  1. REXDOM-LURAK UPON THE OFFICE OF GOVERNMENT With this DECREE the REX Rue’Lur orders the assembly of a new government. ON THE KLAMOR The KLAMOR, or assembly of the CLANS is called to create a new and stronger bureaucracy from which the URUKS will govern REXDOM-LURAQ. The KLAMOR will exist as both advisors and minor administrators of the kingdom. AUTONOMY will be LIMITED by order of the AUTARCH Daahd’Lur. Each WARGOTH deemed fit to lead their clans will be granted land from which they will siphon income generated. Additionally, vassals not of any particular CLAN will be granted different rights and responsibilities. ALL URUKS are allowed to witness the KLAMOR unless an explicit call for a WARGOTH KLAMOR is made, which will be held privately; these are the exception NOT the rule. The KLAMOR may be called at any time but in times of peace usually only occurs once a year or so. ON THE WAHG IN GOVERNMENT A WAHG, or more simply, war, is a special season for the Uruk. During the time of WAHG all functions of government aside from KLAMOR called for by the REX or AUTARCH are put on hold. While the government will still operate in collecting tithe for payments of debts and treasury, the government will shift into something more akin to a DICTATORSHIP. The codes of KRUG will still be followed as normal but will be enforced more harshly. Descent is not tolerated during WAHG. Descent can be any of the following: Secrecy Disloyalty Disrespect of OFFICE Doomering Any action thats disrupts the WAHG in meaning to harm the Government. During the WAHG season, respect, trust, and faith is placed within the REX and AUTARCH. Whilst fraternization with the enemy is allowed and even encouraged so that combat may be carried out with HONOR betrayal of kin and country is an offense worthy of execution and OSTRACIZATION. ON THE RIGHTS OF WARGOTH The WARGOTH functions as a chief of their tribe and kin; they are expected to be able to raise levies, collect taxes, and participate in the structure of government: The KLAMOR. While the KLAMOR is not a democratic institution the opinions of the KLAMOR are highly valued by the REX and taken into account. Voting may be held by the KLAMOR if given the option by the REX. Some reasons for this are as follows: Votes on War Votes on Ostracization Votes on new WARGOTHS Votes on removal of WARGOTHS Votes on establishing new infrastructure (keeps, prisons, wharves, etc.) WARGOTHS reserve the right to enforce KRUG’S LAW on their territories unless intervened upon by the REX or AUTARCH in matters of importance, but will be left to their own devices unless there is an explicit exception. WARGOTHS reserve the right to enlist soldiers into their LEVY at any time. WAR MATERIAL will only be provided however for training and during times of WAHG, unless petitioned for by the WARGOTH to the REX or AUTRARCH. WARGOTHS act as representatives of their CLAN at large. Actions taken by the WARGOTH are actions taken by the CLAN. This means that victories attributed to the WARGOTH are attributed to the CLAN, but blunders are attributed as well. WARGOTHS do NOT serve as representatives of the REXDOM LURAK. Any action taken by the WARGOTH which cause diplomatic incident will be punished unless those actions were ordered by the REX or AUTARCH. WARGOTHS who fail to meet expectations will be subsequently removed from their station. ON THE RIGHTS OF TARGOTH TARGOTH serves as a military commander of REXDOM-LURAK. While in the past only one TARGOTH served the REX, there is now a demand for greater leadership within the HOST. The TARGOTH is given command over CENTRAL URUK warriors at all times, and during times of WAHG command over ALL URUK warriors including the WARGOTH LEVY. A TARGOTH is granted a place in the KLAMOR regardless of whether they are WARGOTH, however, their opinion upon matters of state is regarded less and their opinions on matters of WAHG more. Additionally, it is possible to be WARGOTH and TARGOTH at once. A TARGOTH is the deliverer of justice. If KRUG’S LAW is broken by any within the REXDOM LURAK the TARGOTH is required to deliver swift justice to the one breaking the law. A TARGOTH however is overruled only when a WARGOTH whose land the law was broken upon intercedes as to deliver the punishment themselves; this may be however halted should the TARGOTH petition the REX or AUTARCH to allow them to deliver the punishment instead. A TARGOTH is granted the right to freely demote and promote soldiers of the CENTRAL URUK FORCE at any given time. To punish or reward as they deem fit. ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RIGHTS OF THE TARGOTH ARE RELAYED VIA THE DECREE OF THE MILITARY. ON THE RIGHTS OF THE AUTARCH The AUTARCH is an office only granted to URUK with exceptional ability; usually a previous WARGOTH or TARGOTH who has resigned in favor of being the primary advisor to the REX. AUTARCH serves as minister for DIPLOMACY, WAR, and TREASURY when not overruled by the REX. The only force from which the AUTARCH is required to answer to is that of KRUG’S LAW and REX. The AUTARCH is granted ABSOLUTE POWER when the REX is not present to deliver their will. The AUTARCH is granted the right to approve of new infrastructure and the demolition of old. Along with this AUTARCH might evict citizens of the REXDOM-LURAK at will with the exception of WARGOTHS from which they must consult first the REX upon their removal. (This only applies for non-CLAN-owned properties, as CLAN-owned properties must follow prior DECREE or will be freely removed at will by the AUTARCH.) The AUTARCH reserves the right to freely enter into diplomacy with all nations. As head diplomat and advisor of the REX the AUTARCH is effectively given the function of the REX when they are not present during diplomatic meetings. The AUTARCH reserves the right to call and lead the KLAMOR should the REX not be available. The AUTARCH reserves the right to take control over the HOST and all LEVY during times of WAHG when not in the presence of the REX. ON THE RIGHTS OF REX The greatest title a Uruk can hold is REX, it is absolute. It is respected. When speaking with a REX absolute respect is required of citizens of LURAK. During KLAMOR disagreement with the REX is allowed but only if no insult is given. The REX is POWER, the REX is STATE, and the REX is LURAK. The REX holds absolute control, bowing only to KRUG’S LAW.
