  1. A painting of Hiebe Irongut Within the center of the capital the decrepit Aengoth, Prophet of Grimdugan, takes a place within the throng of dwarves with a large tome in hand. With a few degrading comments to those attending he hushes the crowd before he begins to speak. "We've seen maneh a dwarves comes n' go wif'in tah Grand Kingdom o' Urguan n' faced maneh challenges. A rare few dwarves 'ave proven t'emselves tuu be blessed by Yemekar n' 'is council ove 'is fellow Braf'mordakin. We're but mortal bein's n' at toimes we fail in our task in seein' tah Braf'mordakin's will, w'ich in turns dis'onors t'ose who are deservin' ove our reverence. It is toime tuu repay tah debt we owe tuu une ove our eldest n' most respected members ove societeh. 'Iebe Irongut wos une ove tah first proper clan faf'ers n' t'rough 'is guoidance tah Ironguts 'ave been une ove tah most prominent clans since tah salvation ove our people by King Simmpa until e'en now. Naet onleh wos 'e n' abled leader ove 'is famileh but 'e rose tuu become tah strongest mage our people 'ave ever come to know. W'oile maneh a mage falls tuu tah corruption o' magic 'Iebe Irongut remained true tuu 'is people n' bof' passed on 'is talents but also acted as a mentor fer near e'ereh mage tuu e'er walk amongst our 'alls. 'Iebe Irongut 'as been a warrior, mentor, advisor, n' King amongst our people. N' on t'is day we finalleh acknowledge 'is position amongst tah Braf'mordakin's blessed." Aengoth takes a moment to take in a deep breath following his fanatical rant before he bellows for all those present to hear and pass on. "Frum now on 'Iebe Irongut shall be known as tah Faf'er ove Mages n' a Paragon amongst our people!" How many would remember Aengoth as he proclaims Hiebe Irongut a Paragon ((OOC: Hiebe Irongut will be added to the list of Paragons. Paragon: Hiebe Irongut "Father of Mages" Patron: Ogradhad Symbol: A Tome Alignment: Chaotic Good Hiebe Irongut, a dwarf of the 1st century, forged the beginnings of the powerful dwarven mages. Through his dedication to the dwarven people he was seen through his constant work as a warrior, advisor, and even as king. His ability as a mage was outright one of the most powerful in terms of fire and water. He taught many students and passed his knowledge and wisdom to many of all races. Hiebe Irongut was a leading figure amongst the dwarven people throughout his over a millennium years of service until finally he passed away during the Third Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Outside of his service to the Kingdom he was known as one of the most skilled Clan Fathers, maintaining the Ironguts position as one of the three most prominent Clans with numerous Kings. ))

  7. *A notice is posted in Kal'Akash* It has been some time since I've last made a statement regarding my plans with the smiths who do choose to work for the Nation and not as independent contractors. Keep in mind this announcement is for the immediate future throughout the remainder of this war and may change in the future depending on the state of our people. Being a Blacksmith as a whole is a very independent trade with limited interaction with others of the same craft unless it is in some form of training or managerial task which are few and far between. For this reason I will not be pursuing to renew the independent blacksmithing guild. Any and all blacksmiths who seek work within the kingdom may find the Legion most fitting. The Smiths will do their duty to put the nation ahead of themselves and work for the Legion to better provide them armor and also serve within the Legion. Any Smiths who are not part of the Legion are outside of my jurisdiction and may negotiate work on there own behalf. The Legion Smiths will not be spending time in establishing a independent guild hall due to the redundancy of such a establishment. If they got far enough to be useful to the Legion then I am sure that they will still be able to provide for the Legion without the need of a communal area that will only gather dust. Additional Notes: -As Forgemaster I have no affiliation or control over any groups related to the craft of Golem creation or Runesmithing until later discussed. Groups dealing in such matters are not under the jurisdiction of the Forgemaster. -Blacksmiths who sign up with the Legion are expected to contact the Forgemaster directly to find a task for them to do within the Legion. Signed, Forgemaster Aengoth

  9. That sounds like a dreadfully dull existence for anyone who chooses to play a monk that will only result in the same complaints about activity. I don't see the reasoning to limiting anyone from volunteering there time to help out new players and taking on such a neutral position. If you have people willing to take on such a niche and giving position without any sort of benefit then what is the issue? Side tangent: I think the old format of the monks was fine, really what I found to be the largest issue for them in the last year or so was the positioning of Cloud Temple. More often then not it is in a secluded corner when in reality it should be a central hub of the map (EG: Asulon & Late Anthos). If you seclude them and the only times they get to interact with people outside of the monks is briefly when a new player shows up or random visitors (which are few and far between). If the AT want to be involved with the monks that sounds great, or any other member of the community be it staff or otherwise. Build a nice home for them (please use follow the old sandstone format most of us remember so fondly) in the new area and let them flourish by the docks. With the Monks at the Docks I think you will find a activity boost compared to the old location.
