Revelations of the Immaculate Throne
HappyShackles replied to HappyShackles's topic in Vailor Roleplay Archive
"It is known that no other race was blessed with entry into the Seven Skies, only humans. It is known also in the Canonist Faith that only humans received GOD's visions and scrolls. This isn't about killing non-humans, it's about recognizing that Canonism is a human faith. Tolerating non-humans is not bad, but maintaining purity among one's peers can helps us maintain our virtue as Canonists," Says Daniel. -
The Dogma Of The Lying Pontiff

Revelations of the Immaculate Throne Revelation I I have interpreted GOD's will, and I have seen His light. I have read the words of the Canon, and by the virtue of GOD I have surmised that the failing of the Pontificacy lies not with any single Pontiff, but by the nature of the Church's structure. The High Pontiff, the Vicar of GOD, is chosen by a College of Cardinals which lacks the inherent divine inspiration existent only in the High Pontiff and the Emperor themselves. The Holy College shall henceforth have no word on the selection of the High Pontiff. It shall remain as the governing body of the Church which canonizes Saints and Beatified persons. The High Pontiff shall henceforth select, of his own determination, his successor. I, as the Vicar of GOD, do this under the absolute authority over the Church that I wield, which makes the Church's structure and purpose malleable to my will. I select Cardinal Stephen de Beaufort as my successor. Revelation II I have interpreted GOD's will, and now I speak for Him. The Immaculate Throne of Owyn was built not by the will of the faithful flock, but by the will of the Divine Himself. The blood of the Prophets ran thick with GOD's heavenly mandate. Many Emperors and Kings have reigned over the realms of men, but only the divine blood of the Prophets wields the right to rule over mankind. The blood of Owyn, Horen, Godfrey and Sigismund runs through the veins of the Imperial Household, and the Emperor. While the High Pontiff is selected by right of the previous Pontiff's divine right, the Emperor of Mankind is selected by the divine right of exalted blood. The Holy Orenian Emperor always must be the blood of the Prophets, and of all the men in the world, only the House of Horen wields all of the Prophet's blood. As the Emperor has the divine right to rule all of mankind, he wields this right over even the Vicar of GOD. Where the High Pontiff interprets GOD's will, the Emperor rules GOD's people, and no man is an exception. The idealistic misconception that the Church's sovereignty grants it power through independence is both sinful and ignorant. The High Pontiff is the servant of the Emperor, as any agent of GOD's will must be, and henceforth the Church shall yield all claims of sovereignty to the Emperor alone. Revelation III I have interpreted GOD's will, and I admonish the faithless as He does. The divine blood of the Emperor and the divine inspiration of the High Pontiff are gifted to none but humankind, for Owyn, the purifier bore a flaming sword in the name of purity. Ignorance and idealism has led many to believe the conversion of other races is a route to peace and unity. However, any man can see plainly that GOD has chosen none but humanity to wield his torch. Only humankind may walk the Seven Skies, or seat the Emperor or the High Pontiff's throne. Therefore, the Clergy of the Canon shall no longer accept non-humans into it's ranks. Canonism is a human faith, for humans alone. No longer shall we attempt to convert non-humans, a purposeless endeavor when the gates to heaven are locked for them. We have been charged by GOD to maintain our purity within this world, and so we shall maintain it. And so, we list those admonished by GOD, so that you may understand their failings in ascertaining the purity brought by Owyn and his flaming, righteous sword. Below, I have surmised the admonished of the faith, and their place in GOD’s world. The Admonished Heathens: The least admonished, for their failure to see GOD's light is born of their own ignorance and the ignorance of their people. Those who were born outside of Canonist teachings, and hold to a false faith. Heretics: Greatly admonished, for they have turned from GOD's light consciously and betrayed Him and all mankind. Those who were born into Canonist teachings, but have strayed from the Canon by either twisting the faith or converting to a false faith. Anethemas: Damned entirely, for they have embraced Iblees and insulted GOD with their crimes. Creatures and beings born of corruption or dark practices, or whom utilize it as a tool. Harbingers, blood mages, necromancers, shades, soul-infused constructs, dread knights, dread lords, and so on.

Heathens and Heretics -Bull of Riga-
HappyShackles replied to DanDan420's topic in Vailor Roleplay Archive
A response flies from the Pontifical palace to address the issue as well as reply to malcontent heretics. "Having no faith is heathenry at its worse. The faith of these lands is Canonist, and those who refuse to turn to the light of GOD have no place in our Empire. The ultimatum has been delivered. Convert, leave, or be forced to."- 9 replies

The First Golden Bull of Felsen The Sun’s Smile, 1560 Part I; Ad Collegium Appointment to the College of Cardinals The Church of the Canon and the College or filled with sorrow to announce the departure of the late Cardinal, Alec van Allen, as well as the resignation of Cardinal Enoch of Haense. The two vacant spaces in the College of Cardinals are to be filled by Georgiy Nikov, a priest of Luciensport, and Ragnar de Autson, a priest of Riga. Part II; Ordo in Dioecesei The Organization of the Diocese Archbishops shall be subject to a tithe of 300 minas per year. Bishops shall be subject to a tithe of 200 minas per year. The Dioceses of the Canonist Church are henceforth reorganized as such: The Archdiocese of Visiga Encompassing Visiga, the Outremer, the Blue Mountains, the Province of Erochland and the Province of Cascadia High Pontiff Daniel III The Archdiocese of Metz; Encompassing the Duchy of Istria, the Duchy of Drusco, the Crownlands, and the Metropolitanate of Felsen Archbishop-Metropolitan Stephen de Beaufort The Archdiocese of Ayr Encompassing the Duchy of Carnatia and the Archduchy of Lorraine Archbishop Svatabor Ivanovich The Archdiocese of Riga; Encompassing the Duchy of Courland, Duchy of Leone, and Duchy of Avar Archbishop Boiendl of Felsen The Diocese of Cisteria Encompassing the Kingdom of Vandoria Bishop Dargrind Floreck The Diocese of Courland Encompassing the Duchy of Courland Bishop Ragnar de Autson The borders of the ecclesiastical sees shall remain malleable, to account for changes in population and the reassignments of bishops and archbishops. Part III; Mutato Concilio Changes to the Curia The offices of the Curia of the Canon are reassigned as such: Vice Chancellor: Boiendl of Felsen Lord