  2. REXDOM-LURAK Artwork by @thequeennadine Centuries have passed with Uruk under the banner of the Iron Horde… Centuries of war, bloodshed, and destruction. The question posed to the Wargoths and their Clans: What good have we accomplished? What purpose did those wars serve? The Northern Tribe of the Swiv, driven by two great Warlords, the culmination of their lessons and interactions with the other races has left them with the experience and innovations needed to bring about a new age of Uruk. The Age Lurak. THE AGE OF LURAK The Rexdom was found in rags, their funds spent upon infrastructure and aiding in wars that ultimately doomed their economy. No longer could this be permitted. Was it truly the Lurak who stood alone in the disappointment of the previous administrations? The very culture itself? For years machinations, and manifestations drew closer to the crowning achievement of AUTARCH Daahd’Lur: not ruination of fleets, theft of flagships, slaying of saints, the slaying of Gods, but the crowning of his daughter. REX Rue’Lur. It was in secret that the REX was brought up, and in secret until the day of transfer when Rex Klog’Akaal did cede the crown to REX Rue’Lur child of Daahd’Lur-Targoth. With the transfer; the Horde is mutilated, to be torn apart for only the useful pieces. The bickering tribes and clans forced to conform to form a proper state. Not an Iron Horde but a true state, REXDOM-LURAK. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE REXDOM, THE AUTARCH, THE ABOLITION OF THE HORDE. With THIS DECREE the HORDE is ABOLISHED. The rise of something greater, a stronger state, not one of weak leadership but one of ABSOLUTE POWER. The REXDOM is established with ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY invested into the REX-LURAK and AUTARCH who alone reserve right to call KLAMOR. REX RUE’LUR @thequeennadine is henceforth given dominion over the lands of the HORDE, THE HORDE will subsequently be referred to as REXDOM-LURAK. TARGOTH DAAHD’LUR @Sean_VEVO will serve as AUTARCH, GENERAL, and ADVISOR to the REX. REFORMATION OF CLANS, REESTABLISHMENT OF WARGOTH, KLAMOR CENSUS will be carried out across LURAK in order to establish an ACTIVE CABINET of WARGOTHS, advisors, and subservient cheifs of the REX. IF CLANS FAIL TO MEET THE CRITERIA DECIDED BY THE AUTARCH THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED MOOT AND ABOLISHED. LAWFUL LEVYABLE LOYAL WARGOTHS MUST ALSO BE REQUIRED TO OWN ONE HUNDRED ACRES OF LAND WITHIN LURAK SEPARATE FROM ROYAL PROPERTIES FROM WHICH THEY WILL PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE STATE VIA THE TAXATION OF THEIR CITIZENS. DECREE UPON STATE RELIGION The RELIGION of THE REXDOM-LURAK is decreed to be reverence of the SPIRITS and ANCESTORS, primarily AZTRAN: SPIRIT OF THE SUN. MAY HE BRING BACK LIGHT INTO OUR DARK WORLD. Other faith and worship is ALLOWED, with the exception of IBLEESIAN WORSHIP. IT IS DECREED THAT GENERAL RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IS TO BE FOLLOWED. DECREE UPON FOREIGNER FOREIGNERS are permitted within the REXDOM-LURAK so long as they do not break REXDOM LAW or disrespect the WILL of the REX or AUTARCH. Trade is to be managed by the TREASURER and AUTARCH. At any point, the crown may choose to exile foreigners for whatever reason deemed fit. REGARDING “WHITEWASH” WHITEWASH is hereby ABOLISHED. Should URUK prove worthy of OSTRACIZATION to the REXDOM-LURAK they will be punished through LAW and either EXILED or EXECUTED. Being FOREIGN URUK is no grounds for exile, instead, the criteria for exile will be as follows: DISGRACEFUL WEAK WILLED CONNIVING SLOVENLY DISHONORABLE DISLOYAL OTHER APPLICABLE REASONING BY THE REX OR AUTARCH

  4. The sharp winds of the desert fly past the Targoths shoulders as he rides his great Lur Wolf This is held as a warning to those who think they may reside within the boundaries of the holy desert with no payment, no tribute, and no respect. Today is the day that many have rethought their underestimations of the Iron Horde and the great Veletz. Today is the day the Horde captured 500 Hyspians straight from their city, as their King, not even bothered to come save them, set for Veletz with his Haenseni zkah-friends. A day of victory that will be remembered as the day that set the Orcs back into motion, a day that set the Orcs officially on a straightened path. Though Hyspia and Haense planned to hold no mercy or honor, all 500 Hyspians were set free, with the punishment of a brand of my clan burned into their foreheads. So hear my words, Cesar II. Those 500 Hyspians and Warriors that I call sheep were all too small to hunt for the likes of my wolves. Leave these lands, pick up all those ugly bricks you have placed, and lay home somewhere else. For my great power, given to me by the Rex as I am Targoth, will smite all Hyspians from the holy land. Men and women will be slain or put to work, and though children are the future, they will be met with our culture instead of yours, and so; Your culture will fall to extinction. GLOZAG’VOTAR! SIGNED, Rex Grommash Rex of the Iron Horde, Speaker for the Iron Horde, Goth ob San’Briu. Targoth Grimruk’Lur Targoth of the Krug’hai, Wargoth of Clan Lur.

