  3. What is your preferred ideal for a soulstone location? A simple poll to settle an issue
  4. Deep in the crypts of Norland, at the bottom of a nigh endless pit, lay the discarded ashes - justice served - of one Rosalind. Once of Clan Vildr, of late an Outlaw, disowned and disgraced for her part in the wicked murder of her own mother, and the unholy desecration of the remains. The swift burning of Rosalind's corpse in accordance with Norlandic tradition was far better than what she afforded her own mother, who was left to rot in her own bed, head almost - but not quite - severed. While the mortal remnants of Tullia Vildr, whose soul has joined the All Father in his Golden Halls, sit sanctified within the ancient crypts, no such honour is given to the kinslayer. At the lip of the pit stands Edric, staring into the abyss. The shadows flickered in the cracks and crevices of the crypt, given form by the light of the torch he carried to guide his way into the unknown. Anger bubbled within Edric, that he did not witness the death of Rosalind, or preferably deal it to her himself, though it simmered in the knowledge that justice had been served for his sister in law. The silence of the crypt echoed about him for a time before he turned to leave, disrupted only by the guttering and roaring of the flame he held. Finally, hobnail boots clicked upon the stone floor as he walked out, heading toward the light of day. Later in the square of Varhelm, Edric finishes scribbling the missive regarding his erstwhile niece, lifting his hammer to nail it into the notice board of Varhelm. Rosalind Kinslayer has been caught, trialled, and punished. The bounty for her arrest no longer stands, and will not be fulfilled. Let it be known that the Kinslayer was executed through partial decapitation - a fair treatment in mirror with how she killed her own mother - followed by a peacemaking crossbow bolt through the brain. Her body has been burned, and her soul will be judged by the All Father as to whether she will have the opportunity to redeem her crimes in the Eternal Conflict, or be cast out into the Void. Edric Chief of Clan Vildr Pleased with his work, Edric gives a short prayer in memory of Tullia, and turns away from the sign. His mind is occupied momentarily by thoughts of his other niece, who still evades justice. Next is Daria, he muses. But now was a time for celebration and festivity, not mourning or hunting. He casts away the thoughts of Tullia and her children, and trots toward the crowd gathering in the square. "Just in time for the Festival of Bjorn!" Observes Edric joyfully, handing a purse to King Vane, the bounty money promised for dealing with the stain upon his clan's honour and name.
  5. Edric wonders aloud to his sons around the fireplace, "Peculiar. It seems we 'pagan' people are not puposely invited to partake in this particular party to pacify the poor lizards. I expect this performance to pain me, done by those without even a pair of peanuts in their pants."
  6. Implement post. Allow people to send messages from anywhere as with the current system, but people can only retrieve them by visiting a post office. Either by interacting with it or by being within a passive range. You put an npc alongside bank and auctionhouse, i get a notification saying i have post, i need to go to the post office to see what it is.
  7. Edric reads the notice and grins, slapping his son Rune on the back. "Fisticuffs, lad! Come, lets head to the arena and train for that. Im a tad rusty."
  8. If Daria was present when she said this, Edric would have happily informed her that a person cannot disown themselves.
  9. Let it be known by my word as Chieftain of Clan Vildr that Daria, daughter of Agmaer and Tullia Vildr, is henceforth disowned and outcast from Clan Vildr. No longer may she use the name Vildr to identify or further herself or her goals, or draw upon the contacts and resources available to Clan Vildr. Despite the overwhelming evidence suggesting the guilt of Rosalind Kinslayer, namely her own admission to the crime, as well as the threats she made upon the life of my wife, Herilissa Vildr, Daria has announced she will protect the outlaw, among other things. Daria has shown that she knows far too much about the events that transpired between Rosalind and Tullia, by making mention of an axe - which was not present at the crime scene, and so only an accomplice to the crime could know it was used. As no witnesses have come forth with further evidence toward Tullia's death, Daria's actions can only be taken as an admission of guilt, as an accomplice of her twin. She is invited to present herself to authorities in Norland, at which time she may present any relevant evidence and be given trial by the High Keeper. This extends to her sister, who has made no attempt to correct what Daria claims is 'false evidence', in order to clear their names. Thus, Daria is charged with being accomplice to murder, in specific kinslaying, and the Red Faith crime of unholy action by allowing her sister to mistreat the corpse of her mother. Further she is charged with harbouring and defending a known outlaw of Norland. For these crimes a warrant is now issued for the arrest of Daria, with a bounty to be given to any that return her to the custody of Clan Vildr. A hundred mina, in the form of five Norlandic Marks, will be granted to whomever does this, dependent on her being returned unharmed or with little injury. Fifty mina, in the form of two and a half marks, shall be granted if evidence of her death is obtained and provided to Clan Vildr. Signed, Edric Vildr Chieftain of Clan Vildr
  10. Edric reads the response of his other niece, and shakes his head in confusion. "Didn't the kinslayer admit to the crime, to my own wife? Curious also that she mentions an axe...there was no sign of the weapon at the crime. I suppose it can only be assumed that Daria was complicit in this heinous act, given the amount of knowledge she has about it." He begins to write up a similar decree for Daria.