Vicar: Charles Francis Horen Auditor of the Tribunal: Svatabor Ivanovich Curator of Charity: Georgiy Nikov Commandant of the Vanguard: Edward d’Ambray Secretariat of His Holiness: Fabian Virosi the Lesser Part IV; Addens Locum Formation of Duties The recent reformation of the Holy Knights of Visiga warrants an alteration in the duties of the Commandant of the Sepulchres. Henceforth he shall be called Commandant of the Vanguard, a title to be coupled with Grandmaster of the Holy Knights of Visiga. Part V; Instauratio Sanctorum Militum Establishing Faith Militant The Church does recognize the stigma associated with a Faith militant. Since the time of John of Darfey, a militant Church has always been something capable of abuse and corruption. However, a Church that does not have men to protect its clergy and land is one susceptible to political abuse and misuse. Hence, the formation of the Knights of Visiga and the Visigan Vanguard. In addition, Bishops, Archbishops and Prince-Bishops shall be permitted to form their own guard forces, under whichever name they please, keeping in mind that only the High Pontiff may approve of true Holy Orders. Part VI; Episcopus Princeps Establishing Prince Bishoprics With the recent reclamation of the land of Avar from heathenous hordes, the Church does once again lay claim to the isle of Yale as a place of clerical rule. We of the Church do name Boiendl of Felsen the Prince-Bishop of Yale, to be afforded all the rights and privileges as a vassal of the Church. In addition to the establishment of the Prince-Bishopric of Yale, the High Pontiff sees fit to name Cardinal Georgiy Nikov the Prince-Bishop of Holofernes, to be afforded all the rights and privileges as a vassal of the Church. Part VII; Fines Inquisitio The Inquisition Ends The Second Inquisition upon the Circle of Dragur is henceforth called to a close. The Circle, known to associate with the Harbinger Orithur, has at the demand of the High Pontiff banned Orithur and other dark practitioners from the Circle. Rediscovery of any relations this center of learning has with such practitioners will result in swift action, but for now we remain vigilant, the Inquisition at an end. Part VIII; Movens Pontificum The Papal Seat For nigh over a century the Church in all it’s forms has held it’s papal seat on land independent of the Empire. However, the Church sees that with the return of the House of Horen to the Imperial Throne, the true and righteous rulers of mankind have taken their rightful place, with divine mandate and of exalted inspiration and blood. Where the High Pontiff is the voice of GOD, to interpret His will on this mortal plane, the Emperor is His hand, and defender of His faith. The union and relationship of these two offices, both ordained by GOD, is paramount to the continuance of dogmatic adherence and principles. Therefore, the seat of the High Pontiff shall henceforth be in Felsen. Certain renovations will be made to the clerical section of the city, including the Cathedral and the Library, to accommodate for the papal seat, and the Holy Vatican; sovereign land of the Church within the capital of the Holy Orenian Empire, and arbiter of mankind. Part IX; Parva Edictis Minor Bulls Oftentimes, Bishops and Archbishops are left with little direction in their day-to-day operations. The Church hopes to remedy this by assisting in giving the Bishops and Archbishops a new power; the ability to craft Minor Bulls. A Minor Bull shall be the method by which Bishops and Archbishops exert their clerical will on their diocese. A Minor Bull’s parts may include; Establish subsidiary organizations, guard forces or guilds, of the Church in the Diocese. Changes to the Clergy, Priesthood or Bishops in a Diocese. Updating the denizens of a Diocese on the status of the Faith in that diocese. Establishing regional Clerical law within a Diocese that is only relevant to the encompassed regions. Establishing a Bishop’s Clerical Council, to help govern the Diocese alongside him. Any other relevant matters or important edicts. Note that a Minor Bull may only be passed once the High Pontiff has placed his seal of approval upon it. Golden Bulls take precedent over Minor Bulls if a particular issue is addressed in both.

A Letter to the Nortruppen and their Allies It pains my heart greatly that war has befallen this realm of GOD’s work. War is more often than not nothing but a source of heartache, death and despair for all those involved, but most of all, for the folk who follow their lords with unwavering loyalty and devotion. However, to fight alongside anathemas of the faith, whose very existence is beyond redemption for their sins are so great, is to align oneself with the creation of the heartache of war. The Dreadlanders of the south are mere bandits. Their very land is proud of it’s declaration of lawlessness, and it’s people are merely a band of warriors who have no love for man or GOD. They are marauders and nothing more. They have accosted holy men in the streets, men sworn to peace, unarmed and for no reason but to sate the bloodlust that runs deep within them. The alliance of the Ostavar regime and the Dreadlanders is one born of manipulation and foolishness. Thomas and Sven Ruric have had their simple minds tricked into fighting a war they can not win by the Dreadlanders, who hoped to use the Rurics and their men as fodder. Yet their plots have failed, holy men have taken up the sword and struck fast and hard against the invading allied forces, and shown that GOD is with them. But GOD is mercy eternal, and loves all his creation. While the Rurics and Dreadlanders have fallen prey to greed and sought to seize crowns and wreak havoc for no reason but lust for discord, I do not hate those who serve them. They have been driven into a war that can not be won by men who do not have their interests at heart. The men who lead the Nortruppen will continue to use them to protect themselves and their selfish, chaotic desires; and so long as the Nortruppen follow them, they shall be hunted throughout the realm by men of many nations, who have already begun to crush the rebellion. But, you can be free of the agony that awaits you. And so I, as High Pontiff of the Canon and the Vicar of GOD, offer you, those who serve the Dreadlanders and Rurics, mercy and redemption. Come to Luciensport, and speak with me and my people. I will teach you of the love I have for you and your friends, the affection I have for all of GOD’s creatures. Renounce the leaders who have made you hated by the entire world, who have brought you into a war you can not win, and will bring you yet more pain to come as each day passes. God bless you, my brothers, my children. I have offered you peace and redemption; come to me and you will have it. We have warm homes and hot food, good people who will love you as your friends have. I pray you take me up on my offer, send me a letter at Luciensport if you do.

