This is a little ridiculous, to be honest. Instead of actually working to solve the 'roleplay problems', the Admins appear to have thrown up their hands and said: "Alright, we done fucked, let's start over."

 

Wouldn't it be better to... I don't know, actually try to solve the problems? This is a cop out, and to be honest the difficulties that LoTC is currently having run deeper than a map.

Just because we're dividing some resources to work on a new map... doesn't indicate we've scrapped and abandoned Anthos.

This isn't a cop-out, this is a solution to one of the problems: a map with little centralized roleplay. Not only that, the admins are actually working on fixing the technical bugs, the restrictions on roleplay, etcetera... Where have you been for the past week? The people screamed and the admins listened (Thanks be to Ever). This is a start.
