  1. Past hour
  2. Azdromoth ruminated over the slain son of Xan, a feeling foreign and unwelcome washing over him. What was it that the keeper had that he, or his sons, had lacked? He was a petty knight of Order; swindled by an Aengul with the promise of power, or purpose. But why did he remember his face?
  3. The musin Zahkriikyzer strode through the halls of Tor'Praeth, each step of his a move in an ancient and forgotten kata of the shallow tunnels beneath. As breath hissed in and out, they were accompanied by words in perfect poetic rhythm. ". . . The most valiant of them will fall first. . ." ". . . It is a product of their nature. . ." ". . . It is not because they are weak. . ." ". . . It is because the hearts of their allies lack. . ." Around and around he stepped, about draconic figure and dutiful herald alike, continuing that kata for as long as the moon was in the sky.
  4. Vyllaenen quickly accessed the Azdrazi 'deepweb' information system through his Tor('Praeth) browser. He left an anonymous note hanging from one of the 'threads' for the others to read.
  5. Blessed be our Godhunt “We know that Xan bleeds. That with this death… Everything changes.” The chamber within the Redmont rumbled, as the earth shifted all across Aevos. The Earthblood flowing freely once more, turbulent in its wake. The air within the halls became thick, wafted by a scent of sulfur and salt; infernal, malign in its essence. All of the draconic beings within equidistant proximity of one another felt that discomfort as an unbeknownst feeling gripped their souls, their chests heaved and burnt alike. Forcefully was the conclusion that brought them all to speak their query in tandem, aligned like a choir of vexatious canticle issued to no less than Xan’s most brave keeper; Albéric. “DO YOU FEAR, SPAWN OF XAN?” “DO YOU FEAR, SPAWN OF XAN?” “DO YOU FEAR, SPAWN OF XAN?” The air shifted, weaved by the Dragur’s Firstborne creation. Nephilim and herald alike felt the presence linger within their throat; but their voices became their own once more. Burning eyes stared with intent unto the subdued Albéric and Ailure. The keeper was offered a choice; an accord which could benefit not only his own person but the Archdrakaar all the same. Yet Albéric did not succumb, The words of the Archdrakaar rumbled like nails upon chalkboard, grated flesh and the greatest of discomforts ever imaginable upon descendants. Yet Albéric did not relent, Even in the wake of Ren-Oth-Uz in the hand of the Emperor Above, the Titan, Father is that the keeper did not abandon his station, his beliefs, his virtue, for he was Brave. Albéric did not yield. Azdromoth had now finally appeared before the eyes of his dragonflight and his sworn foes. Skidding Albéric’s companion across the room and issuing word for the hordes that revered him is that the room bore witness, and too Ailure would become the witness to the greatness that was to occur within the Redmont. And as the Titan prepared to strike, the brave Albéric spake: “Lord of Sunlight. Patron of Order…” “I beseech thee, grace me with your light and bring us victory in this fight.” A glorious sun manifested itself in radiant light, sending swathes of gold across the horizon, embracing the continent in brimming daylight; sapphire-streaks cleaving the very heavens. That same sapphire mist leaking from the visor of Albéric, whom no longer was himself but the vessel ordained by the Sunlit Lord, whom now acted through the plated keeper - the avatar of Xan. The Archdrakaar welcomed the apparition of his eternal foe, the Aengul whom hath denied him his birthright. Yet the anger he carried within, that never-ending-feud that burned deeply within the Titan was evident for even in the death of Albéric would Xan live on. Even in the passing of the keeper did this very manifestation of the Aengul invoke mockery upon Azdromoth whom without hesitation swung his terrific blade, roaring in an incomparable draconic fury. Forged of heresy and ruin, the harbinger of the end sought to clash against foe, fueled by the obsessive whispers of meat-sweet hunger, warping the earth in which the Redmont existed, as channeled ruinous power imbibed itself to strike true at the vessel of the Aengul whom sent forth a terrible shockwave of sapphire-mist, which toppled even the mightiest of dragons within the anointed and devoted of the Titan. Taunting and contesting even the most powerful of weapons in the posession of Azdromoth. Xan mocked and willed a spear out of sapphire smog to parry Ren-Oth-Uz’s mortal cleave. “You are an imperfect variant of your cursed father.” “Deny me no further that which makes me imperfect.” The ruthful blade sought the heart of the fallen keeper, engulfed in scorching dragonsflame, yet it was not enough; with much grace and otherworldly finesse is that Xan shifted his waist sidewars, forcing Azdromoth’s weapon to miss its mark all the same while impaling Mirwuldsetiid’s stomach, dubbing he an ignoble warrior. The Redmont exploded with fury as the Archdrakaar ripped his blade free, the Titan’s rage only in ascension, an ascent never seen before - bloodust - as the hearts of the nephilim beated like a wardrum that echoed and rang within their minds. He sought to be denied no longer- the