  11. Let it be known by my word as Chieftain of Clan Vildr that Rosalind, daughter of Agmaer and Tullia Vildr, is henceforth disowned and outcast from Clan Vildr. No longer may she use the name Vildr to identify or further herself or her goals, or draw upon the contacts and resources available to Clan Vildr. Tullia Vildr has been found dead within the Vildr Clan House in Varhelm, her head almost hacked from her shoulders, and the house covered in blood. It has also been found that Rosalind has fled the scene, taking her belongings from the Clan House without any word. This is taken as an indication of guilt until such a time that otherwise can be established, as no witnesses have come forth with further evidence. Further events have transpired in which Rosalind threatened the life of my wife, in order to evade being questioned on what happened to Tullia. Thus, Rosalind is charged with the crime of murder, in specific kinslaying, and the Red Faith crime of unholy action by mistreating the corpse of her mother. For these crimes a warrant is now issued for the arrest of Rosalind, with a bounty to be given to any that return her to the custody of Clan Vildr. Fifty mina, in the form of two and a half marks, shall be granted if evidence of her death is obtained and provided to Clan Vildr. Signed, Edric Vildr Chieftain of Clan Vildr
  12. "Shun lust...?" Wonders Edric. "Their grandmaster is a world renowned lecher!"
  13. Give arctic and tundra more than 1 herb and 2 creatures, one of which is almost extinct and the other is rare and noninteractive
  14. If you make an effort to stop being anti norland, there are good lore writers in our community.
  15. Edric chuckles, taking the money from Vane. "Never bet against a salty southerner, lad. Drinks are on me."
  16. Hearing of the absolute seething emanating from Oren, Edric nods to himself. "I guess the king owes me five marks."
  17. In the lands of the Oren, posted secretly on street corners and passed furtively between hands in alleyways and at taverns, a short missive makes it's presence known. A number of copies circulate the population of Providence and it's surrounding territories, written in stark black ink upon the yellowing parchment. "To the people of the Empire, expressly those womenfolk who have made clear their desire for equality these last few years, and those that have championed their cause. We have watched your plight from afar, and find common ideal in your desire to be treated as equals to the men that enact tyrannies upon you. It has become clear that both the rulers of your lands and the leaders of your faith see little value in your presences, and will fight tooth and claw to keep you under their heel. A position from which they can abuse and enslave you all but in name. And so consider this an invitation to a land where you will be beyond their reach, where your dream of equality will be fulfilled. A land to the North. Long have our nations been enemies for one cause or another. Pride, power, wealth, there is little that cannot be named as a cause for our conflicts. But that conflict has never been with you, the common folk of the Empire, who unduly have suffered beneath Imperial yoke. Now we offer you the chance to free yourselves from that yoke, and come to live in a land that will treat you as equals. Under the Red Law, you may live your life in whatever way you wish - as long as you follow those self-same laws. There are homes vacant to those that seek them, and employment for those that desire it. Take this chance to find a better life in Norland."
  18. Edric reads the paper, humming a tune as he does so. Sat at the feet of the Ashwood tree, with a fair view of Varhelm square, the aging warrior wonders if he ought seek out some eyeglasses soon for just this purpose.
  19. What is CT angle on applications that have been accepted that blatantly break rules or established standards? I have identified some to members of CT and got no response Also, who exactly is the wiki team now? If both Jokerlow and VIROS are no longer CT and Hogo is now a manager and a mod, who is actually dealing with wiki issues, because I dont see how Hogo has time to do it in addition to his managerial and moderator duties
  20. Posters are found throughout Norland and on roads to other northern realms. They appear hastily made, the rough hand betraying the fury of the writer. The edges are emboldened with the red and green of Clan Vildr. It has come to my attention of a grievous crime and injury afforded to my wife, Herilissa Vildr, by the Skanarri of the north. Under pretense of peace talks, the Skanarri attacked our King and his envoys, my beloved among them. In her arms was my son, not even a year old. Sindri Vildr, who thankfully was unharmed. This did not stop the Skanarri from attacking her, a woman barely recovered from childbirth, with a swaddling babe in her arms. Two javelins struck my wife, dealing her grievous injury, though the swift actions of a healer saved her life. This wounding of my wife, and risk afforded to my son, will not go unpunished. I, Edric Vildr, challenge and demand satisfaction from the Skanarri - give me the head of the man or men that did this, or I will make it my purpose on this plane to bring death and destruction to your people until the flames of my life expire. There will be no haven for you to take refuge in. No fortress that will protect you, no shadow that will hide you, and no distance that will save you. Retribution will be had. Signed, Edric Vildr On the road to Nueva Tierra, still occupied by the Skanarri, a unique message is attached. Beneath the poster dangles a pair of severed hands from a Skanarri warrior, and a message: Savages. I do not know who among you committed this violation, and until I am afforded retribution I will make it my purpose to deprive each and every man hailing from your tribe of both of their hands, on the off chance that it was them.
