A "how To" For All Those Anti Or Bad Pvpers

Hello LOTC, Kipples here bringing you my first

"guide" so to speak. Down to business.

It has dawned on me that there is a /huge/

amount of hate for PVP suprisingly, so I thought I might

give some tips (Best as I can) to all those RP defaulters

out there. First off, PvP is fun, you just need to give it

a chance. A lot of you would argue you have, and that it is not fun

being wrecked  when you can't pvp so good and you

have no chance in PVP fights. But the fact is that currently,

and I assume for the foreseeable future, PVP is the

default fighting mechanic on this server. So I hate

to put is harsh and blunt but you should just suck it up

and get good. It is no good just complaining and crying

because you lost your Rp items and you have to run back home.

As long as you are there, you are vulnerable to PVP.

How do I get good I hear you ask?

Follow Kipples three simple tricks and you will

find yourself on the road to winning PVP fights!!!

Tactic 1: Strafing

Strafing is one of the easiest ways to improve your PVP.

Start running circles around your opponent using the left or right arrow key instead of charging straight forward. You will find yourself getting more

hits and a better edge depending on how good your opponent is.

Remember to focus your cursor on the opponent as much as you can

whilst continuing to strafe them. It is harder for them to spin

around and hit you, especially if they are the ones on the inside

of the Strafe circle.

Tactic 2: Critical hits

Criticals are an east step to inflicting more damage

to your opponent, it does a little more which ultimately

boosts the chances of you winning, it is best to incorporate

crits with Strafing, this way you will be making life much

harder for the opponent. You critical hit by jumping, and as you

come down you hit. You know you have crit hit when

a partical effect appears.

Tactic 3: Bow kite

When you find yourself on the back foot of a fight and

you are caught running away. If you are equipped with a bow

and or gold staff, a very effective tactic is to turn, as you turn draw you bow,

and release (Or shoot) you will take at least 1 - 2 1/2 hearts which

makes a lot of difference if you are choosing to turn. This trick

is especially effective if you bring the opponent to water.

Well they are the three easiest tricks I can think of to

improve you PVP. My advice is hop on us.oc.tc or

thedarkage.nl to practice these techniques if

you are looking to improve your skills. If you are good at PVP

then ignore this post.

Hopefully this will help some people out.

P.S: If you win, a little trick is to gloat.

Would you reccomend using a mouse for PvP? I have a laptop, so I use the touch pad for PvP.

Yes, increases your mobility so you can aim and strafe easier, but a mouse with a cord

Pvp is still default, so people have to deal with PVP.

Fair enough, but in my opinion there is enough PVP on an RP server then their should be.. This is just going to spur people on *shrugs*

I like how a form of combat/RP needs to be dealt with instead of enjoyed. : )

Breaking News: Rp Default Switched To PVP Default.

For the record, the majority of RP defaulters prefer RP over PvP fights not because they’re bad at PvPing or afraid to lose their items, but because they simply prefer roleplaying. Also, plenty of players have poor internet connection or use a laptop touchpad which severely reduce their ability to PvP. Just something to keep in mind while telling other players to ‘”just suck it up and get good”. While PvP is indeed the server default, it’s also important everybody enjoy the occasional fight, and RPing may be the only way for certain players to have fun in combat. Just my perspective on the matter, the guide part was very nice though~
