Fair enough, I hope you enjoy your time away from this server. Sometimes it's just needed to step back and to focus on something else, it's very unhealthy to let LotC or any other server consume your life. I'm not going to lie here, I myself have been somewhat tired of the map painting and ooc stuff by groups I am not permitted to name.
-
How has the server changed from your point of view in those 11 years, from then to now, and what changes do you like and dislike?

Nice

Dang no way, someone actually concerned about canonist nations map painting on Aevos, that's been happening for a long time now, and they do own the server, so I wish good luck to you for talking about this

I'm really enjoying the premium roleplay experience we have over here on LotC, I really appreciate it when I'm forced to forget five months, it really adds to the immersion

A Call to the People of Aevos
____Spectral____ replied to LoxyTheReindeer's topic in Looking for Group
[!] Very strange sounding spectral sulking can be heard from the ghost of fallen Norido ". . . a place away from the cruel monsters and invaders. . .? can't be. ." A spectral sounding voice would ring out from seemingly thin air -
[!] A ghostly Mali'ker would smile from underneath his bandana, letting out a series of spectral laughs as he reads the missive, before he'd go back to stalking people, and or wandering

Roughly 1.5 years on LotC, AMA
____Spectral____ replied to ____Spectral____'s topic in Ask Me Anything
Outside of my own characters being villainous, I haven't really encountered many villains per se, the one that comes to mind the most in this aspect, is the red lich; even though I had little-some involvement working with them on my 'ker, being limited to donation of items, and the kidnapping of my 'ker by their ghouls, I would still say it was quite memorable as it's one of the very few kidnappings that I survived and managed to get out of without dying. If we're talking about my own characters, well, the closest to a "villain" that could come to mind is my 'ker, being the first character I've ever made on LotC, he's quite memorable, even if I cringe a little. As for what drove him down this path, he was a typical 'ker for a while, but he ended up hanging around with the wrong crowd, getting injured in wars and kidnapping, and a bunch of bad stuff that I'm guessing isn't good for one's mind. He wasn't a very smart "villain" either, leaving his hair absolutely everywhere when he stole from people's chests, and wearing his bandana way too much in public. Justice finally caught up with him after he was busted for a failed assassination attempt of Haense royalty, he was extradited from Celia'nor, and was then hung in Haense; now he just vibes as a ghost, watching people, and not really doing much beyond that. -
The premise is very simple, I've been on this server for quite a while now and I'd like to answer your questions if you have any.
-
I feel like your character, and my ghost should meet up someday, or you know, he could be watching without you knowing, because ghosts are like that

Norido would raise his eyebrow at a missive pinned to the wall near Celia'nor, reading over it gently, he'd be taken by suprise and exclaim "Heh- they're making Celia'nor export the refugees of the war to Petra to be slain? That's disgusting, I may have to consider relocation again, bleh-"

A RANSOM OF THE UNHOLY ELVENS
____Spectral____ replied to UndetectedOfficial's topic in Forum Roleplay
Norido would read over the missive swiftly, whilst on his way through canonist lands, he'd scoff "Oh hey look, canonists being canonists by kidnapping people again! What's new?" Norido would then turn to continue riding on -
Norido would spontaneously stumble across said missive whilst traveling the canonist lands, he'd take a glance at said missive before turning his head to ride on-wards exclaiming "Bleh, more canonist talking points most likely. Maybe when they stop sacrificing and murdering innocent families and children, they'll come to their senses and realize that they're actually the villians."

What kept your motivation to go for 11 years on LotC? Back then I was in Primary School playing Minecraft on my iPad haha
-
How did you get so wealthy and powerful within the span of a year, assuming no illegal exploits or hacks were used?
-
Norido would stumble across the missive spontaneously, whilst near the lands of Petra, on one of his explorations, he'd mumble "Another worm dead, heh- it's about time justice was served for your assisted slaughter of innocent folk."
-
All across the lands of Aevos, hastily made notes would be pinned to seemingly random locations, and some notice boards; It reads as follows: "Please take the time to read this, I'll be grateful if you do; My housing situation is dire. The crusaders, and canonists have destroyed the place I call home, and the neighboring areas too, like I mean, it's almost completely gone. I'm currently in need of a place to stay that ideally is free of those who invaded initially, such as the crusaders and canonists, and anyone that would cause me harm as a resident of such places. I don't really care where it is, as long as I can be safe there. Please write back to me if you're willing to reach out, I promise I'll pay my taxes." Signed, Norido Vunnu

Norido would discover the missive pinned to a wall near the town of Venic, taking a moment to give it a read, he'd comment "This is most likely some sort of trap for the Vortician diaspora. . . the canonists are really getting creative on how they try and kill off our kind." Norido would continue on his journey, his mood soured once more

[!] A fine and well crafted letter would be submitted to the recipient, with a bid price of 1981 Mina.

Norido would stumble across the missive flying through the wind as he processed his mining duties near the remains of Whitespire, he'd grab it out of the air, unfolding it, to read it's contents gently; as he read through, a grin crept across his face, obscured by his black bandanna, he'd comment briefly, in a more sinister tone "Heh- heh- I sense a special opportunity.", after which, he'd pocket the missive, continuing with his typical tasks

Wow, that's really a lot of time on a Minecraft server, I was still in Primary School back then. What makes you keep going?

The Battle of Driftwood Hollow
____Spectral____ replied to Javert's topic in Grand Principality of Ravenmire
Norido would pick up the missive as it was flying in the frigid wind at Ravenmire's mine, whilst on one of his routine mining trips; he'd glance over the missive, shocked to see the name of his vassal, he'd read then missive carefully, before responding in a tone full of resentment "Traitors. I remember when I helped these folks when they settled here, honestly I regret opening my heart to you. It appears that you are with the people who aided in taking my home from me; I'd always keep one eye open when you sleep from now on, if I was you. Once I'm done with Numendil, you're next, you can kiss my sword, utter filth." Norido would then violently tear up the missive, as the shreds of paper blew in the wind, he went back to preforming his mining duties.- 1 reply

Honestly, I think we're all better off going outside and not playing LOTC, and it's good that you've put your well being first. We'll miss you! Farewell.