For his once known fearless reputation seems to be ash of scam. It has been around three years, a year overdue of the tik mi has given him, since he has accepted mi challenge. Mi gave him tik in response to his begging for mercy, his begging of mercy to allow him to say gug’ye to his kubs. It has been far too long. Agh so, this message is to lats, Ixula’Akaal, Waghgoth to Waghgoth, lats hold a week to face mi, or mi will end lats honorless life, agh curse lats to nuber peep the stargush. SIGNED, GRIMRUK’LUR.
  6. THE WILL OF A CONQUERER Come Urukiim, become one with the horde. Raise your blade and bow, use your strength for KRUG’s glory. The Wargoth sat upon a great and tall tree, a tree he had climbed as a challenge for himself. Up within the gracious and damp leaves of the grand flora, Grimruk fell to thought. He spoke with the spirits, confiding in them and giving his questions, remarks, and trivia. “Fiarza, give mi a zign.” His voice echoed throughout the great winds that came from behind him. Silence fell upon the jungle, and within that moment, a shadow of great proportion had taken over his spot, causing his skin to cool. His brown eyes set themselves upon the origin of such a proud sign, and there it was. A hawk like no other flew overhead, letting out a call that shook the very branches Grimruk held his balance on. The grand beast then was swallowed up by the grand sky, turning into a cloud that struck thunder into the river and kept his people from thirst. Grimruk understood. “MI!” The proud Lur Wargoth then called, atop the horn of yar. “MI WILL LEAD UZ TO VICTORY!” His axe rose itself into the air. “OUR PEOPLE WILL NUB COWAR AGAINZT LEZZERZ ANY LONGER!” His roars became ever mightier with each word spoken. “WITH MI AZ TARGOTH, WE, WE WILL BRING GLORY TO THE HORDE!” The winds that had once met him atop a tree arrived once again. The strong currents were clashing against the firepit before him. “WE ALL, WILL BRING VICTORY! LOOT! AGH HONOUR TO OUR PEOPLEZ!” The winds had overtaken the flames now, causing them to fall silent for one moment. “WWWWWAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!” His roar was now at its peak, and the air currents that brought about the flames expulsion,, now caused its grand eruption.
  7. WAGH BE UPON YE Degenerates of Evil Hohkmat, Lurin, Petra. The three degenerate nations that allow Voidal Magic to corrupt their minds so greatly, that they have become degenerates. They hold bathhouse parties where naked elves roam and encourage acts that should not be spoken of. This Ends, Today. If one wishes to bathe, do so within your own home. If one wishes to do acts unspoken of, do so within reach of the SkyGods, not us common folk. If one wishes to challenge this claim and order, you may duel me. DEATH TO THE DEGENERATES! 8. CLAIM TO WARGOTH ON THE CURRENT WARGOTH Madoc has served the clan greatly under his title as Wargoth. Taking it from Yarrow’Lur and her inactivity, the Uruk took an attempt to bring it back. Though Madoc holds experience, knowledge and political demeanor far above my skill, I believe that it is now time for strength and show of power, not political prowess. MY CLAIM TO WARGOTH I believe myself to be one of the strongest Orcs within the Horde at this current moment. A bold statement, however, all the recent fights and my still strong tusks speak the truth. You all know me to be young, many Uruks, specifically of the Akaal call me a child, even though I have beaten them all in one to one combat. I believe that my future is not of one to follow, but of one to lead. Lead great battles, great pilgrimages and bring the Orcs, Lur specifically, to ultimate glory. As my ancestors before me, Leydluk’Raguk and Akrukil’Lur had done. THE CHALLENGE We will fight. Not to the death, but in a Hur’Mauk. We will both choose weapons of equal make as the ancient tradition follows. The fight will end upon the making of a vicious wound, or the yielding of another. As I hold great respect to you, I will allow you to choose the choice of weaponry. Glozag’Votar The hunt guides us to fortune! SIGNED, Grimruk’Lur, ‘Righteous Steel-Wolf’ Chieftain and Axe of Clan Lur, Krimpgoth of the Iron Horde. 152, S.A

