✠ ECHOES OF CONSEQUENCE ✠ A Response to Royal Hubris I often read the missives of the grand happenings of the days. Today, however, I have had the displeasure of reading the excuse for a pity party. "We shall not let them extinguish our culture, our history!" you yell. "You have slaughtered our children, men, and women!" you weep, as if convincing yourself these were our goals at all. The truth is, you were never so important. We had no gripe with your cultures, none with your histories. We had no intent to extinguish anyone from these lands. You write with venom in your words, as if truly destroying you and the Coalition was and had always been our goal. And yet, it was you who first rang the bells of war. You brought war to our land for no greater reason I know of than to take it. You claim us as Devil's spawn, so that it may give you the right to slay our brave soldiers—our women and our children. And yet, those who rang this bell of war have forgotten that it tolls for all who may hear its call and respond to it by sword. You have poked the bear, you have angered the bull. And now you face consequences for it. It is all the talk of cowards who hold shiny crowns and circlets upon their heads. Who run, to leave their citizenship behind to die, and cheer for it afterwards. “At least it is I who have lived!” They smile, as the blood of their soldiers still stains the ground, or in this case, their throne room floor. Misty saw the humor in this missive, reading over it she really couldn't even laugh anymore. Offering a scoff. "They have begun and participated in a war they can not fight." Misty overheard the happening, she as well overheard the reactions to Veletz winnings. She couldn’t help but be confused.. “Ah, let us begin war. But how dare you, my enemy, continue to wage this war I have started and since made no attempt to cease or for peace. Why don’t you just lie down and die? Stupid enemy.” She mocked.

“Again?” Misty inquired, raising a brow as she glanced towards the man being ushered towards the castle cells.

Hearing of the occurrence through word of mouth, Misty would shake her head. The news was unsurprising to the Easworth, but she was disappointed nonetheless. ”These who boast their victories, these who celebrate our death and despairs, know not the irony they hold in all their inaction..”

A dark haired human glanced over the missive, before peering upwards at the board she took it from. Smiling faintly. "The only easy day was yesterday." "For Veletz, my brothers and sisters in arms." "For Veletz."

A black haired Easworth saluted her orcish comrades, proud to have fought beside them. "Merry Krugsmas, warriors."

"Bless you Orcish warriors. . Calling you avid fighters is far an understatement! Merry Krugsmas, to Veletz!"

Still wiping the blood from her armor and weaponry, a cocky smile was present on Misty's features. "For each man we had, they had almost three more.. And still we stand on victories hill. Today was a good day." Bringing her eyes upwards, she stared towards the red banner. The crow sigil woven unto the fabric staring back, her smile grew. "I make the Easworth House proud today, Father.."

I hoped it would have maybe garnered some attention from the people it’s specifically written for. My name is Idaline de Vilain- more commonly known as Ida. My mother is Agnes de Vilain. My father, Atticus de Vilain. Though, to my knowledge you have never met him. If any of my family is left alive, I apologize to inform you it’s most likely my mother is dead. As she did not leave the lands of Almaris, nor did my father. The purpose of this letter is that I search for you. I have been passively searching for the last decade, but in all honesty I have been afraid. I know little of my family besides that of what mom informed me. Don’t worry- all good things. But I have been unsure if you are all the same, or if perhaps sleeping dogs would be awoken by my writing it. But- I’ve been told any gripes people may have had of the past are likely little to none, if not forgotten as a whole.. So I write now, and I reach out to any of the remaining de Vilains. We start fresh. No one will have any money, hence the limit on materials that you can bring. You can get money again, as well as food- through voting. Which should keep you very much alive!

A human came upon the book in the library of the Mother Grove. A curiousity having struck her- due to the coincidence of name. Reading over it, a faint smile was brought to her face- as distantly she thought of the man who awaited for her at home.

Emerging from the depths of the flames long after the fall, guards in haste behind her and archers readying their bows, Merci thought of such a flier, one that she had read just earlier. Climbing atop her steed, blood staining the golden armor she wore as an arrow made it's mark in her shoulder, her eyes turned back to the destruction of a home. Her home. "May we prosper." She choked, and the steed would turn. Making it's great escape offwards, guards following not far behind her.. Even so. The girl got what she came for.

Merci watched as the buildings crumbled and fell. As evil fled the gates, through the grounds, the skies, the waters. All around, tearing apart the place she had called home. Never had she thought she would see this kind of scenery again, her eyes tear-filled and heart strained. And, perhaps they did complete their mission today. They took her home, or a place that once had been. Yet they would never steal away her soul. Not again. And they would pay in blood for every inch of land they sieged, and every descendant life they take.

It was confirmed by mods that it was a 3rd party who took advantage of the situation. They had nothing to do with LOTC, or with Acre. We did not dox you. No one encouraged anyone to dox you. We were the only side who told our players to keep things IC, so why would we go so far as to dox somebody?