The Holy Knights of Visiga “A steel song rings from the souls of all the faithful.” The Holy Knights of Visiga are hand picked by the High Pontiff. The title is not honorary, but instead confirmed by a binding oath to the Church alone. They are a knightly order sworn to the protection of the High Pontiff himself, as well as the defense of the Holy Palatinate. Structure High Pontiff The High Pontiff has absolute and supreme authority over the Knights of Visiga. His Holiness, Daniel III Lord Vicar The Lord Vicar is the ruler of the Palatinate. While he often does not directly involve himself with the inner workings of the Knights themselves, he is their commander both in times of battle and in the absence of the High Pontiff. His Imperial Highness, Charles Philip Horen Grandmaster The Grandmaster is selected by the High Pontiff from among the seven Knights. He is the direct commander of the Knights and manages their day to day operations. Holy Ser Charles Valois Holy Knight The Holy Knights themselves are servants of the High Pontiff’s will. They exercise it in whatever way he commands, be it inquisition, crusade, execution, diplomacy, and so on. There are only seven at any given time, and no more. Holy Ser Alexander ‘the Savage’ Holy Ser Edward d’Ambray Holy Ser Joseph Ciacci Holy Ser Athos of Visiga Holy Ser John Kowacz Cavalier The Cavaliers of Visiga are a group of mounted cataphracts sworn to the service of the High Pontiff. Often squires are made Cavaliers before ascending fully to Holy Knighthood, though being a Cavalier does not make certain one will be a Holy Knight, as it is a handpicked selection. Squire Squires are both the servants and the students of the Holy Knights. They clean their armor, feed their horses, polish and sharpen their blades, serve their meals, and so on. In return, the squires are trained in swordsmanship, horsemanship, the faith, and other essential aspects of Holy Knighthood. Oftentimes squires are selected from among the Lord Vicar’s soldiery. The Palatine Code I. STATIONS i. Stand as guardians of the High Pontiff. ii. Protect the Creator's faithful from evil, whenever possible. iii. Hunt all worshippers of evil and practitioners of darkness. iv. Keep watch in the lands of the Holy See, and uphold peace and order. v. Be the Vanguard of any Holy Crusades, and Commanders of the Inquisitions. vi. Carry out the sentences of those convicted of crimes against the Faith and the Holy See. vii. Train the and equip the militia of the Holy Palatinate in times of need. II. TENETS i.Share, with tolerance and understanding, the word of the Lord. ii. Maintain a powerful and unwavering faith in the Creator and His word. iii. Seek to embody Horen's Virtue and Owyn's Spirit. Iv. Strive to deliver upon the faithful the embodiments of Godfrey's Gospel and Siegmund's Auspices. v. Obey, without question, the hierarchy of the Knights, and ultimately word of the High Pontiff. vi. Embrace our fellow Knights as Brothers, and treat them as such. vii. Know to violate the Palatine Code is to be stripped of his rank and to be exiled in disgrace. The Oath If I should falter in my course, send me never to the skies above. If I should succeed, bestow unto me His blessings, forevermore. For, now I march into a valley through which there is no path. And the stones cascade behind me, to seal my retreat. Though in this valley, I find my Brothers; Now I am named Guardian of His Flock. Should I falter, my shield shall turn to ash; But I shall not falter. -->Apply Here<--

Dogma and Principles of the Church and the Faith The Church of the Canon adheres to absolute monotheism, revering the one true God of the one true faith. He is regarded to have countless names rooted in countless traditions, but nonetheless is the same all-powerful figure, the creator of the universes. He is the source of good in the world, and thus those that shun his tenets are evil, evil being defined in the faith as a lack of godliness. Thus, individual pagans and heretics can unknowingly adhere to his tenets and be virtuous, but pagan and heretic societies are inherently viewed as less righteous given their higher tendency to stray off the path the Creator has willed. This is reflected in their belief in the afterlife where those who have remained loyal to God accompany him in the Seven Skies, while those who shun him and his ways are left to the Void, an oblivion of pitch-blackness symbolizing a world without God. This concept of afterlife has popularized the Lorraine Cross, the unofficial symbol of the Church, representing the Skies (the highest vertical line on the cross), the Mortal Plane (the middle line of the cross), and the nothingness of the Void below. The Creator has created the Holy Scrolls in his infinite wisdom; immortal artifacts which reveal the secret of the universe. When the end-days come, the Holy Scrolls in full shall be revealed to all of the world and all creation shall be redeemed of their worldly taint. In the mean time, to guide His sentient creation to righteousness, God has delivered four Scrolls of the countless Holy Scrolls, known as the Canon, through four exalted prophets; Horen I, Owyn I, Godfrey I, and Siegmund I. Only humans have received this prophecy due to their boon after the defeat of Iblees; while other races received more worldly boons reflecting constitution or immortality, Canonists interpret the gift to "wander the seven skies" as the ability to conduct in prophecy and be closest to God, particularly in the afterlife. Horen received the Scroll of Virtue, which illustrates the nature of God and his commandments. Owyn received the Scroll of Spirit, which illustrates the falsehoods of the infidel faiths. Godfrey received the Scroll of Gospel, which illustrates the canonical past of the Faith's prophets. Siegmund received the Scroll of Auspice, which illustrates the canonical futures in revelation. The Church of the Canon holds these four Scrolls as divinely writ and most holy, with secondary flawed texts consisting of holy works by saints and theologians. They believe no more scrolls shall be revealed until all creation has been redeemed. The Church of the Canon also affirms its identity as the rebranding the "Church of the True Faith" and "the Temple of the Faith" by acknowledging the tenets below. Dogmatic Tenets The Creator The most fundamental concept of the True Faith is a rigorous monotheism, called the Doctrine of One. The Creator is architect of the universe and progenitor of humankind. He is unique and inherently one, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omnibenevolent. Aenguls and Daemons The Faith holds that Aenguls and Daemons are true, physical beings with a presence in the world and powers granted by the Creator. According to the Canon, they possess free thought, and worship the Creator in total obedience. Aenguls are devoid of will and thus total servants the Creator, while Daemons are alike to humans and can choose between good and evil. Their earthly duties include communicating revelations from Creator, glorifying Him, recording every person's actions, and taking a person's soul at the time of death. They are also thought to intercede on man's behalf. The Scrolls describes angels as "messengers with wings—two, or three, or four (pairs). The Exalted The Faithful identify the exalted prophets as those humans chosen by the Creator to be his successors in the mortal realm. According to the Scrolls, three descendants of Horen were chosen by the creator to bring the "Will of the Creator" to the peoples of the nations through their actions and through the divine scrolls and so they were the Regent of Heaven in the mortal realm, and the successor of the Creator. The Divine must be descended from Horen I but not all Horens are divines. Predestination