Air evocation is more of a support magic then directly offensive, and is weakened if fighting in an area where there's nothing to throw people against (So if fighting in a street he can throw you against a wall to jolt you, but if it's in a big open plain there's nothing to throw you against) Strength(s): Can throw people off their feet with Air evocation (even if they are armoured) with relative ease, air orbs pack a significant punch. Both dead Siblings: None Children: None Extended Family: Considers close friends like family Pet(s): None History To keep it short - Young lad sets out from home at 19 with a thirst for knowledge and adventure. After a (not so) brief tangle with a criminal gang, the hatters, he ends up as a pathfinder for the Arcane Delvers. He's quite happy with this lifestyle, living in Ac'talareh, going on Delves. Eventually, being surrounded by mages, he starts teaching himself the magic of air evocation. Jonathan sees four different Delver leaders in his time - Polgrath (briefly), Artimec, Nienna and then 'the council' (the latter containing himself). He becomes a regent and for some time all is well. Personal failures, mounting work load and relationship problems pile up on Jonathan in his new position of Regent in a guild without a guildmaster. He leaves civilization as a whole for some time for some peace, quite and meditation in the abandoned orcish desert (where he spent some of his training studying wind). When he returns, the Delvers have crumbled. In the fringe, he is rather at a loss of what to do with himself. After briefly trying out the life of a scribe to an Oren Noble house (which he rather disliked), he began to attempt to reform the Delvers in a new image - The Arcane Vigil. Tieing this new and yet at the same time old guild with the Raine Academy, where he some times lectures, he now essentially leads the Vigil. To where, is anyones guess. ((That was a very brief and glossed over history. I may consider creating a more indepth and actually decent piece of writing later :P ))

~~Arcane Vigil notice~~ Notice to all current Vigils and aspiring Vigils! The Arcane Vigil has, regrettably been plagued with inactivity since the Fringe. But that ends now! This new world is quite literally teeming with adventures waiting to be had, knowledge to be recovered and memories to be forged. This organization will be undergoing some changes and developments in the weeks to come, during which time applications will not be accepted. For this, I can only apologies and ask for patience. However it should be noted that the Arcane Vigil will be strongly linked with our new brothers and sisters in Raine Academy. Any aspiring Vigil's should instead apply for the Raine Academy, where you might learn skills that will later prove useful as a Vigil. The new world of opportunity beckons, Vigils. We will seize it. Jonathan lets out a tired grunt as he eases himself into his chair, looking at the small pile of applications. "Right then" he mutters as he starts reading through them. Upon finishing reading, he would write and send out responses to each individual applicant. A fresh and energetic messanger raven drops a letter addressed to Nessa Drakon. It bears the sigil of the Arcane Vigil! A slightly tired looking messanger raven drops a letter addressed to Yulna Delario. It bears the sigil of the Arcane Vigil! Jonathan scans over the application as it finds its way to his desk. He raises his eyebrows in particular amusement when he notes the instance of being a mageshadow. Reaching for his quill, he quickly pens a response and sends it off via bird to the man Well Mr Shale, you've certainly perked my interest, however unorthodox your application might be. The note finds its way to Jonathan, whom wastes no time in penning and sending off a response. Dear Hera, We never had the pleasure of meeting, but it warms me to hear from an old delver none the less. Your suggestions rings true, and we do indeed plan to leave the name of Arcane Delvers behind. We are yet to settle on a definite name but suggestions are being made and I suspect we will settle on one before long. That said however, I would like for the groups aims and what not to, for the most part, remain true to the original vision of Polgrath. That is, a tight knit informal brotherhood of mages, warriors, rangers all united by the pursuit for knowledge and adventure. I thank you for your wise words and hope that you decide to once again assist in the foundation of this new group of 'delvers'. J.Elers