Emperor Above. He sought to ensure his Aengul-foe knew his cause was lost. “Your imprudence is shown.” “Look at your father, he rages, screams and roars.” Taunted the Aengul, whom continued to mock in that duel of the ages the two entities of superior power found themselves in, piercing the Archdrakaar’s stomach with precision. “Even in freedom you are shackled. Our sister has left you in madness.” As that spear continued to pierce forward, burning with the sapphire light invoked by the Aengul is that Azdromoth calmly looked upon Albéric’s form, chin lifted in elegance to be betrayed only by his crazed wide visage, leaving naught but sweet whispers unto his enemy. “Feel my flame upon the other side, Order. It will engulf you soon.” Xan’s spear remained deep within the stomach of the Archdrakaar, yet that vessel could not ever hope to withhold the strength of the mountain-made behemoth, and before much could be said did the head of brave Albéric find itself spliced clean. And that fading sapphire mist began to diminish, bringing the now lifeless body into the ground, yet not without granting a last saving grace to the companion of Albéric - Ailure - whom was no longer seen within their temple. Warped into safety, safeguarded by either Xan’s powers or Albérics unparalelled will. The chamber fell silent then. Their Father granting them parting words as the spear was now ripped away from his innards, bleeding godsblood upon the dark labyrinth of Tor’praeth. “RUIN UNTO ORDER, BLESS OUR GODHUNT!” Another light had extinguished this day. The Age of Darkness nearing evermore, a comet soared over the continent twofold, burnt up in the atmosphere as once sapphire dust now turned crimson ichor, igniting unto naught.

  7. [!] A missive can be found posted to every notice board within Urguan. The Anvil Accord: Reforging the Council A Political Reform Proposal Due to the recent upheaval of the Urguani leadership, We the Honorable Citizens of Urguan demand that the Great City’s ideals and future success be placed first and foremost in the minds of both those currently holding council positions and potential candidates for open offices during this time of change and adjustment. In our articles below, We do not call for the dissolution of the Grand Kingdom as others do as We believe in the strength of uniting the clans under a common purpose and maintaining a strong sense of clan identity even more so in these uncertain times. Instead, We encourage an honest vote for a new Grand King to lead us into the next great Urguani era. In addition, We understand that his position is emboldened by the members of his King’s Council. Therefore, We posit that the reforms described herein should be considered for the betterment of the city and its citizens. Too long has the city remained untouched by innovative ideas that would further solidify Urguan’s position in the eyes of the surrounding nations and as such, We the citizens have noticed a regretful decline in the dignity of our beloved city. Our primary goal for these amendments is to bring new life and efficiency into the Urguani government. The Council of Hammers We the Honorable Citizens of Urguan believe that the principle goal of the Council of Hammers, formerly called the King’s Council, is to help bear the burden of responsibility of the governance of the city so that its citizens may be better served by its leadership. We have observed the current council growing complacent in their positions and have not seen any demonstrable enthusiasm as of late to provide us with quality servitude. With this in mind, We have consolidated the Council of Hammers into necessary roles along with improvements to each role so that the Grand King is sufficiently supported on a day-to-day basis. For the purpose of clarity, We have also defined each position so that all citizens may have a true understanding of their representatives. Grand King – Head of all Kingdom Affairs The Grand King is elected by the Urguan citizens and heads all Council of Hammers meetings and Clansmoots. He represents the best interests of the Dwarves and adheres to Dwarven laws and traditions. Though he sincerely considers the advice of his Council of Hammers, he is the final arbiter of justice in matters of law. Grand Steward – Head of City Stewards The Grand Steward and his appointed assistants oversee the day-to-day operations of Urguan. They diligently collect the city’s taxes, ensure adequate housing is provided for their citizens, and bring forth any city planning issues before the Grand King. They also keep account of the realm’s stores and finances, making sure there are sufficient supplies at all times. The Grand Steward represents the rest of the stewards during Council of Hammers meetings. Grand Ambassador – Head of Diplomatic Affairs A friend of all nations, the Grand Ambassador leads his emissaries in diplomatic missions across the land. They speak with other nations on behalf of Urguan and bring back critical information to aid the kingdom in political affairs. During Council of Hammers meetings, the Grand Ambassador advises the Grand King on trade potential, war, alliances, and other diplomatic topics by presenting the information gathered by his emissaries. Grand Marshall – Head