    Ulric trudges through the forest, the mud squelching at his boots as he knocks an arrow into place. The elves were certainly sneaky bastards, they had already lost three of their eight man patrol through the Malinor forest. Ulric brings the group to a halt, motioning for everyone to get down. He had spotted a slight rustle in a massive oaken tree to his right. Ulric slowly brings up two fingers to his mouth. A signal for the accompanying bowmen to aim, and to shoot, where he shot. As Valden bowmen Damen Teffer and Boron both silently notch their arrows and give tension to the string. The movement in the tree becomes more apparent, more obvious now to the Valden patrol on the ground floor. Ulric pulls back on the string, the goosefeathers brushing lightly at his cheek as he takes aim, then looses at the rustle in the tree, the two other arrows soon following suit. The patrol heard a distant thud, and a two objects fell from the tree. One, a missed arrow. Dented by the tree on impact. The second, was a small squirrel with two arrows sticking out of its limp, dead, body. Ulric's accompanying men all bust out in laughter whilst Ulric tightens his grip on the longbow, "Shite."
