  1. Transfiguration is broken into 3 Sub schools, Transmutation, Enchanting, and Warding. (So yes, It is a sub school.) The only "Utility" you get out of Transfiguration is Enchanting, in which is the ability to simply imbue a spell into an object, typically with a set of commands and a mana gem to empower it. Transmutation isn't even a valid utility besides using it to forge something or alter property's simply. It looks complex, but it's rather simple and something that doesn't out weigh any other magic. If you want to use Enchanting for a combative purpose, especially when it comes to imbuing a combative magic into something, you are far better off learning a different evocation than doing such as Enchantments are slow, and typically if you use a powerful spell, it kills the mana gem after use rendering your 'Utility' Useless. Runesmithing is actually a lot more utility than enchanting in many ways, you can make massive golems and powerful devices that enchanting can't even do. Everything has it's own special snowflake to it so.. I literally do not see how this "Takes from other magics". Also your comment on Arcanism where you can do conjured weapons? Yeah, typically conjured weaponry is extremely hard to do and is not very useful compared to a natural blade, the only time it becomes useful is that weird light saber lore stuff, in which isn't even commonly used. To answer your question: No, I do not agree, these magics have their own advantages and greatness over Transfiguration.
  2. I can agree with you, both magic and research / Development can happen, yes. But the point I'm simply trying to make is this: Wards and Abjurations do not need a buff, and a lot of the current Transfiguration will agree with this statement: Don't detach any of the sub schools of transfiguration, Please.
  3. I remember how this was actually a thing. So the players were confident in the work being done by people, Im proud of you guys
  4. This has to be the silliest thing I've ever read, do you even know anything about Transfiguration? Half of this stuff wouldn't be possible and it's way too close to Fi' Magic. Wards and Abjurations are simply disruption/alteration of the connection between a spell and mana, you cant make more out of it. Why don't we leave something that doesn't need a buff alone for once? Why don't you stop trying to fix things that aren't broken.
  5. Sarrion would pass by, going to turn the poster he was holding rightside up, patting his shoulder before walking off.
  6. A new document with the symbol of the enchantry lingers, one may find them selves reading such at a library. The Arcane Gift A thesis from the desk of First Enchanter Sarrion The Arcane Gift, A scar in which is embedded in all descendants with true potential. Willpower is the key to unlock this potential, and with it comes the plethora of power that is embedded within us. This power is not one to surpass GOD and does not surpass the powers of those who serve him, the arcane gift is simply one of true potential simple, as man may tap into with the true potential of a skill that comes with practicing with a blade or hammer. This true potential, It is one that comes with a lifestyle embedded in so many lives, From the Mage to the Sorcerer and Wizard ways we find ourselves so drastically distant from those who do not have such an arcane gift, yet we are truly indifferent. We are simply those who take up book and wand, rather than a sword and hammer. This lifestyle, It is one not of chains and oath, loyalty to serve, It is one in which the arcane gift allows us to fully embrace our art in which we paint upon the canvas that this gift allows us to access. We implement it into our very lives as not by choice, but because it is the path we chose to follow and with such as any man should we take responsibility for his choices. The arcane gift will make man weak, for the laws of equivalent exchange dictates that for one, you must give another. For our potential, we give our potential to do these other crafts and skills away, our strength. But as always there are the lost, Those who throw away their potential and arcane gift to use it for naught the discovery of knowledge or the power and potential of a faction or nation but simply to hurt. This blindfold of power engulfs the mage in ways that many might follow without magic, and use their power to hurt with incoherent and distorted reasons, or to torture for fun. We dub these of our kin ‘Rogue Magi’, ones who refuse the lifestyle of the arcane and embrace one known for cruel and personal gain. They are naught lost as hope may be brought to them, but in the end of they refuse such it is our duty together to amend this, and ensure the safety of not only other magi by the viewpoint of those without the arcane gift, but the safety of our ways and how all who gaze upon it see it. In the end, We all have different reasons from among our selves on why we choose to embrace our arcane gift. Some do such for power, in their minds linger the thought that perhaps a potential fireball holds high ground over the pull of a bow or swing of a blade. Some do such for knowledge, they delve into the unknown to bring the known back to descendants, allowing us to embrace a new found knowledge that we had once lost. Some of us were born into it, our parents embedded into the ways of the arcane for their own reason we grow up to look upon the arcane as something we must do, to follow in the steps of our parents as if one may become a knight like their father, or a smith. In the end, this is our life and we embrace this with passion regardless of why we took this path. First Enchanter of the Enchantry, Sarrion Zytiaear
  7. A letter addressed for Destrian, the parchment of elegant texture and folded in a very fine way and stamped with a wax sigel of the Enchantry. You open it.. Dear Destrian, The Enchantry formally invites you to travel to our home and sit down with my self to discuss the possibility of having you perhaps join the halls with us here in the mountains, and study the arcane. Be sure to bring everything to help your case such as possible documents you may had written and your knowledge on every subject you know. I will be personally interviewing you, if you impress my self then we may come to terms. Signed, First Enchanter Sarrion Zytiaear
  8. The Enchantry thread has been updated(11/22/16), and it is known that they are currently seeking members openly, thus the heavy restrictions of the past have been removed.
  9. In the waking moment, we had forgot to ask, has lore gone too far?
  10. "History repeats its self once more it seems, give it another century and another backstabbing governmance of aherals will rule another haelunor into the ground to be consumed by an empire that will shatter, and repeat." Uttered an archon as he drifted by.
  11. Somthing that should already exist +1
  12. "Discount for your boss?" Inquired Sarrion
  13. "Perhaps I'll keep an eye out for her." Muttered Sarrion as his gauntlet gripped one of the pages, tucking it away and continuing forward.
  14. I think the merged magics and buffs are cool and needed, make mental magic and cognitism great again. (: It was a good read, loved the art and the post.