  10. TO THOSE THAT ARE NOT WORTHY Krimpgoth Grimruk’Lur You strayed off the path, though you gain another chance. Take my hand child, follow the path once more. This year has been a challenging one, both literally and figuratively. Though I, with a fair zult giving to me by my clansman, have slayed the elf that had challenged me. His head will soon meet the failed and whitewashed folk and tell the tale of what happens when you cross an Uruk between him and his destiny. Our goi has been cursed and poisoned by foul elves that claim themselves to be honorary. But they do not reside with us, do not fight with us, do not respect our culture, and do not speak our tongue or share our name. With cowardice and malice, they betrayed us and stabbed our kind in the back, causing some to fall. To prevent this from happening once again. New trials will begin, and titles will be stripped. If your name is not listed, you are to face me, and do the trials again. OBOK’UGLUK “Honor and Loyalty is never-ending to this one.” MINTO’LUR “His size is little, yet his power is great.” SLITH’UNGRI “Loyal, clever and upholding of his tradition.” TOAD’YAR “Wargoth of great ambition. 11. "Shadows of the Hunt: The Legend of Murag, the Whitewash's Bane" In the ancient land of Krugmar, where the orcs of various clans roamed and thrived, there lived a young green orc named Murag. Born into Clan Lur, a proud and skilled group of hunters, Murag's destiny seemed intertwined with the ways of the hunt. His fierce determination set him apart from others. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming the greatest orc in history, a true legend among his people. Though many laughed at Murag's ambition, his friends stood by him, offering support and encouragement. Murag cared little for the cultural norms and wisdom of his clan, but he never disrespected them. He was driven by a desire to achieve greatness and be remembered for his feats. One fateful day, tragedy struck. Murag's father ventured out on a hunt for a dangerous whitewash—an orc who had turned his back on the traditions and values of their people, committing unspeakable crimes. During the hunt, Murag's father lost his life, leaving his son consumed by rage and grief. Murag's path shifted from joining Clan Lur and taking the traditional test to pursue revenge against the whitewash. Leaving his family and Krugmar behind, Murag embarked on a relentless quest to find the rogue orc responsible for his father's death. He spent years wandering through treacherous lands, honing his skills and growing stronger. Eventually, fate led him to the whitewash he sought—a fearsome creature with scars and trophies of defeated orcs. The winds howled, and the storm raged, mirroring the fury that swelled within him. With a primal roar, he charged into battle, his muscles moving with the fluidity of a river in flood. The battle between Murag and the whitewash was fierce and intense. The whitewash was strong, using his claws to fight with the ferocity of a beast he had once killed. Murag, fueled by his determination and anger, matched his opponent's strength and fought with the skill his father had instilled in him. In the end, Murag emerged victorious, but not without sustaining a grievous wound. The whitewash's claws left a permanent scar on the left side of Murag's face, a lasting reminder of his quest for vengeance. The taste of revenge, however, did not bring Murag the solace he sought. Instead, he found himself haunted by the memories of his father and the pain he had caused to others on his journey. He realized that revenge had not healed his heart, but only fueled more pain. With newfound wisdom and experience, Murag returned to Krugmar, a changed orc. Standing at an imposing 7 feet tall, with new scars adorning his body, and a depth in his eyes that spoke of hard-earned maturity, he took the test and was accepted into Clan Lur. The young orc who once craved fame and recognition was now an honorable and respected member of his clan. He no longer sought titles or accolades; instead, he vowed to protect and fight for his brothers. Over the years, Murag's bravery and wisdom helped his clan grow and prosper. He earned the loyalty and respect of his peers, and many considered him a role model. As the seasons passed, Murag aged gracefully, his life devoted to the code of an honorable hunter. In his heart, Murag knew that death was inevitable, but he refused to let age slow him down. He embraced every hunt as if it were his last, living each day to the fullest. In his final days, Murag ventured on one last hunt, alone but content. Surrounded by the wild beauty of Krugmar. Murag faced a formidable opponent, a creature of immense power. With the ferocity of a warrior in his prime, he battled bravely, not giving in to the passage of time. In the end, Murag fell, surrounded by the echoes of victory and honor, he breathed his last breath, knowing that he had lived a life worth remembering. His legacy lived on, not just in stories of his hunt for the whitewash but in the hearts of his people, who cherished the memory of a once ambitious young orc transformed into a true hero and protector of his kin.
