I know this is your first time doing this, and it will increase in quality as you do more of these, but for next time, script it, give the interviewer a script he needs to read aloud. Tetake shots, make it as professional as the normal LotCBC.

I've actually been playing a Horen much longer then most of the current "Horens".

 

As per the lame remarks on quality, These people are volunteers... not paid youtube geniuses. You try to do better or lay off. This is a perfect pilot episode to show the basics of what they planned for the show. Being negative and not showing support is a great way to discourage the MT from making videos not only that but... you sound like brats. 

 

I'm really over the negativeness the vocal minority has, If you cant say something nice.... don't say anything. You have feed back? Learn to say it would sounding pretentious and discouraging everyone around you. 

 

If you want to learn how to give proper feedback... I'll make a thread, its clearly over due anyways.

I want to see Tythus(Really badly), Freya(My favorite GM), and maybe Cappy just for laughs. (Might be interesting to have him talk about frost witches and how they are doing. I haven't been seeing them as frequently as I used to.) Also, doing two staff members at one time might be cool too.

you should do player interviews, like the availer thing of player of the week/month, whatever.

This was awful. We were all thinking it, somebody has to say it. Sorry if I get everybody a little mad because their video didn't work out. The audio was not very good, the overall quality of the questions asked was bad, and the fact that I was cringing half way through the video is not a good thing. 

 

If you didn't like it, you didn't like it. You can't start talking for everyone collectively. As Rhia said, it's pretentious.

 

Now, the audio wasn't the best because not everyone we are going to interview is going to have the best microphones are they? And we aren't going to invite them to a studio to make their interview, that'd be silly. I'll get to your point on questions soon.

 

If this is going to work, ask the important questions, the stuff that matters not "What do you think about edgies.. hehehe. My character is edgy." Ask important stuff like "When are we going to see the release of the North that has been promised for the longest time?" "Can you give us an estimate for when Teamspeak will be back up?" "What's the current state of Nexus?" "When will mines be reimplemented?"

 

So you want me to interrogate the GMs and Admins? No. I already do that for LotC Report to get some info on updates. If you want to know these things, watch the LotC Report. This is supposed to be a more relaxed 'get to know the staff' show. Rhia couldn't answer plenty of those questions anyway without asking someone else of the team.

 

This was just pathetic and I KNOW that our Media Team is better than this, at least it was. Also, bring people that we want to hear from on, not random GMs based on who knows what. I'd much rather hear from Urasept or Tythus, who seem to be doing nothing all the time, to hear what they are actually doing and maybe tell us (the playerbase) what they have actually been up to. 

 

Goodluck in the next few videos, I hope they're nothing like this one. 

 

Maybe it's pathetic because it didn't suit your needs for information. Some people might not think that Rhia is a random GM. In fact, I'm using a randomiser to pick out staff so that there is no preference. We would have interviewed an admin first, but the microphone was broken, so we couldn't. Again, watch the LotC Report.

 

It would also be preferable that you don't use this thread to start complaining about apparent inactivity. Urasept and Tythus are both actively in the Media Team chat and surely in all the others. They need to interact with the playerbase more, maybe? But this is not the place to argue.

To the first question, hey, I was a bit nervous, first time I actually am on one of my projects.

To the second, I tried to be more casual and cool about it, but again, nervous.

And to the last but not least, to animate every episode we do of these would be near impossible, focus on the AUDIO not the VIDEO, we didn't have to have any sort of video to be honest.

 

I find it very... dull.

 

It is a nice concept, but a less static video, higher audio quality and some soft background music may change the whole atmosphere.

Also, the questions should be made more interesting. Also, I would like to know Rhia more as "viewer". I know that she is a GM, but something more personal that may explain her "worse side", or why she did that back then, to clear the mist between the staff & player.

 

Once again I must state that we do not have control over the audio quality of our guest speakers.

 

On the question side, I think that's quite an interesting take. We did try to get more casual questions in, and I thank you for that idea of asking about their 'bad side'... I'll be sure to ask questions like these in the next episode~

Tetake shots, make it as professional as the normal LotCBC. This would stop the absolutely cringeworthy stuttering.

 

Talk shows aren't scripted. Scripted questions are horrid especially in an open response show! It's a half improvised script... Retakes break the flow in this case... it's not a professional interrogation program.

I believe they were being more blunt with their suggestions than "rude". Relax. Suggestions are a good thing. Yeah, the way people are giving them may seem a bit rude, but at least they're giving suggestions. I'd rather they give rude suggestions to give the MT something to improve on than give no suggestions at all, you know?

Having no suggestions leaves no chance for improvement. People will not always be as kind and friendly with their words as you wish, but it doesn't mean that their opinions are null and void. Don't take the suggestions so personally, Rhia. But I kindly suggest that you keep an open mind to the suggestions of others in this sort of matter, as improvement is always possible, aye? :)
