A father wandered aimlessly in his little garden that was ever so tranquil. Within the field of varied flora, his eyes locked on to a red rose. Then, came a smile from the man as his gaze shifted to the warm cloudy skies. Love was present. But more than love, perseverance and maturity had been the main themes of their tale. Beyond all odds, the 'Drima' had finally been achieved. At long last, he would see his legacy continue on. The legacy that he and his kin had fought to preserve through nearly forty years. He was old, that was for certain. But despite his age this new era of his family ignited a flame of youthful vigor and ambition. Besides, how fortunate it is for a father to experience the matrimony of his pride and joy. His children.

I've gotten a little bit of inspiration after reading @Xarklymost recent PK post (beautifully written btw, check it out here!). It really got me thinking though. I regret not writing a PK post for one of my favorites, and more than likely, my most well-written persona Leonid. But it's been MONTHS since I PK'd him (to be exact, I PK'd him on May 25th, 2024. Really its closer to a year). As a player I don't think it'd get much traction since most of that persona's friends and even students have since passed on. But as a writer, I can't help but scratch that itch that's been bothering me since I stopped dedicating time to writing. If this were a matter of few weeks, then I wouldn't really be having this issue. But I've been putting this off for almost nine months! So, I ask this to everyone. Is it worth writing a late PK post?

The Duke of Alban knelt before his telescope, prayed to his mother and St. Joren, before reveling in the majesty of the stars. Often times he came looking for wisdom from the stars, as if they spoke to him somehow. This time, the Prince thought if he was ready. If now truly was the time... Then, as it seemed there was no answer in sight, he saw something familiar in the night sky…

A father looked fondly at that room his son has stayed in his entire life. Lavish silken sheets, childhood belongings, and a hall lit with candles every day. The work he and his family truly did pay off, and now his son will inherit their shared legacy. "Where did the time go?" he thought to himself as he looked into the mirror. His tar-like hair had been lightened through decades of personal stress and physical ailments. Despite his own shortcomings in the latter half of his life, one thing a father could always be proud of is his children.

Guests are encouraged to fashion a mask in the color of their birth sign (per the genius Zodiakal written by our daughter) designed to honor Lady Erika and her admiration for the stars. Though as a fair warning, the Count and Countess do explicitly rule that no offers of courtship or betrothals shall be accepted in regards to our darling Erika, for that is a determination she will make on her own. Per the previously mentioned Zodiakal, a team melee shall be hosted in the Bull Pits of Emsgrad. There, participants shall pair into teams of two. However, there is a catch: both members of the team absolutely must share the same or have aligning birth signs. All three, in their own way, represent what it truly means to be a Koravian and hold the characteristics of not just a Kortrevich, but a Bull in itself. Here, all guests are welcome to give the three siblings gifts and warm wishes of good health. All young ladies attending the event are welcome to wear flower crowns or dawn elements of flowers on their attire, however it is important to note that none but the Lord Heir to Jerovitz shall wear a wreath atop their head made of Primroses, per our traditions. ⋅ ───────────────⊱༺⠀II⠀༻⊰─────────────── ⋅ His Lordship, Markus Leonid Fabian Kortrevich In honour of our astute and scholarly son Lord Markus, who often spends his days studying the rich nature, herbs, and fauna of Haense, the next event shall be a two round trivia where participants have the chance to win a prize of 30 minas. Trivia has never seemed so exciting! The first round shall include eight quick fire questions, which will be relatively easy but fast. If none answer the question in thirty seconds, the question is automatically skipped. Half points will be awarded to those who get the CLOSEST answer. If only one participant wins all of the points, they win the entire trivia. All who gain at least one point in the first round will be eligible to compete in the final which shall include one question with three possible answers. The one who answers the fastest AND the most accurate answer shall be crowned the winner. ⋅ ───────────────⊱༺⠀III⠀༻⊰─────────────── ⋅ His Lordship, Andrei Otto Kortrevich, Lord Heir of Jerovitz Finally, in honour of our Lord Heir and the future Count of Jerovitz, Lord Andrei, a tournament of bare-knuckle fist fighting shall occur. The mightiest warriors across the lands are invited to prove their strength to the House of Kortrevich. Fighters will be randomly selected into even brackets and shall face one another until one victor is crowned as “the Bull Champion” and earns his or her purse of 50 mina. Following the end of the tournament, all remaining guests are invited to the Grand Hall of Emsgrad, where the Count and Countess shall bestow upon their children gifts and tokens symbolizing their character. In the high tower of Kastell Lesanov, a family weeps in the Royal Chambers... For the last few days, Joren had spent countless nights restless, with his father's condition weighing heavily in his mind. The boy looked to the star filled night and prayed. Despite usually finding an answer within himself, this time he could not seem to find it. "This is strange" he thought. A boy who tried everything but could do nothing sat on the ground... The stars did not align quite well today, or perhaps it was just the lack of sleep. His mind was filled with countless thoughts. Slesvik, stars, and... other things. It was a lot of weight that he had to bear, but he could not stray from his path. Not for one second. The circlet rattled as it hit the floor, akin to a cymbal's timbre... "I should go speak to him today" he thought to himself upon rising from the observatories floor. It seemed like he was able to get some sleep today. As the Prince took the long journey down the spiral steps, he noticed his sister laying by his father's bedside. He'd never been inside before. A son without a mother or father, no parents to be found... The first impression did not meet his expectations. For a King who gorged himself on luxurious food and drink, the room he slumbered was large, yet empty. "Symbolic" he thought.
