  2. “Gooder see t’a Sheriff keep in’ folks safe” remarks Filibert Applefoot, puffing a pipe as he sits on a bench
  3. I’d rather have had my side lose but been able to actually get on the war server and fight than have the entire thing flop like it has today. At least if my side lost in a non-crashed war server somebody would’ve been winning instead of the entire server taking a massive L, having all their time investment be for nothing, and being reminded not to get their hopes too high for future projects.
  4. Will the war zone plugin be the new standard for all field battles from now onwards?
  5. oh boy it's been postponed

  6. somehow I find this even more embarrassing than the Norland warclaim failures.

  7. Why don't we just bring people in waves instead of having some people be unable to attend as the contingency plan

  8. Filibert Applefoot proudly stands guard at the Urguani gates as the bigger warrior folks head out to rescue the boy! "We'll keep yew all safe, nay worries! Dem warrior folks will beh back soon, oi'm sure! Den weh can go back ter drinkin'!" He clutches his shovel a bit tighter, hoping that it wouldn't be long before he'd be back home in Honeyhill.
  9. maybe the truce should've been extended through new years tbh

  12. [!] A poem is pinned to the Honeyhill Noticeboard "O' my love, fair and true, From these lands to the waters blue, Come kiss me by my burrow Atop the hill on by the river Carved into stone, eternal Let us prance in the meadows And eat berries in the woods And make a thousand stories that I Can write into my journal And if our love is to be denied, Let us both die And our bodies to be buried Where what was wild now is tamed Where stony tunnels cut through the terrain And spring blooms o' so vernal.
  13. Pros: -jumper events -ever wanted to emote ploughing a field? -cool hats and shovels -interesting burrows -doors aren’t locked so you can explore said burrows Cons: -won’t find people in the middle of the night/early morning -that biggun who lives in the barn might be underpaid a little -it’s harder to find otterbowl heads than it used to be Halflings are a 10/10 race as long as you prefer events and Roleplay with smaller groups instead of 20-30 rally weddings and feasts like what you get in the cities.

      okay but i won

  18. Yeah, I guess you're right. It does feel weird to have this war be a bunch of 12v10 fights every few days on the roads over some tiles that won't really matter at all besides flex and forum karma. This intensity of fighting was what would happen without any war declared at all back in earlier LOTC. Creative forces are held back by staff because once something gets built anywhere on Almaris, it's not ever gonna get destroyed in roleplay. Destructive forces are also held back because if something gets destroyed, it's incredibly difficult to rebuild the community again. It's the rabbit hole we've fallen too far into that forces everything into a long-term status quo that can't get disrupted. The recent war rule changes have slightly pushed out of that hole, but it'll take a lot more before the server can be considered truly dynamic. I hope that LOTC gets a map that'll look dramatically different towards its end relative to its beginning before I grow tired of the server and move onto other things in life.
  19. An old recording that I just recently decided to upload to Youtube. This one's a true gem.

  23. I could make a third video but that'd just be me and my team getting rolled for 15 minutes as more and more players dip out of the beta server and go back to main.