The Faith’s teaching of predestination, or divine-preordainment is derived from the fact that The Creator has full knowledge and control over all that occurs. Time is a dimension for the Creator so he knows everything that has happened and will happen, given that he is existed forever and will exist forever. Everything in the world that occurs, good or evil, is known by The Creator. According to Imperial theologians, although events are pre-ordained, man possesses free will in that he has the faculty to choose between right and wrong, and is thus responsible for his actions. Mercy of the Creator Repentance is the activity of reviewing one's actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs. In religious contexts it usually refers to confession to God, ceasing sin against God in order to gain forgiveness or absolution. It typically includes an admission of guilt, a promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible. The Holy Light The Holy Light is the light and wellhead of the creator that interacts with the mortal realm. It suffuses all things and is the most essential and timeless aspect of the Creator; also termed the Godhead, it reflects the infinite will of the Creator and his influence over the mortal world. It exists in all creation, though its strength is empowered by one's spiritual proximity to the Allfather. It embodies the concept of unconditional reality, which transcends the limited existence of mortality or even personality; it is a singular, driving force of purity and radiance which acts as the spiritual body of the Creator. The Holy Light is also the progenitor of pre-ordainment, acting as the primary mover behind all things that occur. Revelations The holy scrolls are the records which most Faithful believe were dictated by the Creator to Tesion and Artifai, The Faithful believe that the verses of the Early Scrolls were revealed to Horen I by The Creator through the an Archaengul on many occasions during his lifetime, although most of these scrolls were lost during the usurpation of the Horens. Later, through intensive translation and scrutiny, adaptions of the Canonical Scrolls have been miraculously rendered by various Church figures, enabling their distribution. Principles of Faith I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the Creator and Guide of everything that has been created; He alone has made, does make, and will make all things. I believe with perfect faith that the Exalted were the Creators Regents in this realm and that there obedience is worship to the Creator. I believe with perfect faith that the Aenguls are The Creators servants. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is One, and that there is no unity in any manner like His, and that He alone is our God, who was, and is, and will be. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, has no body, and that He is free from all the properties of matter, and that there can be no (physical) comparison to Him whatsoever. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the first and the last. I believe with perfect faith that to the Creator, Blessed be His Name, and to Him alone, it is right to worship, and that it is not right to worship any being besides Him. I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the Exalted Prophets are true. I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Horen I our teacher, blessings be upon him, was true, and that he was the chief of the Exalted, both those who preceded him and those who followed him. I believe with perfect faith that the entire scrolls that is now in our possession is the same that was given to our Exalted, blessings be upon them. I believe with perfect faith that the Holy Scrolls can not be corrupted. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, knows all the deeds of beings and all their thoughts. I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, rewards those who keep His commandments and punishes those that transgress them. I believe with perfect faith that there will be eternal splendor at the time when it shall please the Creator, Blessed be His name, and His mention shall be exalted for ever and ever. Principles of the Ministry The Church is born of Exalted inspiration through the Prophets Horen and Owyn; the Ministry of GOD. It’s purpose is to spread GOD’s love and word, and assist His flock in finding a path to His light. The Ministry of GOD is not confined to those of the Canonist Sect. Though the body is named the Church of the Canon due to its adherence to the Canon Scrolls, it is also a body by which all, faithful and unfaithful, may learn of GOD and His glory. The Ministry of GOD is not an instrument for the political endeavors of the lordships of any nation. It is, instead, a purely theological body which shall be subject to the will of no sovereign but the High Pontiff. The Ministry of GOD is not a body by which persecution and prejudice is born. It shall accept all races, peoples, and faiths as children of GOD, and show them His affection through tolerance, charity, mercy, and love. It shall, however, accept that the heathen and heretic are without love for GOD, and will admonish them. The Ministry of GOD is the supreme authority on GOD’s Canon, and the word he delivered to we, His flock. However, each person is a person born of GOD’s will, and thus they are capable of reason and understanding. This includes basic interpretation of their personal relationship with GOD. The Ministry of GOD finds that to touch the void is to tempt the same corruption of the Arch Daemon Iblees, and is supremely dangerous. Many magi have performed great deeds for the faith. However, their art’s precarious nature is well known, and the Church shall do all it can to prevent dark practitioners or chaotic wizards from bringing harm to the world as Iblees’ voidal corruption has done. The Ministry of GOD shall be the only body through which the Four Sacraments of the Faith may be administered, and it shall do so for those who truly seek them. These are; Matrimony, to bring blessing upon union. Baptism, to bring blessing upon laymen. Consecration, to bring blessing upon remains and relics. Ordination, to bring blessing upon clergy.

History of the Church The Church of the Canon has existed since the founding of the human kingdom by Horen I under various names, however a formal Head of the Faith was only appointed during the reign of his grandson, Owyn I. Since then the clergy has experienced turbulent times and periods depending on the political situation of humanity at the time. Initially known as the Temple of the Faith, the Church as it is today was formed by King Horen I after he was contacted by the Aenguls and granted the prophecy of his line and the Scroll of Virtue. He served as Head of the Faith until his grandson, Owyn Godwinson, came to power after slaying his traitor uncle Harren the Defiler, the forefather of the Adunians, and banishing his ilk from the lands of man. With this righteous action he returned the realm of man to the doctrine of purity and righteousness in fear of their Creator, and in reward he was granted the Scroll of Spirit. Under Owyn the first head of the Church was appointed, however the nascent clergy was unsophisticated and simple, possessing of little hierarchy. For several centuries the Church kept the Faith powerful and prevalent under the Horen dynasty. Eventually, the Horen dynasty grinded to a halt, their last scion abdicating only to be replaced by the House of Perea. For several unstable years under the Perea line and subsequently the Sheffield line, the Church grew redundant and was mistreated by the three usurper kings. Throughout this period, the Church was kept unified by St. High Priest Everard, who is in modern times praised for his ability to