  1. Multiple Kortrevich descendants of yore look down at their House. Oh how many a foes they've seen crumble before them, and how many brotherhoods end in bloodshed. No matter, the Iron will of Kortrevich was a story that stood a quarter of a millennia, and is one that will stand for many quarters more. . . Erik was a man of nature, and yet suffered through his very own wild and untamed nature. Still, in the fires of hell, he suffers the consequences of his actions with no regret, for he had lived the free life he had always wanted in that distant cold forest. . . A Red Bull shown on the back of a man who lived through hell his mortal life, and reclaimed his stripped honor in a poetic sacrifice yet a fitting one. He who's name was stolen from him, claimed it in death. For a bull never changes, and will always have it's horns. . . Igor made it clear that he would not be defined by the circumstances of his birth, but the actions of his life until death. He wore his bastard name as a badge of honor, even refusing a legitimization, for he had not lived his life as a Kortrevich but as an individual. Yet even still, the farmer's son had pride for his line and showed strength in areas he could. Leonid had never been a traditional fighter. The young boy had a poetic nature to him, much like his father. But in the end, no book can keep a Bull shackled for long. He looked at his cousin, who he had been raised with like a sister, and looked on with pride as the spirit of the bull lived on. A beautiful tale, spanning generations, a beautiful tale that had to be told. . . One ponders who may be able to tell such a story.
  2. A grumpy fisherman grumbles as he read the missive "This is unfair! He gets to retire fishing whilst I'm forbidden to fish whilst on temporary leave???" Timofei pointed to Marian in an accusatory fashion "This - is your fault" @CasChaos
  3. "Woah, that was fast" said a fish obsessed politician after just voting for this in Duma
  4. A boy quickly told his peers what he had witnessed in the clinic on that dreadful night "It's true! I saw Bishop Stanislaw hover his hand over Ryba's legs, and after a prayer, his legs twisted and re-aligned itself! It looked like it hurt... but Ryba walks to this day!" Leonid told to some of his friends who were not there, particularly his closest friends Alfred, Aurelia, and Heinrik. @Gandhi@Smol@critter
  5. After the festive gala had finally concluded and Leonid was able to rid himself of his thin costume, he came home to a sense of dread and devastation. Something was not right in the House of Kortrevich. It was only when his cousin, whom he found in tears, informed him that their uncle had left, never to return. For once, the boy did not cry at a loss. Not immediately any ways. "This isn't permanent" the teen thought to himself. But as the days continued on and on, it became evident that Aleksandr was not going to return. What hurt him most wasn't the fact that they left on sour terms, cursing each other, nor was it the fact that he'd never see him again. It's that Aleksandr left without saying goodbye to anyone in person, and that was what caused Leo's eyes to tear up.
  6. A COLD NIGHT A Poem by L.M.A.K. In honor of those who fell or survived… [!] The City of Valdev during the terrible freeze on the 12th of Snow’s Maiden, 496 E.S. — It was a quiet morning, one peaceful morning... It was cold - a forewarning. — The children played, the men and women bickered... No one could predict the winds that would turn out so - so bitter… — First it was the winds, and then it was the blasting horns... The sound was deafening - a frightening hymn. Then the soldiers started shouting for everyone to get to someplace warm... — The snow blew fierce and the frost grew nearer... Even the bravest of men showed an ounce of fear. After all, we all want to protect those who we held most dear... — As people scattered to find a fire, some amongst us fought in every way, even when their position grew more and more dire… — Those lucky enough to find shelter would survive, for now... While those who met their end, we hold our heads down in a bow... — But fret not, brave reader. For this was not the end of our story. Sometimes it takes death to realize the real and true glory. — Our life is hailed as a miracle when we are born. When we live that life we do so dutifully, we are sworn… — And soon the time comes when death invites us to come forth. But we Haeseni will never bend down - No! For that is not the spirit of our people. — That is not the way of the North… — [!] All who received the poem would notice that tied to it was a beautiful blue orchid. A flower that serves as a symbol of spirituality and peace.
  7. As Leonid returned to his room in the now quiet Kortrevich Manor, he noticed a poem left by his door. He was not particularly close with his cousin, Elena, but he was surprised nonetheless at the girls aptitude for poetry just as he had. Maybe, just maybe he thought, that he too will step up as a mentor and an elder cousin. @CopOwl
  8. Wrapped tightly in a warm wool blanket by the fireplace in their cozy tavern room, Leonid wept for hours upon hours as he held his lizard-like pet Ignis close to him, as well as the turtle plush his beloved Auntie Ileana had given him. This was, truly, the first loss he had ever experienced in his young life. The late Baroness and former Countess had served to be an inspiration to him as well as a role model to what a true Haeseni woman should be. "For vy, and for Irena, I'll always do my duty... Rest in Peace, Aedymamej..." And at the gates of the seven skies, a man who Ileana had never seen before welcomed her with a warm smile and a firm handshake. He was old, scarred, and yet was whole and in peace. The man wore armor of a Knight, with a red bull painted on his back. The old warrior from House Kortrevich leaned in to quietly whisper to Ileana, saying "I have watched countless bulls throughout their lifetimes since my death. In you I saw a fire that dwindled before your birth instantly light up again... A constitution that even I wish I had in my prime... You are what it truly means to be a bull, and you have earned a warriors rest."
