Third Post Kingdom of Bulgar Priests from across the nation celebrate the finishing of the temple at the capital, through worship and chance, Relis Korkus is granted simple magical powers as the first magi of the Kingdom of Bulgar. Power surges through his veins as the rightful ruler of all lithborn. With new power granted to him, he tests his powers out across the kingdom. Holding his hands out above the temple grounds, he begins to speak in ancient tongues. The High Lord’s words seem to flow like honey from his mouth into the hearts of all lithborn within the kingdom. The distance between the words of the king and the subjects of the realm seems to weigh nothing as his words bleed deep into their minds. An impulse is seeded in each lithborn throughout the realm that they act upon. Five adepts sing his words in reverberance, echoing his command. Each lithborn repeats the words as if being controlled by the god that changed them. Thousands of newborns arrive into the world under the king’s command displaying slightly different features from the magic. Some of the children have a blend of green and other skin tones as the magic changes them. Many adolescent lithborn are instantly put to work building several farms across the kingdom to continue to bring food to the kingdom. A lesser financial minister arrived to meet the High Lord. He bowed his head and knelt to the monarch. “My most highest of lords, you keep few coin in the treasury, we fear that-” The king cut the man off. “You should not worry of that right now as Grimsborith has openly blessed us as well has granted me magical guidance in leading the kingdom.” The financial minister nodded and turned to leave, having given his advice. Second Post Kingdom of Bulgar High Lord Relis Korkus stood at the forefront of the temple. Dressed in gold sewn purple cloth garb he held a knife above the chest of a beleaguered man. His hands were bound to together as well as his feet with his back arched against a stone altar. The king lifted the cupped knife before slowly inserting it into the man’s chest. Ripping open a gash in the dying man’s chest, two high ranked priests aided in widening the orifice. The Kingdom of Fyr-Darrick is approached for a trade route through the forest. Plans are established should they accept in using the many river systems and forest pathways for immediate trade. I would rather never have to see a lithborn die in a false cause but I fear that kingdoms are changing around us and we must reignite the warrior culture of our ancient past. Kingdom of Bulgar For decades the Kingdom of Bulgar has retained power over the northern territories in silence but with a growing economy, half breed lithborn spread to other kingdoms in search for trade partners. With many of them born of other humagi decent, they focus on their efforts on them. Taxes from the millions are set aside for a merchant guild, the ground breaking in the capital for the new establishment. Orders ring out across the kingdom as the surrounding cities also create their own branches of merchant guilds. High Lord Relis Korkus is seen to be expanding the economy of the nation for a growing populace. A diet of noble lithborn are assembled with the king speaking to all so he does not have to repeat himself like in many of his meetings. “It is time for expansion, to fuel the growing populace’s desire for a greater kingdom, we will be establishing merchant guilds in each of the cities as well as I am sending the crown prince to establish a third settlement. The world changes around us and we will need a strong border as well as securing of the mystical locations in both the east and the west. Upon the next year we will be developing the military. Each noble is ordered to draw men up in preparation for the up and coming conquests. The mysterious wall to the east will be examined and if suitable manned with a guard force for eastern securities.” Thousands of men and women sign up for an expedition of settlement near the northern lands. Crown Prince Daerin Korkus leads the lithborn in the new settlement, his advisors being the lesser nobles of the capital hoping to achieve a higher status in this new city. A proud lithborn stood at the foot of Daerin Korkus, crown prince of the powerful kingdom of Bulgar, his stance kneeling before him. “Lord Prince, the expedition has gathered and are ready to set off as your command. One thousand of the Enforcers of Bulgar have been properly assigned and are collecting the final pieces of their equipment.” The Crown Prince nodded to the noble and grumbled out, “And of the path way? Has it had the guards stationed out to secure the area before the settlers are moved?” “I have had the guards informed that 200 of them are to lead in a vanguard a few miles ahead of the group and leave sentinels along the road to guide us while the remaining 800 are to guard your Lord Prince’s presence as well as the nobles of the initial settlers,” spoke the kneeling noble. Daerin smiled as he had planned this with his father and was finally able to execute the power his birthright gave him. “Good, I will be finished handling some affairs. Kingdom of Bulgar BRIEF History: The people from the Kingdom of Bulgar were once normal humans trapped in the forests of the Greenthroat. Originally of ice tribes to the extreme north, they were offered a new existence by a demigod known as Grimsborith. The few ice tribes that were able to escape the Greenthroat through the sacrifice of their kin spread across the world but the ones that were trapped took the offer of Grimsborith in those sacred woods. Binding his flesh to the first human turned lithborn Humagi was Chieftain Tiber Korkus then his family. The people of the northern tribes were never the same, with their skin changed to the green forest that trapped them and their facial features mimicked to be that of Grimsborith (Elder Soul). Grimsborith offered these gifts to the Lithborn in exchange