  1. Astrid Thriceblood does not yet care for politics, still but a teenager. Instead, she contemplates building a soundproof bunker, so the sounds of mages fighting would stop bloody interrupting her. Some people have studying to do, you know. Have some common courtesy! Living below the arena was terrible enough...
  2. (Pinned to the notice-board at the city entrance is a handwritten flyer, written in a neat, careful hand.) TO ALL IT MAY CONCERN: Greetings. My name is Astrid Thriceblood, eldest daughter of Iduna Thriceblood (by half an hour- screw you Viarrah!), granddaughter of Laurissa Thriceblood, and I turned sixteen years of age this past saint's day. For my entire childhood, I've been dying to study magic and its related disciplines. Finally, I'm old enough to do so, but I've come across a disgusting roadblock in my journey - none of the relevant people I'm close to are free to take me on. Yes, I could wait until they are free, but that would take years, and if I have to wait much longer to start my studies, I might just wither away and die. So I've decided to be proactive, and am posting this flyer. I AM SEEKING A TEACHER IN THE FOLLOWING: (in order of personal interest) Conjuration Transfiguration One of the elemental evocations, I don't particularly care which one Please bird me A.S.A.P if you or someone you know might be able to take me on as an apprentice. Thank you. Regards, Astrid Thriceblood, medic-in-training and aspiring (SOON TO BE NOVICE) mage

  4. Happy TDOV everyone! I love being transgender and I love my transgender friends <3
  5. "You're kidding me- I thought my brother and Wilford were just very affectionate room-mates! Who-ever could have guessed!?" Angelina feigns shock, and wanders off to go hug her brother and (now-officially) brother-in-law to death. On that note, if anybody would like to civil union her terminally single gay self...
  6. last year's top 10 is about accurate :D

  8. pray for me y'all i have the first bit of guaranteed roleplay time in weeks only for my laptop charger to break so i. can't roleplay

  9. Tragically, with her skygod tormented by the awful phenomena known as time-zones, Angelina had been unable to bare witness to the godlike feat her younger brother had performed that day. But she had heard the tale, and pride was not a strong enough word for the emotion she felt towards Atticus. The progress he'd made, from such a timid, unassuming young man in his youth, to one capable of leveling castles - well, she ought to throw him a party, or ten. And in the night following, she picks her way across the river to what remained, and palms a chunk of still-warm slag for a souvenir. And another. And another. Say, do you think there could be a market for genuine Winburgh glass?
  10. Astrid Thriceblood reads over the missive, beaming widely. This sounds excellent. "I wanna be t' court sciencer," she mumbles to herself, already thinking about the usefulness of stink-bombs against grown-ups. With a nefarious little laugh, she scampers off to show her siblings - and hopefully rope them into this, too.
  11. Lady Angelina cackles with glee as she reads over the missive, heart swelling for her brother and his so-called room-mate. And, you know, herself, but that was a bit less relevant considering how her gay ass was chronically single. About time someone had some sense and talked to the church about it. Her cheeks are starting to hurt from how hard she's smiling.
  12. Lady Angelina can't help but weep for the death of her little friend. Sure, at times, he'd been a bit strange, and annoying, and weird, and off-putting - but she was in no place to judge, and really, that had only endeared him more to her. If nothing else, he'd been a courageous, loyal and driven little guy - too much so, clearly, seeing how it had caught up to him. "Rest easy," she sobs, laying a bouquet of flowers down at the door of his Moleton home. "I'll miss you, Gob. Keep kicking ass, wherever you are..."
  13. Lady Angelina grumbles something about Fantasy Sisyphus under her breath with a sigh. "Here we go again..."
  14. I know we only wrote together a handful of times, but you were always a delight to rp with! Sad to see such a talented writer go, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with your schooling and job, all the best for the future <3
  15. "PEACE! FINALLY, PEACE," Lady Angelina Reinhold crows, slinging a joyous arm around her younger brother in an almost-chokehld, upon his return from the summit. "Now then! How about that bloody vacation you promised me damn-near a decade ago now, hm? I think we've more than earned it." @Hom
  16. Lady Angelina hums-and-hahs to herself as she flicks through the missive, truly unsure how to feel about any of this. All she can hope for is any prolonging of the war came from true necessity, and there'd be no more bloodshed for bloodshed's sake. She was tired of all this.
  17. "Those little ones are war veterans," Lady Angelina chuckles, as she organizes some flowers to be sent to the new mother. "Someone knight them."
  18. "My condolences to the Von Theonuses - the property values of their keep are going to be utter rubbish now, with that eyesore of a view," Lady Angelina would chuckle to herself as she thumbed through the missive. She makes a mental note to speak with her friends within that family - she wants to suggest they plant a nice treeline to block out this Stassionite crime against anybody with working eyeballs. Eugh.
  19. "Catherine's getting married?" Angelina is aghast. She was terrible at paying attention to ages - the queen may as well still be a teenager in her eyes. Whack. She shrugs her shoulders, and descends down into her carpentry workshop - better get a gift ready.
  20. Angelina reads the missive with a smile. She respected Elena deeply, especially after she came to such harm protecting her brother from demons less than a saint's year ago. Good to see she wanted to continue fighting the good fight - against actual darkspawn, and not the imaginary victimhood some people were no-doubt cooking up.
  21. Angelina couldn't be more proud of her baby brother's contribution, right now. She lets out a whoop of glee, buoyed by her pride and general appreciation for explosives. "THE BRIDGE HAS GONE!"
  22. Late to the party, but +1! This is a really fascinating take on the concept of lightning magic, and I hope it gets to be explored further!
  23. Lady Angelina Lucien-Reinhold looks, perhaps, a little bit mortified over this whole prospect. But... If her family was happy, so was she. She wrinkles her nose a little at her portrait in the missive. Did they really have to capture how shabby her beloved scarf was?