  9. Leonid, in the comfort of his own tavern home, felt content that he was most like Eunica and fully plans on purchasing the doll in secret or to coerce his parents into emptying their pockets... @critter@28idle
  10. Leonid prepares his best jammies for the sleepover!
  11. Leonid grabbed Marian's arms and looked at both hands. With a serious expression drawn on his face, he shouted "WHERE IS THE RING? WHEN WILL YOU BE ENGAGED???!" @CasChaos
  12. who? (jk she's the best ever) P.S. I'm not being held at gun point
  13. Leonid Marco d'Arkent-Kortrevich, the young aspiring playwright and author, listens to the quaint tune describing his generation. Leo, ever the ambitions one, would consider the scribe Grisel Balfour heavily for his future works of art.
  14. Timofei waved his hand across his face and said "You can't see me" and then promptly exits, most likely very much under the spell of cactus green...
  15. Timofei Petrovich, The Grand Alderman and Master of The Pantry, had seen this coming years in advance and thinks anyone who believed this was anything new should really keep up else they get left in the dark... "If history truly does tend to repeat itself, the Bulls of Koravia will only rise from the mud as stronger beasts, and the new herd shall lead the effort forth."
  16. Leonid smiled as he read the missive! The boy knew enough to know that his beloved Aunt was defending the honor of the house! "Go, Aedymamej, Go!"
  17. From the seven skies a rotund and jolly Robert I would grin widely with his son Johann @Raijen Stars. He could not help but be happy as his legacy continued long after his sacrifice at Kazstadt. He thought to himself proudly about how they're doing their part. Will they do theirs?
  18. Leonid Kortreivch releases an official statement on the most recent Amador / Kortrevich scandal... "As you know, in a deposition in recent times I was asked questions about my relationship with Lady Aurelia @Smol. While my answers were legally accurate, I did not volunteer information. Indeed, I did have a relationship with Lady Aurelia that was not appropriate. And in fact, it was wrong. It constituted a critical lapse in judgement and a personal failure in my part for which I am solely, and completely, responsible. But I confessed to Godan today, and I say to you now, that at no time did I ask anyone to lie, to hide or destroy evidence, or to take any other unlawful actions. I know that my public comments and my silence in this matter gave a false impression. I mislead people. Including, even my dear friend Ricky @critter. I deeply regret that... I can only tell you that I was motivated by a number of factors. First, by a desire to protect myself from the embarrassment of my own conduct. I was also very concerned about protecting my family name. The fact that I could have lost my dear friend Ricky was a consideration too. In addition, I had real and serious concerns about a Hoonse investigation... This has gone on too long and cost too much and hurt too many... Now this matter lies betwen me, my friend Ricky, Lady Aurelia, and Godan. I must put it right, and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to do so. Nothing means more to me personally. But it is, private. It's nobodies business but ours." - Leonid
  19. In the backends of Haense, some fisherman dude looks to buy AS MUCH Godly Dope that he could possibly afford, further fueling his addiction to the green.
  20. A Kortrevich munchkin came BOLTING towards his father, yelling across the street as he spotted him and SHOUTING "PAPEJ! PAPEJ! PAPEJ! CAN I BE A WARD PLEASE? PLEASE? PLEEEEEEEEASE?????!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!" It was clear that Leo would never stop bugging his father on this particular topic until he received the answer he wanted. @critter
  21. Timofei would receive the grim news of his fellow chef, chess rival, and dearest friend's demise. He would say it was too soon, but even he understood that it was time for Fable to go. He would be sad, for a moment, but then relish in the fact that his friend lived a rich and long life. For most of his young life he had progressed rather quickly. From starting a business at twenty-seven to becoming a political leader the very next year, the fisherman had rose further than anyone would have expected him to. "For you and for the love of food, I will feed the people of Haense. It was an honor to work with vy, Fable."
  22. Somewhere a young boy would be told the news from his father upon hearing a teacup hit the floor! With a previous point proven to him, he took the personal victory knowing that he was right about his friend's father being a Kortrevich… In another place, a fisherman would wonder how this would affect the People’s Duma’s legacy…
  23. Timmy looks to pick his fishing business back up and expand to the untapped markets of Urguan!
  24. A young Kortrevich toddler would go to pull on his big sister's hair to cause her much despair. However, Leo did such with a very, very adorable smile, so who really could be mad at him?
