"Haelun vhen ich get older, ich vanna be like vy!" "Perhaps we will see, ja?" The young child who asked this question over and over again, has grown, he has finally grown into a young man. Elias O'Rourke found himself seated at the piano within Halstaig, playing his usual soft but meaning full melody when an elder tenant brought the news and the letter of his mother's passing, in an instant, a blink of an eye almost. The playing had stopped, the man had froze in his place, his dark forest hues reading the letter over and over again, drowning out the commotion of all who called this place home. "Nein, nein, nein." The man repeated over and over again, his head shaking violently as he fell from the bench, tightening the letter within is hands, "T'is can't be true." He call out in pure shock. Already having a hard time controlling his emotions, tears began to stream down his face. He felt his body tightening up, curling up into a ball as he wept into his knees. "Haelun, nein, it's t' soon." He'd choke out, "Vy never got t' meet vyr granddaughter, t'ere ist so much, nein..." Silence fell around Halstaig once more, the man who wept for his mother, continued to find himself reading the letter over and over again, his once bright forest hues turned to see his wife Iduna Anne, whom had been standing in the entry way. "Ich am nicht okay, t'is ist nicht okay, my haelun, s'e ist gone." He'd call out with a voice that has gone hoarse, salt stained marks running down down his broken visage. Elias soon after speaking his last words, only fell eerily silent, slipping into deep thought. An infant with a twin, taken in by a family of mostly elves, running around the streets of Karsograd causing chaos and trouble in their wake. A boy who has grown a deep attachment to his family, always saying that he would return home from long trips as he got older, always returning home no matter what. The young boy turning into a teen, looking to the the people around him, his mother, his grandmother, his twin brother, Elren, and to the rest of his family, watching it grow in size, the birth of Aela and Vivienna. Elias the most troublesome and adventurous, separating himself from his brother, but never straying too far. It was at this, he knew, he would need to come around more, need to check in on his family he was raised within, to not stay away for so long, dealing with the issues and people who call Providence home.

The looming ghastly figure of the long since passed blonde woman who is forever making her rounds around Veritas, felt a subtle shift in the winds, stopping in her paces, her pale gaze drifting to the skies only for a moments time before returning to the patrols forever walked.

A forever aging woman, sat within the darkness of her study, her pale gaze never leaving a pile of papers she seems to be working on. "When was the last time I saw daybreak?" She'd cackle to herself, only falling deeper within her madness. She pondered some more, finally looking to an old engagement ring that hasn't been cleaned in years, "Should I pay a visit to that unholy city of Providence?" The Palmer simply asked her cat, as if she was awaiting for the feline creature to respond. A twisted grin of the sorts growing over the elders face, "We will see in due time, but for now, I will sit and ponder in my thoughts as I've been doing for almost ten years now. Besides, I'm sure the family I was close to." She'd stop herself, thinking, pondering, slipping in and out of her thoughts and memories of many years ago, better years some would say at that, but no, many years of chaos that shall be remained unknown. "I'm sure they are fine, besides this world is cruel, I've seen it with my own eyes, only the strong survive while the weak is picked off one by one."

Within the chambers at Halstaig, Elias O'Rourke, found himself sitting alone in silence upon hearing the death of an old friend, one he hasn't seen or spoken to since youth years, but none the less, the young man lost another one he once knew. He could faintly hear his wife, Iduna Anne and their child Theodosia from the floor below, but he remained in bed, looking down to his slowly healing body from the chaos of days prior.

Within the quiet and empty halls of Halstaig, after Iduna Anne O'Rourke had drifted off to sleep along with their daughter; Elias O'Rourke, found himself seated alone with a single candle lit, his gaze settle across the dark room, landing atop of the silhouette of the piano. "Ich vas just a boy vhen ve met, ich remember t'e times, late at night vith vy and Stefan 'n t'e Library, just laughin t'e night avay." The young man slowly brought himself before blowing out the candle, instantly darkening the room once more, "Vy vatch my brother and ich grow up, vy heard all 'f our mischief t'at ve caused." Stepping out of the large wooden doors, finding himself standing alone in the gardens, "Marie, vy vill be missed but nicht forgotten, ich vill vatch over vyr ome'ii like ich said ich vould many years ago, ich vill nicht let t'at promise go." His forrest green slowly drift towards the cloudy sky as rain starts to soak his flaxen locks, he remained standing there, until the rain had passed, the sun slowly coming over the horizon. -