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Liza all but falls onto the cushion, flashing the hag a sharp-tusked grin. "Ooh, my story. What a funny way of asking - never got why people put it like that. It's so... Imprecise! Vague! If you're after specifics, you're better off asking practically any other question. Shall I start all the way at the beginning, when my poor ma had to push out three little brats at once? When I was a little kiddy, stirring up mud with sticks and making so-called potions out of soap? How 'bout last week, when I lost my favourite book down a well - don't ask - and climbed down after it and then I lost my me down the well?" The goblin speaks at a mile-a-minute pace, hardly pausing to take a breath in-between the avalanche of words tumbling out of her mouth. It's a wonder she hasn't run out of air yet, and she snickers, taking the hag's lack of an answer as permission to go on. "The name's Liza. Don't worry about the surname, it's not important." "I grew up one of five kids, smack bang in the middle. There was us triplets, and our big sister, and our littlest brother. Don't you worry about who they are - we're talking about me here. Our ma 'n' pa were salespeople, travellers, so we moved about a lot. I got to see a lot of the world, but never very much for very often. That's the thing about travelling salespeople - you're always bloody travelling. Never putting down roots. Never staying put. Never just... Stopping, and taking it all in, whatever it is. And at my big old age of nineteen," an ironic lilt edges into her tone - she's aware of how silly that sounds. "I'm sick to death of it. Call it a super-duper-early mid-life crisis, leaving the nest, whatever. But I'm done. I wanna set out, do my own thing. I'm leaving them behind.'" "I fancy myself a bit of a amateur scholar, y'know. Who would've guessed - a goblin that likes tinkering and learning! Shocking!" A smirk twitches across her lips, and she chuckles again. "You've probably heard that a thousand times from a thousand different gobbos. Can't say I stand out from the crowd." She pauses, and for a beat, an oddly intense expression darkens her face. "Yet." And quick as a flash, she brightens again, and is rocking in her seat with enthusiasm, waving her hands about for emphasis as she explains. "I just want to do something BIG, you know? Capital B-I-G. Really make a name for myself. I don't know with what, I don't know with how, I just know it's gonna be BIG and DIFFERENT and it's gonna change people's lives. Mark my words, it's gonna happen. But to do that, I gotta do some learning. Need me a teacher. Access to facilities. Proper training, and all that. A kid on the road can only teach themselves so much." ((Hi there! Thank you so much for reading this through! I've kept things pretty vague, so I can adjust Liza over time as I get a better grasp of the server's lore and get settled in, but feel free to let me know if anything needs to be changed or clarified, or if you have any suggestions! Happy to answer any questions you might have. A couple of friends told me about LOTC and I'm excited to see more of what they talked about!))
