To Those Wishing To Learn Magic.

A weird colored parchment is placed on a noticeboard near the Cloud Temple, holes on the four corners where nails are passed throught, bent over the parchment to keep it in place, and forced into the wood. It's contents may be considered fairly evil to most, but as soon as anyone would try to rip the parchment out, they would find that it would not tear. Others would probably try to burn it, but the parchment would not catch fire. It is written in bright glowing red ink, catching the attention of many who pass through.

Seeking Magic Apprentices

Today you shall not find those parchments of a gentleman looking for a master in magic to teach them, but the reverse. I am looking for apprentices to learn the arts of the magic I hold, but beware, that many might find this magic to be of unholy powers and evil ways, thought such are simply subjective to one or another. For it's creation, it is required to do some tipicaly evil considered activities, nothing more than what all nations and guardmen of a city would do. To some it will be plain evil, impossible to be done with the morals they hold. To others it will be perfect for what they do on an average day. To others it will be simply what it needs to be done for the end result. To others it is an alternative or added value to what must be done.

I do not want random illiterates or madmen to be my apprentices, this magic is an art, only those that fit some requirements may be ever able to master it. As such I will chose not all those that would like to learn the magic, you will have to have some requisits. Only one is fully needed to do this magic, know how to write.

Of course just knowing that will do you no good, and soon you would be abandoned as my disciple. You must be extremelly well versed in language and knowledge. If you can finds ways to prove others wrong simply by words, you have more qualifications. If you can use the words of others to your goals, such are useful tactics to get you further in this magic. And of course, you will have to be able to inflict pain on others.

So it's time for the first contact. Respond to this parchment, and make me wish to have you as an apprentice. Write and convince me, state your values, your performances, your mindset. A simple "I wish to be your apprentice" will result in the burning of your response, so intrige me, make me wish to meet you, make me wish to surrender my knowledge to you.

Good luck

*Holds the parchment up to the light as she straightens the creases out. She then reads through the parchment pondering amongst her thoughts for a moment. After a few minutes of thinking she takes a piece of parchment of her own and begins to write:*

"I Tricia Horen, also known as Triss hereby declare my interest to learn the arts of magic. It has been something I have had on my mind for some time, I have studied books however I seem to lack the ability to do such arts. Maybe with a teacher I can be successful and entirely wish to come study and learn the art of magic."

Verthius giggles slightly as he posts a response
"Me and my sister will be lovely students, alone we both have our flaws but together we cover them with each others strengths. My sister is an adept hunter currently with the thirst of biological knowledge claiming each kill in the name of her research. I am a simple craftsman who can forge anything you can provide a picture to, clothing is also not an issue with myself around. The both of us respect the art of magic but have never gotten the chance to be shown anything that really caught our interests, perhaps you could show us something worthwhile with your art? And if you do we'll be sure to show you what we're worth."

Signed Verthius and Adeline

*A hooded figure comes up and looks at the poster.*

State your values:

I know much of magic and pursue knowledge to its fullest degree.

Your performances:

I can perform magic of many kinds. I can not do backflips though. I can barely use a sword and I am extremely weak compared to my kin. I like to write and spend much of my time scribing. I can blend into a crowd by not sticking out like a swore thumb.

Your mindset:

Some what crazed by the prospect of learning more. Assertive in certain issues and quiet in others.

*A Letter is posted under the parchment it is wrapped in a gold string*

"I am maletone, I seek to learn what you seek to teach. I am used to magic and know how to write quite well. I am not an ordinary mad man. I set myself to be whipped to show my strength. I laughed when my lip was cut off to show I felt no fear of the men that did so. I do not back down from a challenge and will fight to my last dying breath. I show my strength in the most painful ways possible such as when I was whipped. I am a air evocationist. I fight for whichever side offers me the best. Not which one I am loyal too. I seek to learn your magic and I hope you consider me for such. If accepted I shall find ye...ye shall not find me I also strive for the most knowledge of anything I can possibly attain - Maletone"

*Under the note is a signature it looks to be possibly signed in blood*

A smirk falls upon pale lips as she recognizes the writing.

"While you may think of me as not ready, the magic I wish to learn may well be close to my grasp. Sacrifices of flesh must be given to further my learning and as such have studied long and hard. While what it is I wish to learn may still be just out of my reach, you know my desire to learn. Arts of another nature are something I have studied but have no real desire to learn. The hunt may soon be once more on this flesh but until said time, the caged wolf will seek out new hunting tactics to find the one who sparked its interest. You may take me as a student, or you may leave me to learn on my own. But it might be more beneficial to learn from a master than experiment as a novice.

Signed

A letter is pinned. It lacks the fine ink and paper they use, rather crude for someone of a poor descent.

"I am Zemophrenis, the worshipper of Iblees. I do not bear a high name, I am not rich. I do not seek to be patted on the back for worshipping the "Creator", a deity that time and time has proven his unworthinesss with his accursed creations. I am not some noble or one already with magic, who wants to widen their range of how much they can blast miscreantss.