of eternal prayer to him, accepting his boons, the Lithborn began to increase in population and power soon moving from the northern icy woods southward to the ocean coast of the Delmatic. The people under the command by the established ruling family of 'Korkus' settled in the river basin near the Greenthroat. Several human and humagi were either conquered or massacred in the name of Grimsborith and his boonful light known as the War of Three Tribes, the War of Spite, and the Reclamation War of The Greenthroat Trees. Nation Culture: Lithborn Humagi Human Or Humagi (Describe Humagi): Humagi, created from the wild magic of the Greenthroat, these humagi known as the 'Green Devils' or 'Lithborn' have lived in the border areas of the Frozen Gulf before they travelled southward to the Delmatic Ocean. Led by a monarch known as the High Lord, the Lithborn were told by their god, 'Grimsborith' maker of Greenthroat and slayer of frost giants, to travel southward till they hit the coast, from there to wait till he sent an envoy to direct them again. It has been over 300 years since the recorded history of that initial event happened and it is now that they control a large portion of land which they use to trade and travel. The lithborn are normal humanoid shaped but their characteristics change with every Lithborn. Some Lithborn can show horn protrusions crowning their head while others will have long tails ending in a spike. All Lithborn have extremely sharp teeth as well as angular features. They are able to breed with any human race but these creatures do not carry the same rights a full blooded Lithborn may have. The lithborn pride themselves on their lineages, while the monarchs pride themselves purely on their god blood they say was derived from Grimsborith himself. Nation Government System: Absolute Theocratic Monarchy With the king as the head of both religion and of the kingdom, he retains all power he was granted by Grimsborith in the initial blessing. An aristocracy works under the royal family handling projects throughout the city and manage sections of the kingdom in the Crown's name. A lesser nobility run high ranked positions such as the courts and banks as well as are the primary members of the acting church. A gentry of commoners promoted to lesser nobility exists but are few and far between, ultimately being a goal every lithborn may wish to achieve. The commoner class of farmers, merchants, and artisans work as free men and women as slavery does not exist in the kingdom but exceptions occur for battle captives and conquered peoples. The lowest of the people are half borns, either born from lust or spite, these halfborns are treated as lesser than lithborns and often act as middlemen between trades with other foreign nations. Economy: x5 A primarily self contained economy, the people of the kingdom provide all of their wants and needs within their own land. Their needs being simple and their wants little. Education: x2 A majority of the populace live as simple humagi with little to no knowledge of the outside world. The primary job of the military is to enforce the court orders and the crown orders within the kingdom. Mysticism: x4 Unrest is short lived in the kingdom, with dogmatic and zealous belief in the ruling family and the Grimsborith's ever blessing hand, the people have little to fear beyond a possible bad harvest due to lack of faith. Key Figure 2: Crown Prince Daerin Korkus A renown hunter of the border areas of the Greenthroat, the crown prince of 21 is next in line to achieve the throne, following his father everywhere as if his shadow. His two younger brothers (17)(13) often read the notes he leaves behind after hunts and council meetings so they understand the workings of the growing kingdom. Key Figure 3: Lord Oracle Taper Greenhand The second to the High Lord as the head of the church, the Lord Oracle (35) and the High Lord often engage in lustful actions with each other as the king has claimed no queen but many suspect the two to become married soon enough. Unique Unit: Warriors of Grimsborith These legendary units are the best warriors coming from the Kingdom of Bulgar. After consuming a rare mineral in a mystical ritual the body of the warriors change, forming into 10ft green devils. Armor is specially made for these changed beings that are inscribed with mystic markings of praise to Grimsborith. The warriors of Grimsborith are unable to be controlled once they engage in combat, only able to be stopped by the direct command of the divine Grimsborith or when battle ceases completely (Either in their death or everyone is dead). Few reach the position of becoming a Grimsborith and many only undertake this ritual when coming from non-nobility attempting to achieve fame or fully dedicating their existence to Grimsborith. In the game of football, the event alone whether a player or observer, is great fun.” Actions Taken: Propaganda is spread out across all of Iberia on supporting a united Iberia. (1916-1/2): Reino de España Several elections across Spain occur as the new year arrives, with a shift in the political power. A new Prime Minister is seated as well. Out of the 409 seats in Spain, 213 are seated as Conservatives with Eduardo Dato leading the pack. Eduardo Dato formerly served as Minister of the Interior, and Minister of Justice. Several royalists also dominate as a separate unit from the conservatives but have heavy ties with the Conservative Party at 59 seats. Many liberals are unseated from power as nationalism rises in Spain with a locked control of power as a coalition government with 272 of 409 seats. Joaquín Sánchez de Toca y Calvo serves as Dato’s second in command who formerly served as Minister of Justice and Minister of the Navy as well as Mayor of Madrid. Alfonso sits back in his chair, while he speaks to his wife. “My people may be angered by the outcome of the conscription but it is for a great cause. Spain launches its