katlyn was very close to her brother. She was given to Ari and Horen when she was just a tiny babe with her brother for the imperial couple to raise. However, they were treated horribly when they were young. When trying to get into the palace one day, Pertinax found them and dragged them to his room. Alexander was soon thrown off a balcony, for a reason Katlyn still does not know.

She was to be escorted out, however the man who was walking her turned to the palace fireplace and threw her in. In fear, she grasped out, landing feet first into the fire. Pertinax saw this and quickly drew her out, however he was not fast enough to save her from being horribly burned. Since that day, she had grown to fear fire and became very self conscious of her legs, going to great lengths to hide them.

Days turned to months, months to years and slowly Katlyn grew to study and become a proper Horen lady. She had heard rumors of a duke trying to court a dark elf and thought it was disgusting. It was a few years later that William had betrothed her to such a man. Duke Adorellan Kamura became her betrothed and she knew she would have to do what she could to be a perfect wife. Only thirteen and betrothed, Katlyn quickly began to imagine what her wedding day would be like.
 
As time went by she quickly learned that she had to be quick thinking. She soon learned the roads between Abresi and Furstock were not safe. Not only had she been attacked by a bandit once, she was also crucified by another. With new scars and fears, Katlyn quickly began to act more cruel around others. She soon found herself becoming close with animals, namely wolves. She became friends with a telepathic lur wolf named Skara and adopted a direpup named Tara. She soon learned she loved animals and knew only they could be highly trusted.
 
Her love for Adorellan, however, she soon learned of his betrayals. Slowly she began to lose faith in her fiance and began searching out answers to who he really was. As months passed, Adorellan did his best to make Katlyn happy and make up for what he had done. Katlyn soon came to accept him for who he was and loved him regardless. When they were forced to leave their home, Katlyn stayed loyal to him, even as he grew more distant. In a last chance to make her truly happy, Adorellan admitted he want to have a son. Over joyed, Katlyn and him tried.
 
Three years passed before she could finally conceive. Something went wrong and her health began to deteriorate. It was around this time that Adorellan learned she had become close to her friend Azoth. In the heat of anger he strangled her, killing her. When she returned from cloud temple she noticed something was wrong. Upset and alone, she decided to end her life. For hours she stared at the noose she had set up. A suicide note sent to her lover. Changing her mind, she climbed back up to the roost, but some stones slipped. She fell into the river below and vanished under the foam.