of Military Affairs Protector of both the Grand King and the city of Urguan, the Grand Marshall’s day-to-day duties include training of the Dwarven Legion and keeping the peace. He also assigns guards to emissaries during their journeys outside of Urguan. At Council of Hammers meetings, the Grand Marshall advises the Grand King on matters of strategy and defense. High Prophet – Head of Religious Affairs A leading official in all things related to the gods, the High Prophet leads the clergy in providing the city with godly insights from the Brathmordakin. He makes himself available to teach the creeds of the gods to anyone who wishes to learn. The High Prophet advises the Grand King during Council of Hammers meetings on doctrine and relics. Iron Baron – Head of Social Activities/Tavernmaster A Dwarf with a penchant for organizing, the Iron Baron and any appointed assistants aid the Grand King with hosting various social events throughout the year. He plans and organizes tournaments, feasts, clansmoots, and other official events, making sure all supplies are accounted for and prizes are doled out. The Iron Baron also ensures all citizens are notified of events. In addition, he oversees the smooth running of Urguan’s tavern. During Council of Hammers meetings, he keeps the Grand King updated on the realm’s goings-on and associated costs. Yemekar’s Pick - Head of the Workforce/Guilds Yemekar’s Pick organizes the realm’s guilds and manages resources throughout Urguan. He and his assistants are responsible for initiating new citizens into the Workforce and maintaining the mines. Yemekar’s Pick also heads the Workforce’s benefits program, ensuring citizens are well-compensated for their honorable work. At Council of Hammers meetings, he represents the workers and brings forth any concerns before the Grand King. Additional Officials & Appointed Positions Grand Regent - Elected by Clan Fathers when a Grand King has not been appointed, the Grand Regent takes on the duties of the Grand King for a short period until a new Grand King can be elected. Stewards - These assistants to the Grand Stewards help oversee realm affairs, including tax collection. Emissaries - Appointed by the Grand Ambassador, emissaries are typically assigned specific regions to visit and gather intel. Hammer Scribe - Appointed by the Council of Hammers, the Hammer Scribe keeps records of all Council of Hammers meetings and Clansmoots. In addition, the Hammer Scribe also received reports from the Head Librarian to ensure realm records are kept organized and safe. Head Librarian - The Head Librarian oversees the Urguani Library and provides the citizens with unfettered access to the realm’s literature. They accept book donations and manage the vast library shelves. Head Reckoner - Holder of the Book of Grudges, the Head Reckoner ensures that all citizens adhere to Dwarven law and acts as a judge in criminal disputes. He also oversees the training and reporting of other reckoners. Clansmoots During this tumultuous time, We the Honorable Citizens of Urguan know that now is the time to strengthen our clan bonds, not shy away from them. We believe that it is the lack of solid and unifying clan identities that has led us astray from our aspirations as Dwarves. Brother fights against brother and the weakened clans have contributed to a weakened Urguan. Our wish is to see a revival of each clan’s purpose and re-found respect for Clan Fathers. Dwarven Legion With the increase of criminal acts around the city and the absence of a robust city guard, We the Honorable Citizens of Urguan seek the re-institution of the Dwarven Legion so that We may once again feel at peace within our stone walls. Our gates have stood unmanned and agape for any ne’er-do-well to sneak through, any provoker to stride through, and any army to storm through. We demand the government leadership call upon able-bodied Dwarves to join the Legion and train them so that they may be ready at a moment’s notice to repel those who wish ill on Urguan and its citizens. The Anvil Accord is put forth by Honorable Urguani citizens and the reforms summarized within this document are supported by Thurgrim Silverbraid.
  8. A knight in all black armor takes a puff from a stolen cigar, a solemn look on his fat face as he looks out onto his new homeland. Talking to no one but himself, the knight says “You know my whooe oife it wasth aoway'sth the bettew peopoe who died fiwst”. Taking another long puff from his cigar, he looks down “Fiwst isth wasth Sthiw Ethan, then Lowd Edmond, I hope Sthiw Gaspawd isth sthtioo aoive. . . and now Sthiw Radmiw”. A cold humorless laugh comes from the black knight's mouth, as tears run from his eyes. After a few moments, the knight stops laughing and the tears stop running. Taking one last puff from his cigar; letting it fall out of his mouth. The knight exhales a few times before realizing he is on the ground, a loud grunt is heard as the knight lifts himself up. Exhaling one last time the knight utters “You can do it Sthiw Magnus, peopoe need you to cawwy on.” blinking away a few more tears; Sir Mangus looks up at the moon and declares “Fow Sthiw Radmiw and the west of Veoetz I wioo cawwy on the dweam. . . the dweam of” he would cut himself off.