  21. Yeah, they did. So they are actually now a rare creature compared to what they used to be
  22. Edric rips down the poster and turns to address the people gathered nearby. "This Inui is a liar and a traitor, who undermined the efforts of Norland against the tyrannical Imperials in the war, pretending to be a citizen while in truth she was an Orenian spy and sabotuer. Those same Orenians who cut off her limbs, and she continued to serve like a faithful dog." He rips the portrait of Inui from the poster. "I shall use this for a wanted poster later." "Any who take a shred of notice of this bundle of lies, misinformation, and Orenian propaganda, do themselves a disservice. Allow me to dismember just a few of them." He clears his throat, and then begins to list off but a few of the fabrications within the 'denouncment'. "Peace efforts before the war were ignored and refused by the Imperials. The leaders and clans of Elysium were all in favour of the war bar one. Elysium was given overwhelming aid in the war by the Northguard and by the King's Council. All citizens of Norland are expected to fight in defence of the realm, Inui was not some special case. Pregnancy does not give immunity from punishment for crime, it only affects the severity - as a spy, Inui was to be arrested and removed from Norland, things only became troublesome when they resisted arrest. Banishment is not negotiable - by stepping foot into Norland, you are breaking your banishment and will be punished for doing so. Atronach limbs are voidal magic and are illegal in Norland along with all voidal magics, again Inui is not some special case for this. The Rangers have been stripped of their right to enforce the law because they have repeatedly not enforced the law and enabled others to break it. They have been offered the chance to swear oaths of loyalty to Norland in accordance with our new laws in order to retain their law enforcement rights." "I could go on about the lies, propaganda, and nonsense that comprise this droning attempt to discredit Norland, but I fear it will become verbose." Edric throws the remainder of the poster into the mud. "Though I do like this new title, 'The Bloodthirst Kingdom'. Intimidating." He notes, before returning to his duties.
  23. Can we get some more animals added to this biome? I have listed some examples of real life creatures that inhabit this biome which could be converted into suitable creatures Polar bear, arctic wolf, walrus/lion or leopard seal, lynx, musk ox/caribou/moose, wolverines I know many of these creatures exist as standard, but various monstrous versions of regular creatures have been included in ecosystems for other biomes there are also various types of whales but they may be best associated with marine. But something like a monstrous killer whale makes sense for arctic There are also a large number of bird creatures. Arctic owls could make a good inspiration for an aerial predator Please at least consider implementing some of these in monstrous versions of themselves as arctic/tundra has been given almost nothing to work with. We arent even the only place that has trolls and the jellyfish are written such that you can almost never interact with them and there is almost no value in doing so outside of slice of life rp.
  24. Clan Vildr has a few personas available for players, and more upcoming in the next few weeks. If anyone is interested in playing one of these, reach out to me or another member of the family on discord. My discord is Sham#8133 - or you can grab me on server/on forums. For those who dont know, Clan Vildr is a prominent clan in Norland. We currently have a Clan House in Varhelm which is usable by all family members as free housing but we encourage adult characters to get their own homes eventually. When we have more players we are going to get a Keep similar to the O'Haras, in which case family members would be expected to contribute to upkeep of taxes (which will be easily covered by daily voting with plenty leftover). Currently characters in the clan must follow the Red Faith, but attending Red Faith events and stuff is optional. Those who want more information about the Clan, the existing characters, history and so on, can request it from me or another family member. Main branch Eirik Vildr - 24 (born year 10) - 2nd son of Edric (me) Eydis Vildr - 28 (born year year 6) - 1st daughter of Edric Branch family Amal Vildr - 20 (born year 14) - 2nd son of Agmaer Upcoming Sindri - literally a baby just born - 3rd son of Edric. This is the long con listing for anyone who doesnt want to play a family member just yet, more children will come in the future also. Further we are looking for suitable marriages for a number of the family members. For these, reach out and we can discuss how to best handle it IRP. Main family Rune - first son of Edric, my future character Eirik - npc Eydis - npc Branch family Amal - npc Daria - player Not sure if this is the right place to post this woops.
  25. "I would like to reserve a penny Mark bid on the Baroness of Halcourt, please." Edric mentions to the Ferrymen.