invasion into Portugal, claiming rights to several cities that were once apart of the Spanish lands under King Phillip I&II when he first united the Iberian peninsula. The government promises a quick conquest of Portugal with the new Prime Minister explaining in a quote, “The Portuguese will soon come to realize that they are beholden to the union of Iberia. Iberia should be one as was the natural progression of Castile and Aragon into Spain, so shall the natural union of Portugal and Spain be.” A two year war against Portugal is promised by Dato. Troops along the French border move in their attack plans, aiming to capture the two closest towns to the border. Artillery batteries blast into any guard regiments in the area as Spanish troops move in to garrison captured land and dig in. The Rock, an old sore to the Spanish, is sieged with the entire town being surrounded by well trained companies of men. Over 32,000 soldiers put pressure on the Rock. Prisoner of war camps are immediately established to allow enemy combatants who surrender to be safely kept away from the war. They also serve as a way to prevent mass killings of future Iberian citizens. In these camps, prisoners are taught to not think of the war of Spaniards versus Portuguese but of a war of unification of brother kingdoms. Actions Taken: A new holiday considered ‘Memorial Day’ is proposed to the government to honor the past and remember all that Spain’s predecessors had done for Spain. This day is to be May 1st. A conservative government is established in office by the vote of the people from the promises of a better Spain and a powerful Iberia. Spain officially joins the Central Powers. (1915-2/2): Reino de España Spanish ministers race across the peninsula as they determine different issues and their resolutions. The mobilization of the Spanish forces have grown to be an expansive effort for the whole country. The conscription of so many tens of thousands of men has caused several industries to look over their production methods. With less men able to work within the factories of Spain, factory managers and owners look to stabilize their factory outputs. Spanish men and women are seen waving along those who enlist within the military as they make their ways in small packs to recruitment offices. News surges throughout the country as an all women medical nursing corp is proposed to the Spanish Congress. One quote by Alvaro De Figueroa is cited by many women suffrage groups as saying, “Women are not the pawns of war and should not be the propagators of it, instead, I believe an all women medical corp would allow women to continue their jobs as natural born mothers to help relieve men in the wounds that they may occur in any military movement. Their position is that of the caretaker, determined by God himself. We should accept their natural talents to soothe men’s souls and let them help our brave soldiers.” The Spanish National Anthem sounds as men are given their unit orders after they graduate from recruit training and their specialized military occupational schooling. Thousands of men graduate every week from their schooling in the military and are sent to their different units. New information seen from the battlefields of Europe are integrated into the military as officers and senior enlisted are drilled to use these new techniques. Mock battles are practiced in the Western Sahara colony with the Army Groups rotating as each officer and enlisted is guided on how modern war is enacted. Actions Taken: The Spanish Congress is proposed by Alvaro De Figueroa, the Prime Minister, on allowing women to serve in medical roles for the military. The generally liberal leaning party would also attempt to open this up in the future to allow women equal rights in voting. Ideas seen from the battlefields on implementation of equipment, the benefits of offense and defense, and movement of troops is incorporated into battle doctrines. For now it is up to the officers to learn how to use it. The entire military is doing mock battle drills with training in Spain and the Western Sahara region to flesh out the general failings of the military and work on improving the efficiency of the army. Spain redacts old laws persecuting everyone but muslims wishing for those who are fleeing the Great War to come seek homes in Spain.

(1915-1/2): Reino de España Spaniards wave flags all across the country, conscription of the army has been declared unanimously by the government, Spain is mobilizing. The neutral country builds a protective shell of troops against possible military actions by her neighbors. Alfonso XIII declares in a congressional meeting, “No foreign army shall ever conquer Spain! Men serve your country and join me! Protect Iberia!” Many Spanish soldiers are seen exchanging their issued standard uniform of red trousers and blue dress coat for a newly designed brown drab uniform. This command comes from the internal military council determining the resource fluctuation that would occur with importing dyes and materials not made in Spain. The blue dress uniform as it is called, is declared to be in use during formal events and is not authorized to be used in combat. “Your Majesty, it would take time to provide this new uniform to the military,” spoke General Hijuero. Alfonso stroked his shaved chin, “Yes, but we have also neglected the army for several decades, the issue of exchanging this uniform should be no issue,” replied the king. Nodding respectively, the general continued, “This is true my King, but how are we to gain the uniforms to cloth every man? If we are to establish a million man army, how are we to effectively cloth each man?” “Is the history of industry not that of the textile manufacturer? The ability to cloth every man should be no issue, as men are trained, they should receive their equipment. General, to conscript does not mean 1 million men will suddenly be in the military and to this, each man