Frederick Aurelian would hurriedly pack a bindle with a select amount of weapons and hunting gear, with enough food to last a month, a wide assortment of liquor and his prize possession the ICON OF EXALTED OWYN. He would wrap the bindle tightly and ensure that he had sufficient minas in his pouch before running out of Castle Aurelian and straight for Winburghs marketplace in search of a horse. With his leave, a note would also be left on the castle throne.

To my son Richard,

You must now be aware of today’s events but I wish for you to hear it from me. Today I had rallied a group of our most loyal bannerman, unaware initially until it was too late that the actions I committed today would be treason. To kill the bloody cripple and the two degenerates that assist him. This was my only option to stop the cripple from proceeding with his incompetence.

I apologize for doing this all during your travels, taking the men who risked their lives on a cause that could lead to their death. But we were successful, the cripple was killed and his aides' necks were cut open. But my actions have led me to this current event of announcing my leave. I soon will be banished, either by your hand or by the next Protector of Aaun. Nonetheless, I am not a simple man to be killed. If the Acreans were unable to kill me, neither would the Alstions.

But use this letter I write to you, to prove your innocence;

I am the reason behind Edmund the Cripple and Heinrich Lothar's death. I had never informed you of such actions to keep you from any trouble to come, but I wish to make this letter to ensure that others know. This was not my initial attempt on the bloody fool's life. It seemed the failed attempt in which the hired assassins were unable to kill him as he fell off the pit was money not well spent. But once again, I had not informed you of my plans during that assassination attempt. Neither did I order Baldrick to assault the king but out of sheer coincidence, that had worked out in our advantage. 

I had recognized that paying assassins would not result in the cripples death, in which I took it into my own hands and rallied men without any knowledge to commit an action to end a tyranny that is needed.

The cripple fell.

I am sorry, Richard for my actions but I hope that Aaun may strive with three less degenerates.

To all those in anger of my actions.

Frederick Aurelian would tuck the Icon of Exalted Owyn deep into his satchel as he went to place his belongings on top of the horse he had bought in Winburgh. He would climb its stirrups, with a slight grin on his face. He looks to the nearest group of people before saying;

“ Want to hear a joke? ”

“ I once thought a Cripple and a Ginger could run a kingdom but… ”

His newly bought horse would suddenly rear its front legs, causing him to almost fall off. He would quickly regain balance, before the horse would rush into a gallop. The joke never finished…

TO THE GOOD FOLK OF THE HEARTLANDS,

In spite of the efforts of those who forged the Heartland Accords, it seems the Heartlands have yet again been plunged into turmoil. Despite the weakness which plagued their armies and  which ails their cities, the moves of the Petran Crown against those who were once considered their allies have only grown bolder since leaving our binding alliance. Just earlier this Saint’s Day, three of the men of Stassion ventured into the Petran Capital city of Vallagne, presumably to see what festivities the otherwise lifeless capital might have to offer. Despite having opened the gates of Vallagne to allow the men of Stassion passage into the city, a group of Petran Knights apprehended the party shortly thereafter without provocation, violently taking Sir Tristand Dresnay, the Baron of Valcour, for interrogation. Though Sir Tristand answered their various unwarranted questions honestly and truthfully, the knights of Petra were unconvinced of his good intentions and sought to make an example of the man. Those barbarians they call knights first considered taking his head as tribute, but reason prevailed as they recognized the folly of such a bold action without the backing of a competent and well organized army to support their stupidity. Thus did the Knights of Petra settle to instead break the man’s hand, with the intention of sending a message to the March of Stassion. What these actions show is that what they did was;

UNJUSTIFIED. 

This message was received and answered by the men of the March in full. With a swift response, the March sent out scouts, in search of any of the so-called ‘powerful’ nobles of Petra, only to find a member of the von Theonus’ family. The man was unknown to many, seeing as the family breeds faster than rabbits. All the same, the men of Stassion brought the man with the same gesture as the Petrans had allowed Sir Tristan and his men into the city of Petra. While the Theonus lay in our halls, enjoying the liquor drank by the pissants, our guests from Veletz arrived. Sir Gaspard and his party entered the room and questioned the Petran noble’s presence. Upon providing the men with the answers they sought, there was but one remaining question— why does the noble still live. The response—“We waited for an audience”. And with it one less Petran noble lived. What these actions show is what we did was;

TO THE GOOD FOLK OF THE HEARTLANDS,

The unfortunate news of the recent murder of Louis Dresnay, a teenager, a brother, a son, a member of Stassion, a citizen of Aaun. The fact that a teenager entered Haense with no threats, physical nor verbal but as a simple young man to attend the Haense Court with a childish joke as children do. To only be then murdered by the weak-minded King of Haense. The same King who proclaims to be a pious and well-worth King, to slaughter a child in the midst of his barren court and then blame his murder on a possible plot from Heartlanders.

But let it be known, this act of unjust violence will not go unnoticed nor will it be forgotten so easily as it is done within the lands off the Highlanders. Louis was not just a member of Stassion but friends among many within the Heartlands, from our neighbors in Drusco to the city of Winburgh and more. As a teenager would never be a threat to those with proper thinking and common sense. There seems to be a lack of proper thinking and common sense within Haense.

If our hate must stray away from the degenerates of Balian to the child-murderers of Haense, then so be it. Stassion will not stoop to the levels of killing women or children, but understand this clearly, and individuals who defend the Kingdom of Haense let it be through allegiances or through the bearing of their tabards or weapons will face justly revenge.

