Warclaim On Malinor; The Conclave Rises

 Share

Recommended Posts

Today the Conclave has shown its true face to the people of Malinor... a face that I, along with the High Council, have seen since we discovered its conception. It is a face of greed, manipulation, and a thirst for power... and in all those things, it is the face of their so-called Justicar. He stole the land with the help of the Sky Gods and their magic regions, he built his walls and had them alter the landscape to suit his needs, and now at last he has declared war upon the Princedom of Malinor, a crime that is cursed in the eyes of any mali, regardless of creed. I would have allowed the Conclave to stay peacefully... Indeed, I was willing to let them stew in their Sky God spawned quartz houses. But this... this is a crime of high treason, disgusting and reeking of envy. This is a crime of spite, of hatred, and of disgruntled minor officials seeking an avenue to power heedless of the blood of innocent Elves.

((We will not be accepting or denying this warclaim until Kalameet and the Council sit down with an unbiased GM or Admin and discuss terms, location, and whatnot. You have me on Skype, start negotiating.))

((Oi, I dug out that dang darn mountain range to be un-jumpable by hand, what are you talking about.))

Valmir listens to the words spoken by the new prince and shakes his head thinking to himself of the false accusations made by yet another invisible council member of the nation to this day he still loves.  He had spent the previous fifty years of his life inside of the nation serving not only as a soldier but also as a friend and servant of the people and had built one of if not the most successful Malinor towns to date out of love for his people.

He looks down to his scared hands as he hears the claims of the sky god granted walls and homes that he has spent the past six months working on.  He has neglected his daughter, his adopted son, and his long time lover.  Disappearing yet again to spend time working for his race instead of his own flesh and blood.  A flash of anger courses through his veins before he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and thinks.

"These disappearing leaders know not what they speak of, they have not seen the endless days I or my friends have endured to build these walls, or the endless hours spent in the mines searching for this beautiful stone.  I have spent all of my personal resources to even build any aspect of this town as others have.  This man only speaks out of spite and ignorance without even taking the time to confront a worker that his leadership has alienated."

"I pray only that my family, friends, and the workers who have toiled for over a year to make a dream a reality may be safe from those who's heads have been topped with their own rears."

A large falcon standing at two feet tall lands at the entrance of Kalameet's tent, carrying a note. It waits for entrance to the tent calmly. It is obviously here without contempt, and with friendliness. Upon entry to the tent, it easily hops up next to Kalameet, and drops the note. It is once more, obviously made out to him, as a beautifully detailed picture of his face is there, smiling back at him. Written below that is an elegant "K" to signify his name, encrusted with gold on its outer edges.

Upon inspecting the note, you seem to be slight washed over with a sense of happiness and friendliness, regardless of the impending actions.

It reads: "Dear Kalameet of the Conclave, I contact you via my falcon bearing a gift to show my support. You have not heard much hide no hair of me, but I know you. My name is Serenity, and I have been gathering tidbits of information from the sidelines of Mali'nor. You have my complete and utter support in your choices, need me regardless. The children of Malin have been unequal and have been impeded upon by this 'High Council,' and it is time they are disbanded. Please, from one older Mali to a younger, I ask that you try your best to not spill blood. If it does come to that, I am at a simple bird away, and you will have my set of skills and expertise. Choose not to take these offers, it is your choice. Just know that I am here.

-Serenity."

Stitched into the elegant writing below is a golden necklace which ends in an emerald in the shape of an elegant "K," the golden chains curling around it to show the shape, but support it around the neck easily.

((You've just obtained great respect from an elf who's been in the woods of Malinor, listening to travelers as they walked by. Awesome! :) While you might not need a warrior who can obtain information easily, she and I are here in case of anything. Just send me a PM, or add me on Skype at joshjr1996. I'n here.))

You soon receive a letter in return. The parchment is decorated in beautiful writing, and it seems to almost glow a faint gray hue.

"Greetings and good fortunes, I have received your letter and I accept you assistance with open arms. Also, I assure you that I would have gone to such means to attack if it was not for the greater good; Their Princess Titania had infact came to my settlement and threaten my Mali people with sieges and the like.

The best defense is offense, and thus I will thrust myself in defence of my home and people.

Yours truly, High Justicar Kalameet Izalith"

On a trip to the New Malinor Tavern, Lark hears the talk of war in Malinor, an elf by the name of Kalameet. He rolls the name over in his head a few times as he walks into the tavern and orders a whiskey. Listening to the chatter, the Kalameer fellow has found support amongst a few. As Lark sips his whiskey he wonders if the elf can find access to arms. He finishes his whiskey and takes out a small piece of paper and begins writing on it.

"To the one known as Kalameet,

I do not know who you are, but I like what you do. Should you require arms and armor, come to Kralta and we can work something out provided you are not hostile to Oren. "

After he finished writing he asks for a bit of ink which the tavern surprisingly had. He dips his left palm in the ink and presses it against the paper, He chuckles as he imprints the paper with his blacksmithing symbol, wondering if people have even spoken of him so far from Oren.

((ET squad!))

(( I am being told there is some confusion on how invasion wars work. You can't just have one war and claim victory over the whole nation. The first battle must be held on the closest adjacent territory to you that is owned by Malinor. After that it is a battle for the next adjacent territory and so forth on to each individual territory in that nation. A war of invasion was not meant to be easy because realistically it isn't. Its many bloody battles over small areas of land one after another until they are all taken or one side goes kaput ))

((Other than New Malinor itself, the only other territories are Lenniel and Darkhaven (Which are staying out of the war) and then Old Malinor but that is owned by the antagonist.))

Fydizh Sandru roars, holding up the severed head of Titania. "DIZ WUT WI TINK UV DAH TWIGGIEZ!"

The Orcs around him continued through Malinor, killing or capturing whoever they saw.

The raiding had begun.

Wasn't perma-death, just incase someone got the wrong idea.

Then you are being told falsities ember.

I, myself, am apart of a Skype group with the two leaders discussing everything and I have been informed what is happening.

I guarantee you that this thread (or a new one) will be edited with some slight changes.

Kalameet completely understands the rules of invasion and the only actual town in their way would be Leniell and Darkhaven is far out of the way for it to even be considered.

As it stands they have every right to go for the city Malinor, but they cannot take over the nation Malinor as Darkhaven (even Leniell?) stands as part of said nation.

Though, I will be active and overseeing all of the conflict to make sure everything runs smoothly.