  10. "A step forward, certainly." said the both infamous and beloved Marc Galbraith, Interim Headmaster of the Society of the Ex. Horen, upon hearing of the Edict "I look forward to seeing who shall run for the Balianese Senate!"
  11. Theodore reads over the lengthy missive with a smile. "I'm glad to know that the passion she displayed at the Garmont Assembly was not just a tick of nervousness. She may just bring honor back to the seat she runs for." he says as he folds the missive in half. He chuckles to himself. "I'm certainly glad I won't have to face her in the polls."
  12. You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) It takes me a few seconds to respond, trying to find my bearings, I say "I'm sorr, I'm not sure why you would be expecting me... I accidentally came across town after a few nights in the forest. I honestly can't remember much past that though..."

  15. "I promised to tell him the tale of how Sir Gaspard lost his eye . . ." contemplated the hedge knight sadly in a deep state of melancholy. "I will sing it to him in the Seven Skies." he then murmured to Robert, a promise must never be broken, afterall. The freerider thought. Even if death comes upon us.

  19. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) The unnoticed presence of the crone catches Noelle off guard, pulling her head back into the armor. She pauses momentarily, removing her hand from its instinctual place at her sword's pommel. The woman's words snake through the gaps of metal, making their way to her guest's ears. "I'm surprised you know me. Not many do." The ironclad elf pauses momentarily, her words not wanting to leave her lips. "You.. A previous patron?.. Though you don't seem the type." Her armor creaks as she moves to a half-kneel upon the cushion. "I am simple. For hire, I complete deeds." She rose, realigning herself in front of the crone. "Albeit some hire for more problematic errands.." Unbeknownst to the woman, Noelle's suspicion grows. Her obscured face mixes with signs of unease and restlessness, pulling her face taunt. She narrowed her eyes. "If you mean a more personal story, I will not share." Her stance shifted, moving her vulnerable side opposite of the hag. "You never did speak of where you've known me." She let in a sharp inhale, pausing for a breath. "A brief tale couldn't hurt.." Noelle's head angled, keeping the crone in clear view. "I do not know my blood, nor do I have a desire to. I was raised as a human, by a human. He made who I am." Her gaze twitched, sliding off to the side while her posture softened. The mercenary's attention was recovered, now giving it to the woman once more. "Now speak. Where have you seen me?" Noelle's accusatory words shot towards her.
  20. 𝓛𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓪𝓿𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓻𝓼 It was an early hour when the Knight of Midden arrived upon horseback at the delivery of his first born and only son. His wife, Sophia, having bore the brunt of an excruciating childbirth lay still moving with the babe in her arms upon a small bed at a local tavern somewhere in the south Middlands. It was true Radmir was no outlaw, in fact those who took refuge in the Exilic Kingdom still remembered him fondly despite his unforeseen political movements; still he was hunted, twice he had fought off bandits upon the road claiming to fight for the falsely purported dead at Johannesburg. The man swiftly dismounted and lurched to his wife, while he was gravely saddened and even heartbroken Montalt men did not cry- he was taught such with swift beatings from his father the “Cow Count.” With his wife dying and newborn barely uttering noise he whimpered from his grizzled figure to her. “You did well, my dearest love. Godan has for you a seat at his bountiful table. Me and Mickael will join you there when he deem it right.” Warmly, she smiled as he patted her head; he had entrusted the ancestral blade to his brother- when it was time his son would wield it. All the while Radmir made to give the servant girl his son to keep safe while he spoke with his wife. It was not known if Radmir was ill, but in private words with his wife he spake of the future of the family- and the continued effort to restore hope to their line. Either through failing health, or upon finding out that his wife was Hyspian and therefore his son was “half-hyspian” Radmir suffered a heart attack following his wife’s departure from this earth. His final words are said to be: “Hyspian?- grahh ahhh-“ He was forty years of age. Death Poem: Murder, I did not Steal, I had not even thought Though my home remains in ash, And my enemies strike my people with their lash. Dearest GOD on high, if not your servant, what am I? To fight for a lost cause, to face servants of IBLEES claws? Such devotion I hold, alone, true. For my love was not for country, glory, or honor; It was for you.

She sends the ballot off before returning to her masonry, shaking her head and looking down as she walks.