The ghostly figure of the fallen Jorden Brashton, sat silently as she did while keeping a watchful eye over the quiet city of Veritas. It started off as a normal day until the elfess, Briala, came rushing into the city, carrying the body of the fallen Gail Cordius. The idea of seeing a friend, fallen to the plague of death, a small frown formed over the forever ageing woman. “I’m sorry, dear.” The specter called out as she guides the elfess to the home of Aeline, “This is their home” After the duo converse a little longer, Jorden takes her leave, returning back to the shadows. “Gail, we have known each other for many years now, we have had our good times, even times of standing by my side protecting Talon’s Port. You were a good friend, I will see you in the seven skies soon enough, my old friend.”
-
Elias Asul'onn glances over the invitation, a small frown forming for a fleeting moment, "T'e veddin', ich vill be t'ere like ich said ich vould" With that, he tucks the invite away, taking it to other member of the Asul'onn family!

A raven as dark as night, flew through a mix of ice and snow as it reaches it's destination to a home in Haense; the home of one Astrid Palmer. The woman sat alone in front of the fire place, once finished reading over the news of yet another old friend meeting their end, no tears were shed. Silence filled the room besides the faint crackle and pops of the timbers burning and that of a small black kitten purring as she slept. "Damn, another lost to the sands of time, I have many interesting memories of you and I don't plan on forgetting them." Simply spoke the middle-aged woman to the shadows of the room. Her one eye gaze never breaking the orange hues of the flames, "I was twelve when we first met, you knew my aunt, she introduced us all those years ago in Kaendrin." With that, the Palmer slowly brings herself to stand, leaving the quiet room as she descends the many flights of stairs within her home, headed towards the dark abyss.

Look to the shadows, what do you see? You look to the shadows, you see nothing perhaps or your mind is just playing it’s own little mental game, making you think that there is nothing. Maybe if you look deeper, focus on the dark shadows, just maybe you will see that you are always being watched. The shadows are always lurking, they never seem to go away, even in the middle of the day. They are something you want to hide from but you can never seem to escape them. Allow the shadows to creep closer, allow them to grow around you, then one may get the chance to hear them speak. At first, all you hear is the unheard whisper, confusing at times, since you can’t truly understand what they are saying. As time moves on, the voices; they grow louder, you can understand what they are trying to tell you. You find yourself having full conversations with them as you unseeingly fall deeper and deeper into mental instability, falling deeper into insanity. When one allows the shadows to almost befriend the unorthodox creature of the sorts, they start to see the world differently, they start to have the lines of right and wrong start to blur together, making it harder to decide. When one finds it hard to decide the rights and wrongs, that is the daily challenge that they need to face head on, taking time to truly think about the actions they wish to commit. ~Signed A.P~

The Golden Vale peers over Veritas, a smile resting over their covered countance as they walk the quiet streets, "...Nothing makes me more proud to see the hard work pay off..."

An eye for eye, a phrase we have all heard before Many of thy descendants have their two eyes, but there are many of us who only have one. Whether it was someone taking an eye out in a fit of anger, fighting along brothers and sisters on the battlefields, or just pure stupidity, wrong place; wrong time. Some even go to far lengths to say that it’s a family curse of sorts, each generation of one's family seeming to be missing the extra orb, leaving one side blinded; blinded to see oncoming attacks, or even missing just the finer details within their daily lives. The one eye fool, is the one who doesn’t see their missing eye as a downgrade or the time to slow down. They take this disadvantage, push themselves to become a stronger person, be on the winning side of a battle with someone who has their two orbs. Some would see this as a foolish move, foolish that one with a disadvantage should remain the weaker, remain on the bottom of the pit, remain on the outskirts of a battle, to stay where they belong. ~Signed~ A.P