  12. We are the Hunters, the Enemy is Our Prey The children of Lur are not footmen, they are hunters. Known for their great instincts to track and hunt, tame, and overcome all beasts. The members of Clan Lur also pride themselves on withholding their cursed bloodlust, keeping themselves calm with the thrill and violence of a hunt. With the help of their companions, the ancient Lur Wolves, they thrive to become the best at any skill they overtake. With the help of the hunt, the calm brothers and sisters of Lur showcased their honor more than any clan, which helped form their strict code. Lur was a smaller orc than others, and he was made fun of for his size. However, this did not stop him from reaching his goal, making him the greatest hunter and beast tamer that had ever lived. Lurs are historically smaller than other orcs, both in height and in muscle mass. This helps them move faster through denser areas, and be more agile against a great beast. Unlike other clans, which have blessed themselves with the help of the spirits, pure-blooded Lurs remain green. The Lur clan was formed by the greater ancestor, Lur, one of the sons of Krug. Their culture has great depth, for they are one of the oldest clans still alive today. Dating back to the times of Gorkil, Azog, and Ugluk. The Lur hold a great bond with a mount that has followed them back to the founding of the clan, the Great Lur Wolves. They are highly intelligent beasts, and only follow their masters. Some say that the Great Wolves and the Lurs are spiritually bonded. The bond between the two, helps the Lurs in hunts and beast taming, which their ancestor Lur was known for. Due to the clan's history dating back to the age of heroes, Clan Lur follows its ancestry dearly. A tradition now forgotten by all orcs is, however, being brought back by the clan. The greatest honor for a Lur is to die in a hunt or in battle. Upon death, Clan Lur believes that Kor will bring them to Votar, who will introduce them to their great ancestor Lur, so they can hunt together in the great spiritual hunting plains for eternity. “ Without tradition, we forget who we is, stay true to latself ” THE TRIAL OF THE HUNT Honor is sacred in the clan. For if one breaks the code and shows no honor, the clan will impose punishment on the honorless. The honorless orc will be placed on the hunting grounds, alone and bound. There, the clan will begin preparing their spears and axes to hunt them down. Once the clan is ready, the honorless are released and given the right to flee like a wild animal. It is then, the clan begins their hunt. If the honorless have the ability to outrun the great clan, then they are seen as innocent in the eyes of Votar. However, if they are caught, they are to be a sacrifice to the spirit. COMING OF AGE Once the blooded Lur has reached the age of 13 they are introduced to a Lur wolf pup. Then, the wolf and the young Lur are sent into the most dangerous part of the wild in the coming days to prove that the time of weakness and innocence is over and that it is time to be strong and to be a hunter. The bond between the two will grow greatly. There are even myths that ancient Lurs and their wolves could hear each other's thoughts. Upon the death of the wolf, the Lur shall never tame one again. As an act of respect for their fallen brother, the wolf will be slain by the closest of the Lur, or the wolf will give itself up so it can be buried or burned alongside its brother. BONE CRAFTING It is seen as dishonorable and disrespectful to slay a beast and not thank it by leaving its body to rot. Every part of a beast is used. From its hide to its bone. It is said that San’Lur, after being taken from the humans, was decorated with the great bones of beasts Lur had slain. Since then, bone has been an important material in Lur culture. Which is used for tools, jewelry, clothing, war paints, and even architecture. HUNT OF THE BETRAYED A great hunt set in honor of those that had fallen during the clan wars. The Lur use black steel for this hunt, believing that the darkened metal brings their ancestors closer. When the beasts are hunted down, their bodies will be placed in a great bonfire, symbolizing the waste of their brethren, and how their deaths brought nothing but dishonor and chaos. “ The spirits agh our ancestors watch over us bruddah, make them proud ” ANCESTRALISM Ancestralism is the worship of the spiritual ancestors. This faith was once followed by all clans, primarily led by the clans that dated back to the age of heroes. However, in recent times, the close following of their ancestors has died, but is now slowly rising once more. In the past, the Lurs were known for their great knowledge of their ancestors, knowing their bloodline back to Lur himself. It is a tradition long forgotten but brought back recently. Ancestors are worshipped and praised through sacrifices and rituals that consist of deep connections between the two. With the help of a lutauman, the orcs have the ability to become greatly interested in and intertwined with their ancestors. It is common tradition to worship one ancestor alongside the immortals. SPIRITUALISM The Lurs have a history of worshipping Freygoth and Votar primarily. However, in recent times, this has changed. Votar still remains a great priority, but Freygoth does not. All Lurs are encouraged to follow the spirits, though they lean more on the ancestral side. They are also encouraged to worship any spirit they like. “ There is nub honor in grizhlust, agh with no honor at all, there is no ork ” The clan holds a code to make sure they uphold their honor at all times. Breaking this code can enable strong punishment, from a light one such as a beating to a sentence of death or even a ‘whitewashing’ from the clan. This code was set by Lur himself when the time was young and he still walked among his brothers. NUMBER I Only when in great need will a Lur hunt the weak, for there is no honor, respect and glory in killing which provides no challenge to hunt and or kill. NUMBER II A lur will always seek strong prey. The greater the challenge, the greater the prize, and with a great challenge, great strength follows. NUMBER III Never to hunt, or kill another Lur outside of a Mat’Mauk. Challenge those that oppose you, do not kill them foolishly. NUMBER IV Obey the Lurgoth, for he | she were chosen by the ancestors, the elders and Lur himself. NUMBER V Never attempt the sabotage or the taking of another Lur’s position for your own personal gain. The clan always comes first. Join Lur, NOW!!!