maintain the Church and keep it intact. With the undead onslaught, the Kingdom of Oren fractured into three realms, Hanseti, Renatus and Salvus. Only Renatus continued to adhere to the principles of the faith after the Church was absorbed into it, and for eighteen years between the split and the regency of Renatus there was no formal head of the faith. King Ezekiel of the Tarus dynasty surrendered his realm to a regent lord who finally appointed a Prince-Archbishop. When the regency ended and the dynasty of Horen was restored, the King and later Emperor Godfrey I was proclaimed the third prophet of exalted nature by the Church. This was due to his great deeds, as Godfrey did what others could not - he unified the quarreling human kingdoms by the sword and the cross and brought forth divine scripture. the Scroll of Gospel, a deed not done in over a thousand years. The appointing of a Prince-Archbishop, James Hightower, had thus established a common Pontifical tradition, although it would not be executed to its fullest extent until the reign of St. High Pontiff Lucien I. With the Exodus came High Pontiff Owyn I, a radical figure known for his gross accumulation secular power and political wit. It was this period of chaos where the final divine scripture of the Canon was revealed to the exalted Siegmund, the Scroll of Auspice, an ominous prophecy which revealed the end times. Siegmund released the Church of all caesaropapist oaths and allowed it to govern and elect among itself, granting the Church ultimate ability to administer its communion. With this came the middling figures of Radomir I and Lucien II, both mastermind theologians with lofty goals and little means to accomplish them due to the volatile nature of post-Exodus Oren. Whilst the former resigned in face of the challenges of the Pontificate, Lucien II turned to militancy to accomplish his goals, establishing the Order of St. Lucien, a fellowship which has had a strained relationship with its Mother Church. The clerical peerage had soon grown corrupt with their new found liberties, and High Pontiff Lucien II died in an attempt to restrain them in an assassination by poison. These corruptions had soon festered into sects, with various priests lobbying to establish their cultural rites as dominant. The two most prominent sects in the Empire, the Ruskan Orthodoxy and Rovinist-Lucienist sects had soon found themselves in open warfare against another due to petty doctrinal dogmas, while the Darfeyist Pontificate had tolerated, if not encouraged, the attempted genocide inflicted on both sides. This culminated in the Franciscan Massacre, where King Francis I of Oren along with his court were butchered openly by Lucienist and Decterum traitors. These Franciscican martyrs are heralded as beatified figures of the Church The brutal actions of the Darfeyist Pontificates had led to their stigmatization in society, with various nobles of renown outraged and disgusted at the open depravity of their Church. A group of young radicals, spearheaded by Basil of Sabris, a cleric of mild renown, had issued 21 theses against the Church, demanding an open purge and overhaul of the ecclesiastical order. The ruling family of the period, the House of Chivay, had used the document as basis to restore a caesaropapist tradition, leading to a deep decline in clergy activity, with many who felt the practice heretical in face of the Siegmundic tradition. This Third Interregnum was kept together by the High Patriarch Thomas I, known more commonly as Cordal deHerendul, a closet Canonist who maintained the farce of caesaropapism until the Chivay regime was usurped in the Vibian Coup and the Church could restore its rightful liberties. The Third Interregnum ended with the appointment of Siguine of Barrows being named High Pontiff by the Ecclesiastical Synod; he took upon himself the pontifical name of Daniel I, in honor of Saint Daniel of Al’Khazar, the patron saint of peace; the period in which Daniel was elected was known as a time of troubles, with chaos and instability caused by the coup of Vibius de Sola and other squabbling by both secular authorities and religious authorities alike. However, his hopes for stability were dashed with the incessant civil discord characterized in Emperor Tobias’ reign. The two however, benefitted from another, as the Holy See was granted the lands of Fursten and Cyriaum to establish a clerical powerbase. While Daniel remained apolitical in the fall of the Carrion Empire by the hands of the Renatus Occult and Aesterwald, the successor states found his carrion descent concerning and declared schism. The Great Schism War was fought between the Kingdom of Akovia, the Duchy of Savoy, the March of Adria, and the County of Werdenberg against the Konigreich of Aesterwald, the Mardonic League, the Orcish Warnation, and the Dwarves. Canonism prevailed as its soldiery crushed the opposition and peace and stability echoed throughout Oren after a half century of tensions. Daniel used this period of peace to elaborate and adapt the Canon; his work in rendering it to the Common Tongue had enabled a sprung in growth of religious knowledge and activity. Written tradition and the standardization of liturgy and religious dogma had earned him the moniker ‘the Reader’, for his scholarship and pursuit in academia. After forty years, he passed of old age in the Blessed Patrick Cathedral in Petrus. His protege, Theodosius of Fursten, secured the Synod election thenceforth, seeking to electrify and build upon Daniel’s foundation. Finding no pontiff nor saint who managed to do such, he took upon the name Sixtus III after the little-knowned Sixtian Pontiffs, in hopes of establishing his own legacy. Unfortunately, after six years at the helm of the Pontificate, Sixtus III was assassinated after rumors surfaced of his support for the Adrian side of the Orenian civil war. His successor, Daniel II, led the faith before, as High Patriarch Thomas I, and is overjoyed at the chance to redeem himself as the leader of a true and legitimate faith instead of a caesareopapist puppet. He is the first non-Raev Pontiff since the days of Darfey. Sixtus' successor was swiftly chosen by a slim majority, Cordal d'Herendul for the second time in his long clerical career was chosen to lead the faith. Taking upon him the name Daniel II. Daniel II's reign was considered by most to be a success, though due mostly to his counselors whom would often rule in his stead. As the Vicar of GOD Daniel oversaw the stamping out of heresy in Kaedrin, with the assistance of the Magnate, he also sanctioned a crusade further south. Under Daniel's hand the godless steppe bandits of the south were driven from their lands, making way for the founding of Luciensport, and the assurance of relative peace amongst the faithful. He died of old age. Heads of the Faith i. The Diarchy - High Priests Evaristus I and Clement I The first heads of the Holy Faith appointed by the successor of Horen, Owyn I. ii. High Priest Sixtus I iii. High Priest Alexander I iv. High Priest Pontian I v. High Priest Stephen I vi. High Priest Paul I vii. High Priest Paul II viii. High Priest Sixtus II ix. High Priest Liberius It was under Liberius I when the great Priestly See of Pontian I was ravaged, the archives of the Faith lost, and the Priesthood destroyed. Whilst the majority of mankind still heralded the faith of Horen I, there was no singular Head of Faith until the High Priest Marcus; instead , the Church’s dogma was governed by various clerical circles whom acted as peers. What little is known about the Church prior the Sack of Pontia was due to texts saved in his escape. x. High Priest Marcus I The first and last leader of the Faith under the line of Horen, he was appointed in the reign of St. Daniel whom sought