"Damen walks into the deep forests of Malinor. He yells out to every elf, asking a question

"Why is the elvish race the worst race of all time in making an organized nation"

Thank You

A dwarf waddles past, smelling of booze and mushrooms. He turns to the one shouting, and says: "It's because they haven't purchased any McDwarf brand shoes!" *he points to his leather shoes, before turning and facing the man* "McDwarf Shoes, Shoes done right."

Ducktooth stares at damen, squeezing a glass cup. The cup slowly cracking in his hands splinters of the glass easily squiggling deep inside his soft flesh tearing into his muscle, drips of blood beginning to seep from the side of his hand as the glass cup sniggles inside of his hand. The glass fragments, slowly crawling up his wrist slithering beneath his fragile flesh tearing his veins and arteries up as they tunnel deeper up his arm. The bulge on his skin slowly climbing up towards his throat before Ducktooth's jaw drops, blood spilling from his tongue as the glass slowly forms together into a small human looking creature its brittle mouth uttering the words "Its a mystery"

Art innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnhales.

"Because everyone is too busy being individualist nutbags to get off their asses and actually work. Too absorbed in chasing after whores and stuff than getting a job, joining a guard or doing anything remotely productive. There's no one invested in the nation. That and a bunch of other nations keep pissing on it.

The problem is internal and external. But the Elves will never get their **** together unless you get the **** off their backs. It's not ENTIRELY the fault of the White Rose, Orcs, or other YEEHAW LETS MASSACRE BECAUSE FUN group's fault either though.

In Oren, joining the military or being part of the workforce is an honour, in Elf lands it's considered a chore. That's your other big problem. NO ONE WANTS TO PUT EFFORT IN.

My name is Artimec Camoryn and I have devoted the last decade-ish into getting jobs out there, building a military and making a functional society in my elven town. Y'all other elves need to hop on the workforce boat with me else we'll keep sinking."

((tl:dr, stop playing special snowflakes, stop playing super villains. play a normal character, get a job and contribute to society. that's how you fix elf lands.))

I've been both outside and inside the circle and I will tell you exactly why:

  1. At the end of Aegis, the elven nation was cut into three. The high elf, Mori'quessir, and Malinor. Most of the good people of Aegis -malinor left the nation then, playing among the Mori or high elves. This severally divided malinor
  2. In Aegis, the wardens, the largest military had been disbanded. There had been animosity between them and the druids, and the high council favored the droods. So the Wardens were combated by their own high council, and sought to remove it. They were then disbanded and replaced with the Vanguard, a military that never really rose above 10. The timing of this disbanding was quite poor, as at the beginning of asulon the nation could not effectively defend itself
  3. Malinor was left with about seven people (As all high elves would go with the snarkies and any dark elf would go with the Mori, because they're just awesome)
  4. The nation of seven people was, understandably, unable to defend itself and had been driven out of their unique nation starting location. Their wardens had been replaced with something that never worked properly and were easily tossed around.
  5. The population would hardly ever grow, as the staff assign the elves in the most obscure location possible. Causing population to remain at a stagnant seven, which means they were an easy target for attacks(Attacks drove of any newbs that came)
  6. The people of asulon malinor, the people who remained after the divisions, were the "left-overs" after a nation exodus, and thus would create poor decisions
  7. The actions of the leftover council (With the help of rp that leaked into the ooc mindset of the mog-men) would give the elven race a eternal stigma that would stick to any player who sought to play an elf. This caused no true people of intuition to aid the elf-nation
  8. When the population did rise, in anthos, it was the mass of people avoiding the strong pvp-oriented nations. These people were casual(Not that anything is wrong with that) players, who simply wanted to rp and have fun every now and then.
  9. These individuals did nothing to aid the elf society. They would come online, rp a few minutes, call the leaders corrupt, then go offline
  10. When good leaders do come into play, they were left with managing a nation on their own. No one sought out to help the elf nation(only bring it down) There was no people willing to help any leader by either the false-stigma of being an elf or simply they didn't want to. It was a nation of few people serving many, who were the equivalent of leaches. Giving nothing, taking much.
  11. People began to take base their elves off of other definitions of elf.(As honestly, who wants to be a nature elf?) One elf-type would establish both rp and ooc animosity for these individuals who sought to redefine what an elf was. They would bicker amongst one another.

In a simplified version:

  • Poor decisions were made by the staff caused extreme division and an extreme decrease in playerbase
  • Leaders of the old Asulon council weren't all that smart and did dumb things, making every elf-nation rper appear as one of these
  • People continued to take their own version of elf and would battle the other versions in an rp and ooc sense. More division came
  • No one wanted to work for an elf nation, although they all demanded it
  • With every step forward taken, nations would bring them three steps back
  • Elf people continue to bicker about their own elf-type and divide further

When I was a prince, I saw this as my biggest proplem: The playerbase does not take part in the nation

I had to log much more hours than I should of, wiping everyone's butt, while building their homes, while also having to balance a plate on my nose. While I also had to deal with my own life and university. Not many people were willingly to effectively help and take some of the load.

I can only see one solution

The majority of the population needs to actively take part in government (from guard, politics, farming, BUILDING, ect.) A single person, without a life(As there will be a lot of work. He should preferably be liked by all these elf types), needs to take the reins over ALL elves and create a nation were the player base is involved in the nation. The divisions need to be mended. People need to no longer stigmatize elf rpers in an ooc manner for the very stupidest of reasons.

Socari blinks a few times, his head cocking.

"Well... perhaps it is due to their constant bombardment from the other nations. Or, perhaps it has to do with Kalameet separating the Elven culture more so. Oh, oh! Or maybe, just maybe, it has to do Oren's violent influences and people coming to live among us."

Socari huffs, rolling his eyes.

"And aside from all of that, we are still much better than you all at heart... at least TRUE elves are."