  13. The Lur clan originates from one of Krug’s original sons, and so, as with the other ‘legacy clans’ , the Lur clan has followed their ancestry line for centuries. However, with the recent troubles, this has stopped among all clans. Lur will take this upon themselves to continue their orcish legacy and write the history of both their ancestors and future descendants. The Lur clan is divided into five bloodlines. Each of these bloodlines comes from the heroes of the great age. They are each led by an elder of the clan, a descendant, and a blooded member of the clan. They are split as follows: THE FIST OF LUR ELDER: n|a The descendants of TOR are known to be calm and calculating. They are perhaps the strongest, and most intelligent out of the bloodlines. Their minds are powerful, as much as their strength. THE AXE OF LUR ELDER: n|a The descendants of BRALKOR are most known for being stubborn and rash, their size is larger than other Lurs and they commonly value Honor above all. They view themselves as an always improving warrior. THE WOLF OF LUR ELDER: Madoc’Lur | @Sewer_Rat The descendants of KURAK and their natural instincts are savage, wild yet, their loyalty cannot be unbeaten, and their trust never broken. The largest of all bloodlines and the most violent. THE SWORD OF LUR ELDER: Azfrai’Lur | @Plummius_ The descendants of JARKAN, show to be the most agile of Lur’s. Preferring to be fast in the wind, they tend to take high risks to fill their need for speed. THE TRICKSTER ELDER: n|a The descendants of TRICKSTER are the wisest of the clan. Commonly preferring to be the diplomat, using words instead of violence. Due to Trickster being a goblin, this clan is the smallest of the Lurs. CLAN ELDERS The clan’s elders are the leaders of each bloodline. These are the orcs that take over their bloodline and represent it for the clan. It is their duty to make sure the bloodline remains and does not end. These are more than likely orcs that have proved themselves, with either heroic acts or with great wisdom. The Lur clan is a traditional clan. And as such, they kept to the similar hierarchy of other clans. The Wargoth is the leader of the clan; their job is to follow the clan’s traditions and make sure the clan keeps its honor and glory. The Chieftain’s job is to take care of the members, second in command to the Wargoth, in case the Wargoth is unavailable. The Elders are in charge of the bloodlines; their job is to teach the younger clan members, and to help the clan reach its goals. The Packmaster is the role of the orc that takes care of beasts, Lur wolves, and clan activities. The Hunter is the basic role of the clan, given to an official Lur once they have completed all their trials. WARGOTH CHIEFTAIN ELDER PACKMASTER HUNTER
  14. A CALL FOR CHIEFTAIN The LUR clan needs stability, with all the changes that are to come, the wargoth undoubtedly cannot do all. So I claim, the right to CHIEFTAIN. Second in command to the wargoth. As is our orcish right to do so, those which challenge my claim will be allowed to fight me for it. I wish not to hear your challenge in a note, but face to face at the camp where we rest. The ancestors look upon me, and I will not dishonor them. So come at me if you will, but it will not be easy. You have until the end of the week to call upon your challenge. GLOZAG’VOTAR SIGNED, Grimruk’Lur Son of Lok’gul, The Huntsgoth of the Iron Horde
  15. [!] A tattered and bloodied scroll would be sent out to all the Lurs that were spread out within the lands, both old and new. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо THE NEW TRIALS The Lur clan has always excelled in hunting, animalism and husbandry throughout the years, dating all the way back to the great Lur himself, who founded the clan and was renowned not only for slaying large and insurmountable beasts, but also for taming them as well. His children, to this day continue down the honorable path that Lur himself has set out for his king, and those that would follow in his footsteps, striving to become the greatest hunters in all the lands. ・TRIAL AZH - The Great Hunt・ The art of the hunt was always an important aspect of a Lurs life, dating all the way back to when Lur himself founded the great clan. For a Lur, the hunt serves as the embodiment of their skill and dedication of spending many days, months and even years, tracking down and hunting their prey, to offer it to Votar, The Spirit of the Hunt. During their first trial, the aspiring Lur will have to decide on a beast of their choosing and hunt it down, while not being allowed to hunt anything else during the process, or risk failing the trial. This will demonstrate to the other members that the fledgling Lur has patience and tolerance for the hunt, as they ignore the elements and any obstacles that appear in their way. Finally, once the beast has been hunted down, the trophy must be brought back to the Clan and presented to a Lur member or the Wargoth. ・TRIAL DUB - The Trial of The Mind・ Although the hunt is an important part of a Lurs trials, nothing is as important as the mind of the young fledgling, for with a strong mind comes the ability to make critical decisions and figure out how to best overcome stressful situations. But most importantly, a strong mind is key to not letting bloodlust cloud the Lurs judgment, thus preventing them from becoming frenzied and reckless. In order to test the mind, the fledgling will be given a mixture of carefully selected drugs to consume, either via drinking or eating it. Once the drug mixture has been consumed, the soon to be Lur will be placed into a box which will be hammered down with nails, where the young fledgling will have to spend 24 narrative hours, surviving the effects of isolation, darkness and the drugs. Should the Lur overcome their mind and its tricks, they will successfully complete the second trial. However, should they give in to the tricks and the wickedness of their mind, the trial will be considered a failure. ・TRIAL GAKH - The Sacrifice・ The third trial is arguably the hardest trial that the future Lur will have to undergo. At the beginning of their trials, the fledgling hunter will be given a pet to care for throughout their journey, all the way up until the final trial. Once the Lur reaches the third and final trial, they will have to make the difficult choice and to sacrifice the pet that they have been caring for all this time, by offering the sacrifice to Votar, the Spirit of The Hunt. Once the sacrifice has been carried out, the soon to be Lur will be baptized in the animals blood before being given a tattoo by the Wargoth to symbolize the completion of their trial and be welcomed into the Lurs as a full member. However, should the pet die or run off, before or during any of the trials, the third and final trial will be considered a failure. The same will apply should the Lur not be able to sacrifice the animal, thus showing dishonor towards the Spirit of The Hunt. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо
  16. | THE 100-YEARS HUNT | “Ku’Bur-Votar” The hall filled with citizens of the Horde, ranging from the tallest uruk to the swiftest elf. The Rex spoke his speak and then the Targoth, captivating the ears of those present. They spoke of important matters yet Droku’Lur’s thoughts lay elsewhere. He thought of his ancestors, of the great hunters of aeons passed. The night before he dreamt of Lur slaying the three-headed wolf, and the week before he spoke with a lesser immortal under Votar. He knew what to do. With a mighty whistle he summoned his lurwolf Sarakh, whose howl pierced the hall and the attention of the onlookers. Droku leapt from the pavilion onto her saddle, reeling her upwards and swinging his fist in the air. “I have something to say!” The wolf growled at all present, baring her teeth viciously. Droku continued: “I am Droku of Clan Lur, son of Dromug the ‘Fatwolf’. I am Huntsgoth of the Horde! I have ridden with many with you, hunted with others. Though many here know not my name so I speak it! I did not become Huntsgoth because I wanted to. It was said to me by Augrec ‘The Pale Shaman’. Brothers and sisters, he had a vision, and you were in it!” Droku swirled the wolf around, pacing about the hall as he inspected all in it. “Many moons ago, before Orgon’s plague and before the hardships my ancestor Kurak rode with the mighty Lur himself, son of Krug. Lur led them on a hundred years hunt! This hunt is known to our clan as a great tradition.” He spit offside. “It has been too long! Though we speak of this, we grow fat and idle. No more! I, Droku of Clan Lur, will lead us on another 100 years hunt! This is the vision Augrec foresaw, us bounding through swamp, sand and snow. In praisal of Lur, Votar and Freygoth! Ride with me! Hunt with me and your names will be recorded in the tablets of history, to dance immortal in haruspex! Glozug Votar!” And so, as the hall erupted into chants and roars of approval, the Ka’Bur-Votar had started. The first year of the hundred year hunt had commenced. OOC note: Set it as a challenge for myself to hold a hunting event weekly for the next 100 weeks, we’ll see how far I get. If you want to participate, hmu on Ryn#2543 or in the Horde discord!

The shaman bristles with pride, knowing that even someone of their cursed lineage could bring to fruition such a marvelous testament to the might of the spirits. And yet, guilt snaked through the very core of Yarrow'Lur, a sense of duty and obligation that refused to allow them a peaceful respite. She arms herself with a broom, going to sweep out the empty, abandoned Lur Hall. Ready to pick up where she left off. THE REWRITTEN TRIALS оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо The Lur clan has made their mark upon the Orcish people through their prowess in hunting, animalism, and husbandry. Lur himself was renowned for not only slaying large and insurmountable beasts, but for taming them as well. Lur-Goi, one of the first orcish cities, sat atop the back of the most fearsome opponent; a Scaddernak. Paying respect to the honor of his lineage, the trials have been changed to better reflect this. ・AZH・ The art of the hunt is an important aspect of any orc's life. In a Lur, it exists as a testament to their skill and dedication. The hunt takes place in two stages. During the first, the aspiring Lur must track and capture a living animal of their Wargoth's choosing. This shows their patience and tolerance for the hunt, and the elements that work against them during it. The second stage involves bringing the beast before the Wargoth and slaying it, where the orc will be anointed with its blood and baptised anew under the ever watchful eye of Lur Himself. ・DUB・ As a Lur connects with nature and its bounties, it is necessary to demonstrate their respect and thankfulness for the wilds off of which they thrive. A shrine is constructed throughout the world, in the name of Freygoth and Votar, or even in the name of their favoured prey's spiritual representative. This both shows their respect for the selected spirit, and invokes them, so they will smile on the orc's future hunts. ・GAKH・ The final trial is meant to leave a permanent mark on the young hunter, solidifying both their connection to nature and to the spirits. The initiate is brought before the Wargoth of the clan, who consults the spirits on a suitable animal marker to scrawl across their skin. The inking process takes hours, with nothing to relieve from the pain in order to build up a tolerance. This can be mundane, or the Wargoth may petition a Farseer for a tattoo of higher quality should they find the initiate to be worthy of it. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо I swear that I will ride like the wind, hunt like the wolf and kill like my ancestors before me. My weapon belongs to Lur, my body belongs to Lur, my life belongs to Lur. I am loyal above all to Lur, I will die for Lur. I forsake my land, wealth and glory, all that is mine belongs to my clan. