- New server application is great.

- Rule change is good, still need to clarify/edit/add some things.

- GM/staff teams are doing okay. Could always improve. New additions should help things, but other members need to work more. Still not 100% pleased with how much work gets done.

- Antag seems to be doing better. Still would like to see the Undead return.

- Villain applications need to get the same treatment as the server application.

I highly agree with Ever. The VA's need to be toned down to what the minor VA's are like. Let it be a shallow system like the Magic Applications are (no hate on the MAT, they are great just saying the Application is simple and down to the point), but with slightly more depth but not enough to overwhelm us like the current system.

I think the only things left to get Lotc on the right track are as follows:

  1. Release Nexus
  2. Make PvP default
  3. Remove VAs and VAT
  4. Move the Cloud Temple
  5. Purge the Admin Team

The Admin team is the only team left that needs major changes in how they run things, their members, and their delegation of responsibility and power.

And yes I do not know what goes on behind the scenes.... but from my standpoint the Admin team needs to start taking a firmer grasp of things.

In general the server is doing a pretty good job, there's a few things that I'm not sure how they'll go down but that's why we need to test them out :) specifically VA's are neither a good nor a bad thing. I think that they should be loosened slightly :P

6. Remove majority of OOC restrictions, in order to create more dynamic, and fun RP.

Maybe a bit off topic, but I think there should be some more job offerings. I for one am hardly employed working at The Wilds Inn since the first day of Anthos, but no one ever goes there do I don't really have much to do but sit there. But on many of my other characters they were all unemployed, being unable to find jobs.

You could always to Kralta or Kaedrin and buy a charter.

This is just my personal a opinion but really since Ageis (which was by no means perfect) I feel like the community has almost gone down hill a bit. The community becoming smaller and there's far less people joining to create a player dynamic. With out this Player dynamic many of the capitols are dead empty. I'm not complete sure how any one could fix this other then just loosening up ever where but that brings it's own problems.

Yeah. I think they've fixed that though. If you look on the AT update post, you can see we've added MANY more players now. (And yes, I realize you posted this like, 2 months ago ;) ) The capitol cities are now found almost NEVER empty. I have also found to enjoy the 'newbies', who actually know how to RP quite well. They bring a fresh, exciting new perspective to LOTC, making the server even MORE fun to play on.

Everything has been getting better I am happy to say, however things still need to worked on...

Below is a list of changes I would like to see, but right now I am quite happy with the way things are going.

1. Moving maps, In my opinion the longer we stay in Anthos everything stays the same. The map was painted fine but the main road just does not work. Along with that there is a slue of finding rp issues, Maybe we can centralize people somehow? I am not sure but right now the map is just way to spread out and rp is still as hard to find as it has ever been.

2. The antagonist and revival, its not scary when I can easily revive everyone fighting the antag. When there are no deaths of players in there events its not fun for anyone. No death, no fear of loseing = not scary. I would like to see a more headstrong antagonist as well as some sort of debuff on reviving others. In 4.0 the Undead should return, honestly they work and we should try to bring them back.

3. Get Nexus out!

4. The magic system still needs work, I really find players are only able to obtain magic in certain cliques and to be totally honest its been ripped bare of any fantasy elements or wow factors. There needs to be a losening on magic usage and lore. Players should have some freedom over the way they rp magic, the current system is like a giant wall blocking alot of fun and interesting rp. All in all I find the magic system to still be a good idea that just does not work in game.

That's my two cents on the situation, thanks for making things better and keep up the good work!

This community... Here's my flash of history.

1.0 - WE WANT A LARGER MAP. WE DON'T LIKE ANTAGONISTS, PURGE THE UNDEAD.

2.0 WE LOVE ANTAGONISTS, **** THIS MAP, RP DEFAULT IS AMAZING.

3.0 BETTER ANTAGONIST, MAP SMELLS LIKE CAKE, BUT I WANT TO EAT CAKE, NOT SMELL IT. PVP DEFAULT.

My opinion on what the server should do: BRING BACK RP DEFAULT...

I come onto an roleplay server specifically to roleplay, not pvp. I don't care if it takes 30 minutes or 3 hours, that's what I like about roleplay. With pvp, literally in 5 seconds that 'roleplay' is over. With pvp default, I have seen alot more BR's and alot more complaining. When the community vote, it was nearly 50% rp default, 50% pvp default, but the staff voted afterwards and pvp default won in the majority of the staff. I personally don't think the staff of the server should have say on whether it is pvp default or rp default.

Rp Default. Now. Stop being lazy about the stupid arguments that occur and do the job you signed up to do.

Pvp default makes this server feel more like a factions Pvp server for the very fact that we have chat systems in use and only need about two lines to initiate pvp. If you're going to remain pvp default please label lotc "Factions Pvp" because with the increase use of chat-systems (Skype, Ventrillo, etc.) You REALLY don't need to rp anymore and it takes away from what WE Rp'ers really came here for. RP Combat and peaceful alike.

Note: this is my own personal opinion based on what I have SEEN / Experienced since Pvp default was placed into effect.
