     I've been trying to write stories over the past few years, but it's always hard. The hardest part about writing about characters and coming up with stories is the nostalgia about Lotc. I remember my days as Sir Wyvernos and the times I had in Alras and Aegis, I remember the eastern sands of Asulon with the Subudai and Gaius Marius, I remember spin for the win aka Spinzir, I remember the Foa and the Alrasian military, I remember taking an arrow to the knee..Ura <.<, I remember that Tythus will always have the best avatars.

 
I remember the trading company and mail service I remember all Alrasians, yes all, Orenians, Dwarves, Elves, and Orcs you too, I remember the Undead and Ascended, I remember my brother in the wubs and dubs Lym, I remember my time in Elysium and also booty bay, I remember the forum moderators and Skype chat, I remember the Alras chat and Gm chat, I remember teamspeak and it's music parties, I remember the kick wars, and I remember my meme battles, I remember Alan/Darrian selling me my first house and teaching me to be a Gm, I remember mediocregamer giving me my first job and  knighting me along with the high council, I remember these things like they were done right before my eyes.
 
I remember the details of the rooms we were in, the skins we garbed ourselves in, the characters, the people behind the screen that made the experience come alive. I realize now that I can't write, no new stories nor stories of those days, the new wouldn't be as good as the real experience and to retell those old stories wouldn't do them justice. "I remember when" is all I leave, it's all that's necessary when looking back. I remember when...and I reminisce about those times. Do I miss them? Sure, but the stories and experiences I've had I've locked within, I keep them with me and they inspire me. To write? No, but to dream, to look beyond a simple story and see living breathing characters, to see how far the rabbit hole goes and not regret it. It inspires me to tell this. To make a statement now as a lasting reminder that this meant something. That whether Lotc stays or goes it wasn't and isn't just a server. It's a full-fledged community, online and integrated into a developing world.

 

This is a reminder for me just as much as it is a reminder for you all, it isn't the forum, it isn't Minecraft, it isn't even the lore, it's the community that makes the fun and experience what it is. It's us weaving our stories together that gives value to the lore, it's our dedication to a quality roleplay server that makes the forum significant, and it's the drive and passion for developing roleplay that makes minecraft's implementations meaningful. It's bittersweet to end this stream of thought this way but I won't be on the server nor returning to it. This is not to say I don't want to, but rather that a new generation of Lotcer's are at the helm, this is their time to learn, experience, and make memories. Like passing the mantle to the next guard I go leaving this write-up as I said as a reminder to my self just as to all of you. So to the old farts, new veterans, and those yet to put their feet on the ground, remember community first, enjoy experiences, respect staff, laugh often, troll lightly, and have fun.