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Lore 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо The Lur Clan was formed by Lur, one of the four sons of Krug. The clan has a long history in Orcish culture, standing itself alongside the Gorkil and Azog clans as some of the longest in existence. The Lurs are not footmen, they are hunters. The hunt is the most important thing for a Lur. To prove themselves in the hunt is what all young Lurs wish to do. The Lurs have a bond to The Great Lur wolves, huge intelligent beasts that only obey the Lur clan. Along with hunting, Lurs are master beast tamers, whether it be a simple canine being or even the scaddernak. Trained as a kub to take advantage of the nature that Freygoth provides them, they spend countless hours living among the beasts of the lands. Taming and using these beasts come with great skill, only a select few Lurs are able to master this talent. Along with beast-taming, there are many other skills that Lurs tend to take up. Every Lur strives to perfect the hunt and to rise. They have a strict code of conduct and believe in honor above all. Lurs are usually smaller than other Orcs, but they make up for it by being much quicker and more agile. When a Lur or their Wolf are killed in the hunt or in battle, their bodies are brought to their ancestral lands and then burnt. Their ashes go to the wind and will always ride in the wind. The Lur believe that when they die they go to a great plains of the spirit realm where they will hunt with Lur for all eternity. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Traditions 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо The Trial of the Hunt: Should a Lur or anyone else under Lur rule break a code or do an act against the Lur clan, then they shall be trialed by hunt. The rule breaker will be armed and set out into the night by themselves with their wolf detained. The rest of the clan will spend time preparing for the hunt that is about to begin. Once they are ready, they set out to hunt down the accused in hopes to find them, and slay them; Being treated as an animal or other worthy beast. However should they be caught, they will serve as a sacrifice to Votar, as he chose to bless the hunters more than that hunted. Although if they survive, their crimes shall be vanquished as the spirit of Votar has been pleased with their performance. Coming of Age: When Lurs reach the age of 9 years they are introduced to a Lur wolf cub. The Lur and its wolf are sent to the wilds to survive. This is to prove that the time of weakness is over, they are no longer prey, it is time to be strong, to be the hunter. The wolf cub and the Lur are bound together not only as rider and mount but as brothers, elder Lurs have grown so close to their wolves they can hear each other's thoughts. Once a Lur wolf dies, a Lur shall never tame one again, as an act of respect for failing these beasts. However shall the orc die, the Lur wolf will be slain, and laid to rest with the orc. Popular spirits that are worshipped among the Lur Clan are Votar, the Spirit of the Hunt and Freygoth, the Spirit of Nature. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Hierarchy 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо Wargoth The head of clan Lur Chieftains Seconds in command Elders Former Wargoths and Chieftains who act as advisors Hunters Members who have passed their trials Scouts Those who have yet to perform their trials оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Code 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо Only when in great need will a Lur hunt the weak. There is no honour in hunting and killing something that presents no challenge to hunt and kill. A Lur will always seek strong prey, as the prize is greater and he becomes stronger in doing so. They are never to hurt or kill another Lur outside of an honour duel. Obey the leader of the hunt (Wargoth of the Lur clan) with no hesitation. They were chosen by the elders and by Lur himself. Only Elders and Chieftains may challenge for Wargoth, and it must be done with the support of the Hunters who will have to live under their ruling. Furthermore, Lurs should never try to take the position of another Lur for your own personal gain. The Clan always comes first. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Bloodlines 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо The Fist Bloodline: The Fist are usually the most calm and cold of the Lur bloodlines, they think that physical strength is the purest weapon that a warrior can use. They descend from Tor, the Fist of Lur. The sons of Tor will go to extreme measures to get stronger and stronger. The Trickster Bloodline: The trickster descends from the Trickster of Lur. They are the most diplomatic and the best at convincing others to do what they want, The Tricksters sons are many times goblins for their founder was goblin. They are often considered to be some of the smartest Orcs arounds. The Wolf Bloodline: The most savage and wild of bloodlines but also the most loyal and trustworthy. The wolves descend from Kurak the Wolf of Lur.They are the biggest of the Lurs and their preferred weapons are metal claws that let them act as savage as they want. They also have a closer bond to their wolves than other Lurs. The Axe Bloodline: Primarily known as the most stubborn and rash of all Lurs, they are strong and powerful and put honour above all other things. They think of themselves as an always improving warrior. They descend from Bralkor the Axe of Lur. The Sword of Lur: This bloodline is the most agile of all Lurs and some of the quickest as well, they enjoy riding as fast as they can and they descend from Jarkan the Sword of Lur. оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Trials 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо Trial One: A hunt of equivalent value to be determined by the Wargoth. More ambitious uruks may receive a more challenging trial should they wish to prove themselves and earn favor within the clan. The spoils of their trial will be hung on the Wall of Hunts. Trial Two: Trial by Hunt! Having passed trial one, the Scout is now tossed into the wilderness with only their wits and their lur wolf, and must spend the entire night hunted by two Hunters. Should they survive, they will pass and move to the next trial. Should they fail, they are forced to wait a year to improve their skills until they can demand to try again. It should be noted that if the Scout is not of Bloodline and therefore has no Lur Wolf, the same rules apply, except the Hunters will not use their wolves. Trial Three: A good hunter is also a good leader. For their third trial, the scout must lead a hunt of their own with at least 3 of their brethren to success. Once the kills have been brought back, the entire clan will cook and feast upon the spoils, and the Scout will take the Lur Vow to become an official Hunter! оО〇・-・〇Оо・-・оО〇 Allies 〇Оо・-・оО〇・-・〇Оо Clan Ka’zul.
