  1. ((Thank ye kindly! So glad to hear it – my first go at trying to put something out there the community can use. We could always collaborate? 😄 ))
  2. This whole system, completely open to subjective interpretation, doesn’t work. Get rid of it. Try again. Start something better, but for godsakes get something that’s fair and doesn’t throw players or staff under the bus. Geebus, people. Seriously. You area creating your own problems here. Time to find a solution that works.
  3. [!] There is a notice bearing a red wolf crest posted on every accessible bulletin board. Below it is hammered a small spike, and a leather-bound book is tethered to it with cord. Penned in neat calligraphy, it reads: ~~ To all Buyers & Traders! ~~ My name is Honour Rackham. I am the Captain of the Howl of the North, and my crew deals exclusively in the supply and demand of goods across the whole of Arcas. We have created a trading report to show savvy buyers where the best bargains are, and we are committing to update these logs on the regular. [!] The book includes the following information: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rO2JInGU1pn8lmQ8vD6mDrlD0B9Dcz_dojCIXEA-1KM/edit?usp=sharing Buyer Beware! If you find yourself talking with an Uruk called Tulga, give this one a miss. He likes to sell information you already know, even when you ask beforehand, it-isn’t-this-right? He’ll play it off on very particular wording, so he didn’t “lie...” (... but he knew exactly what you meant). A few have shared stories about someone matching his physique, saying he talks to the newly arrived at the Temple, befriends them, then either steals what little precious they have or takes them as slaves. Don’t know if there is truth to it, but more than one soul has mentioned his rather unique description, so I am left wondering and somewhat unsure. Friendly bloke, but is it worth the risk? Fair winds, may Dame Fortune smile on your cups. Honour Rackham Captain, Howl of the North ((OOC: The Trade Report Guidelines)) We will be updating our trading information on the 1st and the 15th of every (real) month. An item must have a quantity available by the dates above to be included. In Stock = 0 will be ignored. If we do not have access to a trade market to verify prices at stalls, the location will not be included on the report. If a location wishes to grant access solely for the purpose of acquiring prices, we will gladly fix this. All have access to view, but only the Howl of the North crew have access to edit. This is to maintain a level of trust in the reporting, and to prevent people from accidentally borking the formulas in the spreadsheet. PS – Nuffin but lurvs, BenDaMack! ❤️❤️❤️
  4. With a flourish and aplomb, Honour Rackham signs this!
  5. **MC Names of all involved** GoldenGRIE **Description** I was asked to rename three items with my VIP perks, of name, colour and description. Before doing this request, I had my full 4 edit tokens (I am Diamond VIP) as well as one rename token from voting milestones. 1. I renamed the first item, which was a Wooden Hoe. I custom edited the name (/edit name <name>) – this functioned fine. 2. I changed the colour to LIGHT_PURPLE (/edit color LIGHT_PURPLE) and the name colour changed but reset back to Wooden Hoe. 3. I renamed again, thinking I had done something odd, using the same command of /edit name <name>. The item switched to the edit name, but the colour was reset back to white. 4. I attempted to reset the colour using the same command, which changed the colour to LIGHT_PURPLE but again reset the name. 5. I attempted a different item, same results. I edited a block of wood using /edit info <description>. This functioned fine. 6. I edited the name using /edit name <name> – This changed properly as well. 7. I edited the colour of the block of wood using /edit color DARK_GREEN, the colour of the item switched but the custom name edit reset. **Date of occurrence** This occurred approximately 11:10pm Brisbane time, Australia, 4/17/2019. This translates to 9:10am EST, Wednesday, 4/17/2019. **In game specifications** IGN: GoldenGRIE, Persona: Honour Rackham **Steps to Reproduce/Expected Behaviour/Actual Behaviour** 1. Select item. 2. Use command /edit name <name> 3. Use command /edit color <red> 4. Check item name – it will be reset. This should not happen. With VIP edit tokens the name, colour and description should all be edited under one token. **Additional Information** I did not sign any of these items. I attempted to fix the problem myself, editing name and colour repeatedly. In the process of doing this, it used all four of my Diamond VIP edit tokens as well as my rename token from voting milestones. I submitted a /modreq, and OverpowerEgirl responded very quickly. They attempted to rename the items for me, and the same thing occurred to them as well. At their request I am submitting a bug report. I have included screenshots of the items I edited, though I do not know if this will help. **Error Message** No error message occurred while this happened. The only confirmation I have is that a Moderator (OverpoweredEGirl) attempted the same thing and it also occurred to them.
  6. “Oy! I know this bloke! Keeps stuffin boats into me pockets... If he’s half as good as hidin things on me person, he’ll be a fine Ok...Ok...yeah that.”
  7. Honour Rackham turns to her First Mate, Valus, and says quietly to him: ”Get the men ready, mate. Time to prove to the sun and sea that the new Howl of the North is worth her salt.” She looks him square in the eye. “Time to show the cut of our jib!”
  8. Absolutely amazing! Such noble, so respect! (No really, his stuff is great. 🙂) - Honour Rackham Merchant Captain, Howl of the North

Just wanted to add, if being a “ship owner” doesn’t work within the rules that’s fine. She could easily have lost her ship to a storm and now will start from scratch. This is a background to a character I created for a D&D game that never saw the light of day (the game never took off). It’d be a great opportunity to breathe life into the character here. 🙂

Character: Honour Marigold Rackham, aka Red the Fierce, Back from the Dead Red – Merchant Captain, Human (F) Background: The only child born to Edgar Rackham, Honour was treated like a son. Because of this, she was taught the adventurous profession of merchant trading along the coasts. It gave her a unique view of the world, and also a rare opportunity to practice a trade most women did not choose. Having been on a boat most of her life, the ways of sailing, navigation and cutthroat haggling are second nature. As a young woman, Honour witnessed a crew staging a mutiny against her father. Edgar did not survive, but she did thanks to the help of a goblin crewman by the name of Slax. This single act of kindness changed her opinion about Goblinkind, and she is known to be one of the few merchant captains to barter with them fairly. Honour now has a solid reputation for delivering cargo, legal or otherwise, through hell or high tide. Her ship, Howl of the North, is small but fast, making her difficult to catch by pirate and port authority alike when she isn’t feeling agreeable. Honour will smuggle, but only if the price is right. She has a reputation to uphold, after all. Edit: I originally picked her to be from Atlas, specifically from Santegia or Rivia, but the server says current location is Arcas? If this is required, her home would be Kingdom of Curonia, as it seems to be a naval-focused province and her background would be appropriate. Also, I found decent information on Orcs, but not much on Goblins, and not much about human/goblin interactions. If this element needs to be changed, easily done, but I could use some advice on how to tailor it properly. Your website is filled with information, and I admit I’m not sure what is accepted canon or works in progress.
