Your View: Bringing Diamonds Back (Custom Recipies)

Recommended Posts

You get min-maxing in everything where there's a possibility for "the best". The dump stat, the unused bloodline, the loss lf one good thing for sother better thing, you can't avoid it, just saying.

Well I mean... we are avoiding it, lol.

No diamond weaponry and brews PVP buffs were removed once we realised they were nothing more than insta-win pvp items.

Diamond swords could be nice to have back, but be very rare, and only some people handle them. Sort of like magical objects; relics brought by those from Aegis. Give them low durability, since they're ancient, but keep the default stats. Could make up for some interesting lore.

I think that just having the tools will work well. Perhaps having the armour/swords as event items that players can get, just to keep them rare. As for the grappling hooks recipe, if it has a low durability or something, it should be fine.

Do we not listen to Aislin? :( Make something super rare and people will value it OOC, and thus be very, very sad when they lose it.

Enderpearls do not represent grapplehooks correctly. That, and the response to enderpearl grapple hooks will be defences over the top of a city, for example a dome. Any way of breaking into cities you allow will result in cities adapting to nullify it: the question is are those adaptions things we want or not?

Anyway, LAGO'S AMAZING PLAN OF AMAZINGNESS:

Full reimplementation of diamond/carbarum. However, make the weapons and armour have the same stats as iron. Their advantage? They keep their carbarum durability. Diamond armour and weapons aren't better but last longer. The advantage of diamond is that it costs more but it's cheaper in the long run because it lasts, but in wars most people will die and thus iron's the better bet.

I like this idea, Lago. A nice way to re-implement diamonds weapons/armour.

I would also suggest the creation of alloys. Granted only very skilled blacksmiths would be able to make them, and the main improvement would be a decrease in weight and an increase in durability. This would also allow for more trade between players and nations, as in order to make some of the high tier alloys, you need metals that can only be found in certain areas of Anthos.

No. Keep diamonds away from my children.

The diamond axe would need to be nerfed, at least. It does 4 hearts like the diamond sword, but is (to my knowledge) an exception to nexus combat.

I would like the ability to wield a diamond tipped cane (diamond hoe) though, good idea ever.

The more diamonds available = easier to get diamonds = bigger supply of diamonds = lowered value = less people caring about their items

How about this. Since mining diamonds only really gives you teeny tiny little shards, it should be that in order to make an item you have to use diamond blocks instead of raw diamonds. This would make diamond tools much more valuable as people will have to mine nine times as much to make their tools. Because really, diamonds are very rare and only form in tiny pieces.

This would also give even more value to the tools, as well as iron bars should be used instead of sticks for the shaft of the item. A wooden handle with a diamond axe head seems a bit dumb, ya know?

This is just my opinion on the matter.

I've been saying this for the past two years. Can it happen or..?

I personally think that this is a brilliant idea. Diamond armour and swords are just too overpowered but having the tools and the grappling hook would be a very nice addition.

I wouldnt mind Diamond Armour, if it was restricted to Nobility.

A sign of Wealth & Power for both the people and soldiers in battle to rally with.

Just a single set that would need to be repaired.