I am one who seeks out and hungers the glory of Iblees and his divine beauty onto my unworthy being, I am one who desires to find out the Branches of his Will, learn their secrets, and use it to advance his hold on the world. I am one who hungers for such knowledge. I, Zemophrenis, am not blessed with nobility, nor wealth. I am not blessed with good looks nor luck. Look upon me favorably and I shall deliver your enthusiasm with mine, tenfold."

All posters and parchments have been removed and ripped, leaving only a few sentances on them to be responded to. The names in each one taken off. ((don't remove the posts thought, you can edit them to say the parchment or letter or poster was changed if you wish, but don't change them.))

"hereby declare my interest to learn the arts of magic."

More, MORE! More needs done to become my apprentice, but your name is what saves you for now. You shall receive a letter with more questions, more information will be needed for me to accept you.

Your response has been sent, and you will not become an apprentice.

"we both have our flaws but together we cover them with each others strengths."

Exelent! This is what I hoped to find! You cover each other's flaws, we shall see. Your response has intrigued me, we shall see how far you rise as apprentices.

Your mindset:

Some what crazed by the prospect of learning more. Assertive in certain issues and quiet in others.

While not much stands out, you are already a mage, I shall contact you with more questions, perhaps a task.

*A Letter is posted under the parchment it is wrapped in a gold string*

"I am not an ordinary mad man."

You are not an ordinary man, but what are you, I will have to see. You shall receive a letter, perhaps a task, as you appear more as a mad man to me, than one interested in this art.

"While you may think of me as not ready, the magic I wish to learn may well be close to my grasp."

Yes, one that tries to mimic what I do! I shall ask for you to show me, if it's anything of praise, you shall receive a master to help you continue. Don't disapoint me.

"the worshipper of Iblees."

In this day and time, one who follows the Dark Lord still. I wonder what you have to show me. You are one of my apprentices now.

The simple parchment after looking at it a second time appears not to be what it read before. Perhaps the person was seeing htings. Or remembering names of hte past. Or perhaps it was tampered with? The clean cut parchment writes in a somewhat sloppy writing "My name is Charles Ebbfoot, and I am curious as to what exactly you have to offer. I was once taught by a man the simple ways of simple telekinesis though you may find me in the grand city of Kaldonia. I truely wish to speak more upon this."

The hooded figure smiles darkly as she leaves a new note, this time on the flesh of an animal, the note written in blood.

"Of what I have seen, there is much to learn. The art of which this is written, is something left to be desired. While I may not be worthy, I learn from mistakes made. To sign that of flesh in blood, gives a new sense of power. When deals are broken and hearts bled, only those willing to take risks will rise. For this I sign but with a drop of blood, to show my desire."

The flesh parchment is rolled and tied with a red ribbon. It is signed once more by "the rose wolf" though this time is blood.

A simple parchment is left near the initial note.

"I Beranabus Whitewolf would not like to bevome ones apprentice. Rather am unsure if you are truthful in your words. You state you wish to teavh a student yet not speak you name, nor tje art you wish to teach. So Iinvute yo to tea in my alrasian home. If you wish to converse. Theories or prove you are truely the master you state you are. Feel free to stop by for food and drink. - B.B Whitewolf "

((Please excuse the various grammatical mistakes, this. Was written on my phone.))

Beranabus, I know of your name. To receive such a letter from you is... quite expected. I'm afraid to say that you shall not be meeting me for a chat, but by letters we may if you wish. One day one of my apprentices may come to have some tea with you, we shall see.

"My name is Zeno. I am a philosopher, you may have heard of my theory about the paradoxes of motion. I feel I will be a great student due to the fact that I am good with words. I have multiple theories and ones that I can share with you soon hopefully. I write  books and I was forced to lie to my parents as a child, convince them I had not wrong in my heart, but we are all sinners. Please accept me as your own." -Zeno

A letter is left in reply to the parchment. This letter is burnable, it is capable of being torn asunder, but what is unique about this letter is the beautifully glowing words upon the page. This parchment was clearly enchanted.

My name is Kalameet Izalith, I am considered a Master of my arts amongst my peers, I have vast knowledge's on countless Arcane magics, and my knowledge only grows with the coming days. Although I am not satisfied, as I thirst for more. I thirst to understand, to create logic where none lied before. I generally act as a teacher, a mentor for wayward mages. I learn from my students, as they learn from me. But I now seek my own Teacher, I'd like to learn from you, as you would learn from me. But I do not seek to be your student, no. I seek to be your apprentice. A student is taught what they are given, an apprentice learns what you know. And I assure you, I am very interested in what you know.

So, if I would be so bold to say; I will be as beneficial to you, if not more, then you will be for me. I assure you, if you'd please me with your time and knowledge, I'd offer my own vast knowledge in exchange. I'll be pleased to speak to you in the coming days.

-Kalameet Izalith
