If there are going to be any racial buffs in the future, they should be more minor and non-combat related. Like having halflings get more crops from farming, having High Elves be better at magic, having Dwarves be slightly better at mining, etc. Racial buffs should be small little bit's of flavor added into a race instead of the much more important racial buffs we have today.