TO ANY INTERESTED PARTY,

It has come to our attention that not only the Ferryman but many others have voiced their issue on aspects of Orenia and Novellen, and have listed the Kingdom of Aaun in the same standards as off Balian. To have seen the comparison of our own noble estate being placed on the same standing as those who reside in and lead Balian made us recognize the standards in which many have viewed us.
 

Let it be known that Stassion does not claim anything related to Oren and has no intention to follow or create such. Our history may be related to the former Kingdom but the beliefs and the culture that  are connected to such an entity are not something that Stassion will even consider to entertain. We shall not stoop to the levels of the degenerate leaders of Balian to contest for Orenia nor do we wish to claim to be called Novellen, knowing that we can be considered to have any relation to such pigs. 

THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN:

   I  — We do formally announce, as the mainline of the House of Novellen, that from this day henceforth the name shall be defunct and destroyed. Just as our ancestors of the House of Horen before us once did, we now lay the name to rest, to be confined to the pages of history. 

  II  — We do formally announce that, although our household is derived from the House of Novellen, we will be recognized as The House of Stassion. Like the Novellens before us, we too shall take the name of our ancestral palace, Stassion, from which our household originates. While we will accept that our ancestors were of the House of Novellen, we do hereby promulgate that generation of Frederick Aurelian and onward will bear the name of Stassion.

  III  — We do formally announce that any who wish to continue to claim the name of Novellen, such as Adrian ‘the Weak’, shall be seen as nothing more than pretenders. We do hereby denounce any claim to the name Novellen and will regard any who attempt to do so as pigs worthy of the slaughter. We further announce that we will also join with those who believe that repercussions are necessary.
 

To a personal message to Adrian ‘the Weak’ and any of those who wish to follow, claim what you wish. Stay in your keep with the guards which you count on but a single hand. If you wish to continue to insult us as you have done countless times. If that is the route you wish to take, let it be known. Stassion will be coming.

TO THE CANONISTS OF AEVOS,

Through are peaceful times in these lands so far, a horrid news has struck us which many are aware of already. But with it, action must be taken. The news of Father Stanislaw’s kidnapping and defiling his GOD given body. Father Stanislaw, being a local Priest who gave blessed sermons to our denizens will never be forgotten as with it he has made us more pious, a debt that can never be repaid in our lifetime. He is, to this moment, being tortured by cruel heathens. 

I call for any able-bodied warriors to rally with us, to begin the conquest on the annihilation for all those heathens and daemons that have sided in the aid and capture of Father Stanislaw and the torture that has been committed on him. I vow to ensure that when these devils are caught or killed, that they are ensured the lowest pits of the Void so their suffering will continue.

Our lands will be willing to house and begin preparations for this conquest of annihilation and we invite all those who wish to stand with us, in the rescue of Father Stanislaw to join with us in these times to prepare for a war. As we may face many battles, and many more to come, canonist lives will always need to be protected.

What focus-area of the Moderation Team interests you the most?

Conflict Moderation & Server Moderation

Why have you decided to apply for the Moderation Team?

I was part off the Moderation team years ago, and even though I have had my ups and downs throughout the years on many occassions after my time on the team. I do believe that now after several long years of people experiencing my worst at times and also some better times that I have matured from those years to be more dedicated to help the server. I have played LOTC for 7 years and I wish to help the community once again. I have been part of the server for an extremely long time to also know and understand the players and communities and wish to work with them in ensuring they have a smooth time on the server.

There have been hiccups throughout my years, but I truly believe that I am more mature than I was years ago and wish to use my efforts in helping the community through being a Moderator once again.

What can you offer to the team?

Throughout my seven years on LOTC, I have gained a lot of insight and knowledge that I believe to be quite useful. With 1.8 being brought back to the server, I believe to be quite confident to assist in Conflict moderation as I used to when I was on the Moderation team before. I believe that through my years of partaking in many aspects of conflict, I am able to understand several issues that can arise in conflict events like skirmishes, raids and warclaims which moderation team deal on a continuous occurrence. I believe that with my years of experience I will be able to assist the team and the players involved in the conflict to find always a suitable solution while ensuring the rules are followed, and to promote a non-toxic environment for both parties as a focus.

I also personally believe that since I am an older player that I have gained an understanding off being able to communicate with many of the leaders who lead such conflicts commonly and would be able to assist both sides on a non-biased way. Many can also confirm since the return of 1.8 that I truly do not partake unless on a joking side which both sides have no real harm to it, and I personally believe that I would not take bias between sides in a conflict and focus on ensuring the rules and a common agreement are always the priority.

In terms of Server Moderation, I believe I can assist in being a great insight in rule changers or suggestions as I have been on the server for 7 years, I have recognized what rules are quite effective and what rules that were suggested years ago are no longer for a reason, and should not be brought back. Furthermore, even though it has been years I am confident that I will be able to efficiently do moderation tickets for players and ensure for a smoother time on the server.

If you were the Mod Admin, what would you change about the server?

If I was Mod Admin, I would reinstate Villainy Blacklists. I do believe there is a strong community of players who enjoy banditry and villainy, which I wholeheartedly support as long as there is clear and efficient roleplay rather than a Minas or Die roleplay, or they attain the minas and still kill the player with little to no RP reasoning. I believe ensuring a Villainy Blacklist will possibly reduce modreqs in terms in engagements in Villainy roleplay as players will be encouraged to have more sufficient and proper roleplay.

I am in support of Villainy being a great part of LOTC and it does make it truly immersive, and I wish to support groups who wish to engage in such but would also want to ensure that it is being done correctly than rather just being a three emote Roleplay session.