to restore the Priesthood after centuries of decentralized clergy. He proved able and competent in swaying the various religious circles to submit to his authority. xi. High Priest Bernard I The first non-human leader of faith and the first recorded leader of the Faith under the usurper Perea and Sheffield dynasties, before which the Church was held in high regard by the line of Horen. Bernard was of halfling origin and relatively mild-mannered. xii. High Priest St. Everard I The progenitor of House Hightower, Everard I was the last High Priest of a unified Oren. He died a martyr, attempting to prevent the non-believer Sheffield king from abolishing the Church entirely. After his reign the kingdom splintered, causing the Church to be absorbed into the Phoenix Kingdom of Renatus and lose a great deal of power and influence. The First Interregnum was caused by the split of Oren into Hanseti, Renatus and Salvus. xiii. Prince-Archbishop James I The first of the Renatian Pontificate, James I was the son of Everard I and was appointed to the position of Leader of the Faith by the Lord Regent Reynard Lycian. His carnal desires and greed was well-noted by peers, as he often wasted away church funds on courtesans and masquerades. xiv. High Pontiff Pius I The second of the Renatian Pontificate, Pius I was a high elf born of the noble House Silverblade under the name of Gideon. Instated by the newly-crowned Godfrey of Horen. Famed for his lechery and libertinism, Pius was known to have impregnated several noble ladies and was notably violent and bloody in his behaviour. xv. Blessed High Pontiff Adeodatus I 'the Simple' Adeodatus was also of House Silverblade, born Boiendl Silverblade. Having been significantly less problematic than his two predecessors, Adeodatus’ reign was stagnant however peaceful. He was a pious and charitable mystic, who spent much of his church tithes tending to the poor and sick. However, he is infamous among tavern-folk for the wild-stories of his reign; a famous fresco of the era depicts him running about in his undergarments through the streets, his speech was cluttered with abrupt and offensive shouting, and his attempts to regulate and legalize prostitution in Oren stirred deep controversy among reactionaries and conservatives. This eccentric nature prove to be his downfall, as many of the clergy demanded the more disciplined and orthodox Lucien to take upon the papal laurels, and soon enough, the simple Adeodatus I resigned from his post. Despite his outbursts and oddities, he was recognized for his piety upon his passing and later beatified, for his goodwill and simple nature. xvi. High Pontiff St. Lucien I 'the Good' 1395-1420 The fourth and final of the Renatian Pontificate, Lucien I was Velwyn Ashford, a member of the Order of the White Rose who was a prominent reactionary and human supremacist. A pious High Pontiff who believed wholeheartedly in fulfilling God’s work, Lucien’s reign was uneventful however during it the Church’s good reputation was restored and various significant theologians were fostered under his tutelage. xvii. High Pontiff Owyn I 1421-1437 The controversial successor of Lucien I upon his exile, Owyn was one of the more notable heads of the Faith. Throughout Owyn's long and tumultuous reign, he acquired large tracts of land and political power for the Church not seen since the days of High Priest of Pontia. In modern times as then, he was reputed by many as corrupt and ambitious, and is more notable for his achievements in secular policy than in the faith. However, to others, he was acclaimed for his contributions to the Siegmundic prophecy. The Second Interregnum was caused by the abolition of the Pontifical throne by Owyn I; a deeply heretical move which was immediately resisted by clergy. xviii. Blessed High Ecclesiarch Radomir I 1437-1446 The only head of the Faith and the Church being called High Ecclesiarch due to his extraordinary nature of ruling as a King and High Pontiff during varying periods of his lifetime. Born as Franz Joseph Carrion, Radomir is an extreme reformist who aimed to mold the Church into a tool of both power and precision so it might spread the word of God by the sword and the cross. However, his reforms had led to radical bills such as the Bull of Dibley, and as a Pontiff is condemned for attempting to make the Pontificate hereditary. He soon realized his folly and amended his bills, but later resigned due to frustration of his abilities. Over a decade later he inherited the Orenian throne as King Francis, before being butchered in the Franciscan Massacre. xix. High Pontiff Lucien II 'the Unready' 1446-1451 High Pontiff Lucien II reigned as High Pontiff after Radomir. He was the first High Pontiff elected by the Ecclesiastical Synod, the college of Bishops convened to choose a successor to Radomir in the wake of his leave. Lucien II was a Lucienist that sought to expand the Church's presence in Oren. He oversaw the establishment of the Order of St. Lucien and the assimilation of the Teutonic Order into the Church, as well as reviving a tradition of regular mass and fasting in the significant cities. However, during his reign his neglect to manage his subordinates led to his lack of political sway and, according to some, his death as he was assassinated through poison. xx. High Pontiff Regulus I 1451-1457 A relic of Godfrey's era, the imperial traditionalist Regulus was unanimously chosen by the Ecclesiastical Synod to take control of the Faith after the death of Lucien II. During his reign, many doctrines were established and clarified, yet his issues in unifying the various sects, and later openly tolerating and patronizing Darfeyist and Rovinist plots had led to the brutal Franciscian Massacre and a sharp decline in moral authority. His station was brought under heavy scrutiny after its lead role in overthrowing the Carrion dynasty and replacing it with the Chivay dynasty. Regulus retired and abdicated his title shortly after Emperor Peter I's coronation. xxi. High Pontiff Pius II 1451-1457 Pius II is known for being the shortest-lived head of Faith, his reign lasting a paltry six months. While of outstanding learning and particular renown, the staunch member of the Rovinist-Lucienist fellowship soon found himself deposed in favor for the notorious John of Darfey himself. He was hunted down and killed by his former colleagues after trying to resist his deposition, known for little else other than being a pawn in their political machinations. xxii. High Pontiff Paul III 'the Wicked' 1457-1460 There are few held in such high contempt in the Church histories as the figure "John of Darfey", a bastard of low cunning and malevolent intent. Little is known about the Jrent's early clerical career, but his rise to prominence began under Radomir I where he found himself appointed as the Bishop of Corazon. From thenceforth, John of Darfey utilized political connections to severe and poison the human state, fostering deep sectarian issue and dissent which culminated in the Franciscan Massacre. However, growing resentment against his political dogma and abuse of clerical authority led to his deposition by the Chivay government. The Third Interregnum was caused by the abolition of the Church at the hands of Robert Chivay and the institution of the Reformed Communion, a caesaropapist tradition presided by High Patriarch Thomas I, which greatly curbed the rights of the clergy. Church activity waned until the Vibian Coup, and the Canonist Church was restored by will of Thomas I. 1460-1471 xxiii. High Pontiff Daniel I 'the Reader' 1471-1512 The longest reigning High Pontiff in recorded history, Daniel I began his pontificate as little more than an adolescent and ended it a withered man. He witnessed three wars and the fall and return of a unified humanity; the Schism War, arguably the most significant of the three, revolved around the distrust faced against him due to his Carrion blood. However, despite the war and strife surrounding humanity, Daniel was a notable pacifist of weak constitution, choosing to the quill for his battles over blade. He earned the church lands and kept its sovereignty and neutrality throughout the period’s crises, establishing the Church’s presence as one significant yet apolitical; a mediator in disputes and center of higher learning. Prior Pontiffs largely relied on an inconsistent oral tradition to reference and minister faith, but under the reign of Daniel, liturgy, holy scrolls, dogma and histories were chronicled for posterity, enabling the priesthood a far greater understanding of faith and tradition than ever before. He is characterized for his passion for scholarship and academia, evoking a new literary tradition among the clergy, earning him the moniker ‘the Reader.’ xxiv. High Pontiff Sixtus III 1512-1518 Having ascended to the position of High Pontiff following a controversial election, Sixtus III sought to further progress conversion of the Elven subjects of the Kingdom of Oren and to make more efficient the Church, who's attendance has seen better days. He did indeed make great strides in conversion, founding a mission in Malinor with the help of Abbot Radovid of Blaviken. Unfortunately, before all his goals were accomplished, he was assassinated by an unknown man, becoming a martyr for the faith. xxv. High Pontiff Daniel II 'the Old' 1518-1525 The only man to have ever been crowned as the leader of the faith twice, Daniel II (the past High Patriarch Thomas I) sought to finish his late predecessor's work, though he failed in that regard. He was successful in other areas however, commissioning a crusade upon the Lesser Tarchary and with the help of his Pentarchy, founded what was to be Luciensport. Daniel II furthermore spearheaded efforts to end the Owynist Cults cropping up within Kaedrin. He died in his sleep, of old age and mild renown. xxvi. High Pontiff Everard II 'the Wise' 1525-1537 The second Pontiff to be unanimously chosen by a papal conclave, Everard II attempted to re assert papal influence, and justly govern the church entrusted to him by GOD’s faithful. He did so with efficiency and under his reign papal influence expanded greatly. Everard confirmed Papal Dominance with the crowning of John Horen I as Holy Orenian Empire, following the untimely assassination of Guy de Bar. With the arrival of the Cordobonese Exiles, the creation of the Inquisition, and the establishment of the Patriarchy of Laurelin, Everard's reign was one of expansion. He was killed by aeldenic assassins in the Garden of Adricho. He was slain beside Adrian of Kaedrin. With his death, he left behind a legacy of expansion and strength. xxvi. High Pontiff Lucien III 1537-1546 The first Pontiff to appear from the stock of cordobonese exiles, Lucien made some reforms towards bringing a less slothful church which worked to some degree of effectiveness. He controversially made enemies in the realm of Oren, but supported their war against the Dwarves, and Dunamis. One of Lucien's only acts of note was his conversion of Lord Protector Narfis Yar. Lucien III died in his bed after being beaten in battle by a horde of Orcs. xxvii. High Pontiff Tobias I 1546-1552 One of the last of the line of Blackwell, once lordly vassals of the House Winter. A man with a kind heart who loved GOD and sought to do good in His name, Tobias I struggled largely with disagreements with his own Synod, among whom Charles Francis Horen was his primary malcontent. Among the declaration of Lorraine as a Holy Land and the Annulment of King John of Vandoria’s coronation, Tobias attempted to exert his will in unprecedented ways, which led to his support both from nobility and clergy to nearly disintegrate entirely. He passed away from illness, the last years of his reign extremely stagnant.

How to Serve the Church; Clerics, Soldiers and Laborers “Ask not what GOD’s will is; for it is perfection. Ask only how your will can serve Him.” To join the Church of the Canon and swear one’s life to it is to swear one’s life to not only the Church, but GOD himself. Service to GOD and Church is a great virtue, for a man who forsakes his secular desires and acts only for GOD’s sake truly embodies selflessness and humility. There are many ways to join the Church and assist in its mission to bring GOD’s peace, mercy, charity and love across the mortal realm. From the farmer to the Knight, no man is exempt from true service to GOD. Joining the Clergy Joining the Clergy is a vow that can only be released by the High Pontiff himself. There are three sects of the clergy, divided by their individual vows. I. The Priesthood, who are recruited as acolytes and may be promoted to the rank of Bishop. They are an eclectic group whose charge is the spreading of GOD’s word to their flock at their assigned parish. II. The Sisters of Saint Tobias, a group of nuns whose directive is the management of the poorhouses and orphanages named subsidiary of the Church. Their primary headquarters is located on the Isle of Yale. III. All monks are members of the Brothers of Saint Daniel. Their directive is purely theological study, as well as the spreading of GOD’s love and charity. Monks are not tied to any specific parish or diocese, and most often are in a state of constant pilgrimage, worshipping praying at wayshrines and Churches as they wander. Joining the Protectors of the Church Since the beginning of the faith men have raised their swords for the sake of GOD, purifying the impure and protecting the exalted and divine. There are three separate ways one may use their skill as a soldier to serve the Mother Church. I. The Inquisition is a body which is revived at any given time that the Church sees a great theological threat to mortal kind. Any man may join the Inquisition in a voluntary capacity, whether or not they have oaths to a secular Lord or not. II. The Holy Knights of Visiga are a group of Seven Knights, each of them, granted an estate in the Holy Lands for their service as the direct bodyguards of the High Pontiff. They are sworn to protect him and serve him and his word without question, as well as being charged with the guardianship of an Ashen Urn, within which the ashes of a blessed person resides. III. The Lord Vicar’s bannermen are a group of soldiers who serve the Lord Vicar of the Holy Land. The Lord Vicar rules the Holy Land in the name of the High Pontiff, and as such the protection of the land itself falls onto him and his soldiery. Joining the Lord Vicar’s soldiery is a matter entirely between the individual and the Lord Vicar. Serving the Church as a Layman A layman is a person who has not taken oaths as a clergy member. The Church shall always welcome those who seek to serve the Church either temporarily or in a voluntary capacity. The layman can take certain oaths in service to the Church without being bound to clerical or knightly commandment. He may also offer his assistance in a voluntary capacity. I. A layman may join the Children of Saint Tobias, whose sole directive is to assist the Sisters of Saint Tobias with the management of charitable events, along with the poorhouses and orphanages considered subsidiary of the Church. II. Laymen may serve the Church by becoming a citizen of the Holy Palatinate. They shall be afforded all the rights and privileges of a citizen, and be permitted to assist in the gathering of necessary resources or materials for the Church of the Canon. +__________+__________+__________+__________+__________+__________+ APPLICATION Despite the specific options laid out above, a person may also offer his services in