will be equipped as they enter and finish training. We are not reinventing the wheel, we are only having it mass produced. We have the industry, submit the papers and the men will have what they need.” Actions Taken: Conscription of the army, increasing the military to 1 million men by the by January 1916. (Mobilization) Blue Dress Uniform is written into the military codex of rules and regulations to not be fit for combat and is exchanged for a new ‘Service’ uniform consisting of brown clothing that is mass produced in Spain. (1914-2/2): Reino de España Spanish observers watch from distant fields the chaos that occurs during the first few months of invasions across Europe. Spain had talks with England and had initially denied joining in on the war on either side due to being ill prepared for the combat. These observers confirmed the decision. Thousands of French were dead across their own lands, Belgium had been invaded and occupied in only a few weeks and now the Balkans were a mess with tens of thousands captured or dead across Entente and Central Power sides. With periscopes Spanish reporters document the incidences of massive carnage unlike what has ever been seen. Alfonso, nor Congress, have decided to censor these reporters gaining recounts from the battlefields. Generals across the board in Spain request for a larger land based military, petitioning for an increase of 100,000 more men to be added to the military by the end of 1915. Booms of artillery are heard across Western Sahara, the military is restructuring its army into functional modular units encompassing multiple weapon elements and practicing with the new weapons delivered by Britain. The 1st Army is founded consisting of Army Corp Poder de España (23040) and Army Corp Escudo de España (23040). The Lee Enfield rifle is declared the standard infantry rifle of the military. Spanish contractors are asked to produce the weapon to the exact format as the law allows copy cat designs to be made when the manufacturer does not produce the item in the nation. A newly promoted lieutenant is asked to speak at the Congress as a personal report of his view of the military. Some medals glean his chest from won conflicts in the Sahara region. He coughs before speaking to the crowd of skeptics. “I was asked not by the people of Congress but by our king to speak my mind on the military.” Alfonso would stop focusing on his wife and begins to listen. “Through his reform of the officer corp, I, a commissioned officer from originally the ranks of the NCO, was able to implement the ideas I had seen in my enlisted career in my officer one. My men now eat better for one as I put them before myself, an issue before with many of our removed officers…” The officer continues on his speech glorifying Alfonso’s incite on the issues he corrected in the military. An open letter is sent to Germany and Britain, asking if either is able to provide goods or items to sway Spain into joining their ally groups. “To the great leaders of (Britain/Germany), Spain opens it’s harbors and hands to your country. An alliance during these times are sought between Spain and the powers of Europe. (1913-2/2): Reino de España Talks arise as the different Spanish political parties begin to arrive into the Congressional Chambers. The focus of the morning bill being the development of the Spanish industrial sector. The bill titled “Spanish Internal Industrial Expansion and Production” is debated over by the politicians in muttered tones as the session comes to order. The first person to speak to the congressional gathering is King Alfonso, he eyes the crowd before beginning his speech. “Wealth!” he shouts suddenly. “Work!” he repeats in a shouting tone. “As a collective whole we have debated the economy for many years, but it is during this time we have a budget to expand an industrial economy. The other nations produce ships years beyond ours, they produce guns years beyond ours, they produce wealth beyond ours! To this I say this will change. The difference between Espana and Europe is not from our lack of drive in the Spaniard but the lack of motivation for the government to reinvest in her people. To the far north Britain has conquered Asia by being the first to expand their industry, to the north east Germany expands their navy to destroy all who threaten Europe, to the south France has claimed almost a third of Africa, and to the far east Japan ignites a flame unlocked by the Americans to conquer all their rivals. If we do not expand our industry we are doomed to fall to our neighbors, be it through peaceful strangulation or a great bloody war. You all have drawn up your own ideals of this bill. Now let it be passed or failed.” The king steps down from the stand, he would exit the room, allowing the peasants who believe they hold power to decide if they help their own countrymen or not. Why is golemancy referenced when almost every golem is made using thanium not soul bound cores? This seems like it should be a creed to not use soul bound golems not for a god to think someone WILL use it. "Even with the magics of golemancy and runesmithing, a paladin is unable to learn. The reasoning for such is the acts of golemancy for example can use the soul of a descendant for its art which is seen as horrid to the Aengul and the art of runesmithing is using another deity’s power for its own devices not suitable for the Aengul of Order and Guardianship." As the only dwarf in either dwarf nation to actively use holy magic. I would rather end holy magic then give up golemancy. Very few characters use soul bound golems as it is universally seen as a horrible thing. I disagree with golemancy being a blocked magic as it is craft beyond any sort of other magics. Runesmithing I understand as you are connected to another Aengul, but if golemancy is blocked, you will again see no holy magic users (Beyond maybe one random Irongut ascended) in the dwarven playerbase.
