Omithiel 192 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Within a small dark stone home a dwarf lies upon his bed. The fire was dim as he stared contemplating on current situations. The old dwarf now crippled and quite frail thought of how his kin will carry on, what mysteries lie ahead of his people. Will they endure and prosper? or will they go through much sorrow as they did before for so long. Whatever happens it's beyond him as he coughs fiercely, gasping for air. Omithiel looks up at the cracked cieling above him calming down from his episode. He sees the light of the dim flame reflect upon its surface and he begins to think about his life. An orphan working within the mines learning about the ways of labor, and than beginning to learn of the ways of architecture. Through his study of architecture he was able to explore and learn the art and also find some spiritual meaning of his work, and especially of those who have left their work before him throughout the walls and pillars of Kal'Urguan. Many memories pass through Omithiel's mind, much of joy and of sorrow. He made a slight wheezing laugh when the idea of being a King would baffle him, and of all dwarves he was chosen by his kin. Now here he was as he looked upon himself, he sighed and saw all of it pass him now. He knew his story was coming to an end and that what lies ahead is up to his kin. The dangers that his race will face will be daunting, but he has faith that his race will persevere and overcome the obstacles that lie ahead. He lied there for a few more minutes before calling some dwarves to help him to his wheelchair, he ordered one of them to bring his pickaxe. Omithiel told them to take him by the foundation that stood beyond the main gate, passing by the main hall and main gate he was at the foundation outside. The cold air which he felt many times, and snow flakes which hit upon his beard and wrinkled face. It felt good to him and he breathed deeply as he again was thinking of how he was content. In his thoughts he didn't want to be remembered as an architect who built many grand things, or as one of the kings, or even as a well known dwarf. He didn't want to be remembered at all. All he wanted truely was a home in which he can enjoy the company of his fellow dwarves through all the joys and sorrows, and that he can die within his home. Achieving this Omithiel smiled and stared at the pale blue mountains, and the vast pines which stretched across the valley. He continued to look before wanting to head back in to his home. The following night, he passed away upon the foundation outside the maingate, under the pale moonlight, and the endless twinkling starlight. In Omithiel's will, all he asked was to be buried within a mountain, and that the large book of of all his study in architecture, rune engravings, drawings, concepts, his understanding of of the connection of building with Yemekar, and all his accounts in exploration and his journal entries be stored within the great library. His pickaxe to be buried with him, and his clan's large carved jewel to be given to his clans mate. Also his wealth is to be given to whom he found closest to. Also he left a peculiar illustration with runic symbols upon them. *Within a small carved hole, lies a tomb* *Here Lies Omithiel Strongbrow son ov Ulinthal Strongbrow* All Craftsmanship is of the highest quality. His titles Omithiel t'e Miner, Omithiel the Formen ov Gat'erin', Omithiel t'e Overseer, Omithiel t'e Wanderin' Architect, Omithiel t'e Master Architect ov Alras, Omithiel t'e Engraver, Omithiel Yemekar's Pick, Omithiel Co-Founder ov t'e Citeh ov Kal'Azgoth, Omithiel t'e 10th King, Omithiel t'e Old. so let it be known, so let it be foretold, so let it be done, so let it be writen, so let it be retold, so let it be known, so let it be understood, so let it be finished, so let it be completed. (If you guys want a funeral event that would be cool, if not than its cool either way.)

Heero 4092 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Archmage Crumena cries for the deceased Dwarf. He sheds many tears for the great Omithiel. And his eye-brow separately. Meanwhile somewhere in the Dwarven City of Kal'Azgoth little Dunwall Grandaxe sobs. Constructing a shrine to Omithiel's majestic eye-brow.

Kilgrim 361 Share Posted September 3, 2013 *Kilgrim cries so hard he poops himself. He thinks it's because he is crying to hard from Omithiel's death but it's actually the prune juice he forgot he drank earlier.

fernandezbunch 3 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Finki Goldhand gives a heavy sigh as he hears the news. The only Dwarven king outside of Kal'Alras (in Asulon) to have ever commanded his loyalty has died.
Lathros 377 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Lathros sheds one manly tear, then it drips down unto his beard of Iron, and the light refracts through the tear and back out, thus, creating a disco light. Now, Lathros doesn't know whether to feel sad or not.

Charles_Grimlie 1072 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Up in the highest mountains, beyond the tallest peaks of the Dwarvish ranges the great Paragon Kjell Stormhammer of clan Ireheart stands, his hands clutches upon the hilt of his legendary Axe, DragonRazz. It was here upon these great pillars of earth carved out by the God Yemekre for his true creations that Kjell stood for days on end. His absence from the Dwarvish Kingdom evident since the death of his former Comrades. It was here that Kjell would attempt to shed a tear for all those who had passed before him, his brothers. But it was also here that he would recall that he tore his own tear ducts out of his eyes during the great war between the many factions so that he would see its true glory and his glory. Even without any organ to pass a glorious Ireheart fluid through he managed to achieve the impossible with the blessing of Annebella and Dungrimm to release a single tear blessed by the gods to join the other tears that would make up the snow. It was a miracle, one for his battle brothers and comrades of pick and tool. This tear fell to the snow in almost slow motion, it bore the memories of Omithiel, Gorum, Luchian, the butt-pirate Zezimus, and his own cousin Urir who now stands immortal in the stone behind him bearing a hammer of equal majesty. This was not a tear to be beheld by the weak. It was a tear of glorious Dwarven man-hood which would be dubbed "The Liquid Pride".