a way separate than what is specifically detailed. The Eighth Golden Bull of Holofernes The Deep Cold, 1553 "Do not assume GOD's will." Part I; Ad Collegium Appointment to the College of Cardinals The Church of the Canon has surmised that Bishop Noah Wheezer has unfortunately either fallen ill or inept, and his contact with the Church as well as his constituents within Istria has been next to zero in the past several years. He is henceforth removed from his position in the College of Cardinals. Father Stephene de Beaufort, an able diplomat and theologian, shall ascend to take his place. Part II; Ordo in Dioecesei The Organization of the Diocese Archbishops shall be subject to a tithe of 500 minas per year. Bishops shall be subject to a tithe of 300 minas per year. The Dioceses of the Canonist Church are henceforth reorganized as such: The Archdiocese of Visiga Encompassing Visiga, the Outremer, the Blue Mountains, the Province of Erochland and the Province of Cascadia High Pontiff Daniel III The Archdiocese of Metz; Encompassing the Duchy of Istria, the Duchy of Drusco, the Crownlands, and the Metropolitanate of Felsen Archbishop-Metropolitan Boiendl of Felsen The Archdiocese of Carnatia Encompassing the Duchy of Carnatia and the Archduchy of Lorraine Archbishop Svatabor Ivanovich The Archdiocese of Riga; Encompassing the Duchy of Courland, Duchy of Leone, and Duchy of Avar Archbishop Stephen de Beaufort The borders of the ecclesiastical sees shall remain malleable, to account for changes in population and the reassignments of bishops and archbishops. Part III; Mutato Concilio Changes to the Curia The offices of the Curia of the Canon are reassigned as such: Vice Chancellor: Boiendl of Felsen Lord Vicar: Charles Francis Horen Auditor of the Tribunal: Svatabor Ivanovich Curator of Charity: Alec van Allen Commandant of the Sepulchres: Vacant Secretariat of His Holiness: Fabian Virosi the Lesser Part IV; Addens Locum Formation of Duties The Holy Land of Visiga and the city of Luciensport have suffered from a lack of stewardship and consistent leadership since it’s founding, due to the Mother Church’s fluctuating leadership. In order to bring consistency and law to the lands of Visiga, Charles Francis Horen is henceforth named Lord Vicar of Visiga. The Church shall afford him all the rights and privileges of a vassal Lord, and he shall rule the Holy Land in the name of the High Pontiff, subject only to the will of the Church, and bound to its’ neutrality.. Part V; Congressus Fidei Congress of Faith The Mother Church calls all Clergy to the Congress of Faith, to discuss matters of the faith in the realm as well as to remain up to date on the status of the individual clerics. The Congress shall be held in several Saint’s days. Matters to be discussed; The Ruric Rebellion The Inquisition The Distribution of Diocese and Parishes Etc. ((Sunday, 4/26; 12 PM PST)) Part VI; Inventa Haerasis Heretical Discoveries The Church of the Canon’s investigations and discussions with those known as ‘the Dreadlanders’ have garnered unfortunate revelations. The Dreadlanders revere Augustus Flay as a Saint and claim to be of Ruskan Orthodoxy; but their Church is not true Ruskan Orthodoxy, it is a bastardized form of the faith whose primary differentiating practice is the treatment of Augustus Flay as an Exalted personage; not merely a Saint. In addition to their belief in a false sainthood and claiming to be a nation of Ruskan Orthodoxy (a schismatic sect), members of the leadership of the Dreadlanders have openly threatened His Holiness, High Pontiff Daniel III, during peaceful meetings. While the Church is not an instrument of war, it must recognize that adherence to heresy and schismatic sects is, and always shall be, an affront to GOD. Despite the Church’s neutral stance on all secular conflict, it can not condone a Canonist lord’s decision to be the first to use of heathenous and heretical allies in a war to topple a Canonist government. In a meeting with both Thomas Ruric and Sven Ruric, they proclaimed love for the Mother Church and reverence for her; only to moments later watch silently without expression as Kili of the Dreadlands threatened His Holiness with violence. The Church is thankful for their proclamation, and the many gifts and assistance House Ruric has offered the Church in the past. That being said, the Church does not believe a Canonist Lord’s motivations should be subject to the will of heretics and heathens. We of the Church ask that the House Ruric renounce their allegiance to the heretics to whom they align. The Church of the Canon, in this way, seeks to establish a precedent for future generations, detailed as such; Any Canonist Lord who is the first in war to align himself with nations or bodies which are heretical, schismatic, or heathenous shall be excommunicated. Such is a betrayal of Owyn’s purity, and more often than not, a political action made without care for GOD or the Church. Part VII; Incipit Inquisition The Inquisition Begins As proclaimed by His Holiness, Daniel III, the Second Inquisition of Vailor has begun. The purpose of the Second Inquisition is the dismantling of the Cult of Xion and the Circle of Dragur’s dark practices, which have become known full well to the Mother Church. The Inquisition shall approach the Inquisition with peaceful means where possible, but it shall never tolerate dark practitioners, harbingers, undead, necromancers, and so on. Such creatures are considered abominations before GOD. Where humanity is pure, they are inherently impure, and so must be purged by swords of righteous fire. However, those who forsake their dark practices, or abandon these Godless organizations, shall not be the target of the Inquisition. Archbishop Svatabor Ivanovich, as Auditor of the Tribunal, shall be charged with leadership of the Inquisition, and given the High Pontiff’s seal on all Inquisitorial matters.

The Second Inquisition The Destruction of the Xionist Cult and the Circle of Dragur The Xionist Cult, and the Circle of Dragur. Godless bodies created by Godless men, but is not simply by virtue of their inherent atheism that their demise must be brought. While neither the Church nor it's allies across the world have deciphered the precise relationship between the two, it has discovered that the Circle of Dragur is led by a Xionist Harbinger; a creature born of corrupted magics that has no purpose but to insult the light of virtuous, faithful flock of Vailor. The Circle of Dragur has, on several occasions, been found to perform inhumane experiments, pursuing dark magics involving necromancy and reanimation. In addition, the Circle has been found to harbor tomes which teach of these dark practices, and allows them to be taught among their peoples. Countless other such accusations have been levied from many witnesses. The Church of the Canon can only assume that both the Xionist Cult and the Circle of Dragur are deeply rooted in these black practices, and their very existence an affront to every faith, not only the GOD of the Canonist Faith. As such, I, High Pontiff Daniel III, in an effort to purify the land of such dark creatures, do declare the Second Inquisition. The purpose shall be the dismantling of these organizations, and the destruction of the dark practices they seek to propagate. Members of both the Xionist Cult and the Circle of Dragur are invited to plea their case. Those who disavow these organizations and provide ample support in discovering the dark practitioners will be spared inquisitorial wrath. We await answers from the leaders of these organizations as well, in hopes that we may discover remorse behind their dark actions, and guide them to the light of GOD. Consider this your first, and only, warning. High Pontiff, Vicar of GOD, Daniel III