  22. Namora's Journal Book for Journaling Day 1! :D ~~~ I’ve decided to go to the jungle, taking everything that I’d need: some protective gear, various tools, and some food to snack on! I had gone south to the more warmer climates like near Amanthine’s ocean. It’s not often I go around here often and I really should come by more, it's like there’s so much more colors here than back home. And the fruit- the fruit is SO GOOD! But back to what had brought me here in the first place, finding an imbalance and restoring it to where it should be! It was a bit of walking and a bit of riding, and it was getting a little warm so I had decided to stop by the sea and go for a swim. I told Dusty to watch our things as I left them by some shrubbery with my beloved cloak. And- A wonderful job Dusty did! Nothings gone, so all is well. To the important part, perhaps it was just a calling to me, and here it was! As I was below the cool waves, I was excited to see some of the colorful reefs, but I'd be surprised to find it quite duller than I had thought. There’d be a lot of algae just spreading across the rocks and coral, and the schools and families of fish were somewhat lacking than I had imagined as some lionfish swam about. My observations were made between breaths of air, maybe Dusty and I will go look around another section. I wonder how Renny, Eyla, and Maln are doing. Hopefully the soup doesn't all disappear, I still want a bowl. Day 4! ~~~ Dusty and I ended up going to multiple different sections of the ocean around the area, and each one had a varying amount of difference in sea creatures that’d go about and reef health. Something was wrong, clearly, I just had to figure out what was the cause of the slow and deterioration of the reefs and sea life. I think I'll have to spend some time at each one and travel between them all to monitor different spaces of ocean to really spot the difference, so I had chosen the four vastly different of each other, the most healthy compared to the more sick. Each in varying amounts of healthy and sick. I’ll continue jotting down what I find to keep my thoughts all in one place. Day 18! ~~~ As I sit here under this coconut tree, I’m going to list just the few things that are different between the reefs I’ve viewed. Biodiversity Algae growth Coral health Lionfish? The more biodiverse the reef was, it was much more apparent how much healthier it was in comparison to the ones with less fauna. More creatures meant more control over algae and that meant the coral’s health could be maintained. Though, the last one listed, ‘lionfish’, I had noticed that the more lionfish there were the less diverse it was. Which would make sense, lionfish are predator fish after all, but it seemed here there was nothing to make the lionfish a prey? I think I’ll have to do a bit more watching before I conclude the cause of the reef decay is lionfish. I think this is enough writing for one night, under the cloak I go under again. WRITE SOON!!!! Day 24! ~~~ I have no doubt about it, it must be the lionfish causing the slow loss of life in the reef! They keep eating and have nothing to eat them, most likely due to their spines that’d hurt any that would try to put their mouths over it. While the solution could be just to kill the lionfish on sight, it’d be too much for a single person to do as well as to dispatch each and every one to make an impact. I’ll have to keep making due with what I know until a more permanent solution can be found. I want some fruit. I wonder if that soup is still there? I should finish it if it's still there when I return eventually. Day 33! ~~~ There were no lies for how mundane this can be with the routine I have going on- but! I think I’m finding a new solution and key, the key being sharks. When I’d gone down to spear the lionfish, some curious sharks came to see what I was doing, distracted by them, I hadn't even realized the lionfish I had just hunted down was eaten by one of them until I looked towards my polearm! So I tested it again and again, and indeed the sharks could eat the lionfish, I just suppose it's a matter of getting them used to it. Either way, I might’ve found my solution that’d be good for the over population lionfish would be having. I will continue watching for any changes. Day 43! ~~~ As days pass, I think what I’ve been doing is working. The sharks are getting more confident in their own abilities to hunt lionfish without my aid, and the fish that eat the algae are slowly returning back to each reef that would be lacking in such diversity. If this continues, as I hope it to work, eventually I can step away, but for now, I think I’ll just keep watching for longer to see any of the effects. I can’t wait to tell Renny about my adventures here, I’m sure he’d like to hear of these ‘lion’ fish that don’t resemble a lion much besides its ‘mane’ like fins. Goodnight! Day 50! ~~~ Many days have passed and change is slowly happening! Can’t expect things to go along too quickly, but it’s best to see these things through. Not that I want to leave now, I’d love to see these reefs come back to its vivid and thriving life. I thought Dusty would be a bit more antsy since he goes around nearby as I do my business below the water, but I think the trips between the couple reefs we go about make up for it, it is a lot of back and forth commute, and many consecutive days at a beach just perceiving the under the sea events. A few more days Just a few more. Day 64! ~~~ It almost brings a tear to my face seeing the reefs return back to its lively self. The lionfish population would be well under control now with the sharks keeping it well at a level. I think it's about time I get going back home now, I’ll give a couple more looks around before fully leaving. A good time out, but I do miss my family, I wonder if they miss me too.
