Elven Subforums

It really would be nice to have separate sub-forums. Let the Wood Elves, Dark Elves, High Elves and Snow Elves each have their own sub-forums, so that topics can be more efficiently organised. Silly having to search through the cluttered Elven RP forum if you're looking for something specifically to do with Wood Elves.

Then the Elven RP section can be for events, notices and anything else that affect all Elves. Dark Elves and Wood Elves are growing more functional now, and if the Varsele board got its own subforum, I don't see why those groups can't. Not like it actually got used.

Only idea there I don't care about there is the Snow Elf related ones. They're making their own threads regardless of who does and doesn't recognize them, so may as well have those threads tucked away in a Snow Elf specific spot, where they're not cluttering the rest up.

Personally I think the rest of the Elves are just mad since Snelves got a sub forum and that they hate us for no reason

The High Elves have their forum for High Elven things; and with that forum they also have a way of attracting even more players to the High Elves. The wood elves and the dark elves can't properly constitute a group without that same benefit. With the sub forums we would be able to boost Dark Elven and Wood Elven activity; and pull all those stray sub race elves into the group.

If the snow elves want a 'princedom' sub forum; it should be made in the Dwarven RP forums. They aren't a sub race in themselves. As you can see; High Elf sub forum is a… High Elf sub forum; not a nation one.

Ehhhh... Debatably untrue. Random high elves don't use it.

I always thought subforums were given out to groups that made a buggerload of posts. Not based on nation-status. And what would it hurt to give the DERPs and the WERPs a subforum too? I can imagine it might be a pain for the web-guys to make it, but c'mon! Snelfs get one but not the poor ol' darkies and barkies? They've been pining after them for ages!

Perhaps if they made 100 threads a month advertising their Sillumiran Ivae'fenn...

Subforums are an organisation method, not a trophy or a badge of subracial status. There's no parity of fairness issue, you have a subforum if you have need of one and if you're only going to put a few posts in there you don't.

If you look at the Orcs and Dwarves, they have their main forum and then a subforum for clan posts. The humans have their main forum, the forum for the Adunians and a subforum for informational "lore" posts about the Third Empire. The Halflings have no subforums because they don't need one, the single forum fulfills all their needs.

The High Elves make a lot of threads so they have a subforum. If you piled them into the main forum their threads would be in competition with the other elves and it would all get very confusing. Them having their own forum makes everything clearer.

As for the other two official elven subraces and the de facto elven subrace, they should have subforums if they're going make use of them. I think keeping Snow Elven content separate is a good idea because it's very different to the main elven stuff, but they should only have a forum if they're going to use it. That means it shouldn't be locked as it is right now so nobody can post there: snow elves should be able to RP in the snow elf RP forum! If it's only going to contain stickies it doesn't need its own forum.

Wood and Dark Elves should have a forum if they're going to use it. If it's just there for the sake of "they've got one why haven't we" then it's useless. But if they can demonstrate that they could geniunely do with one, I don't see why they shouldn't. Same with Hanseti: if Hanseti are going to use it, then what's the harm? If they're not, there's no point in a three thread subforum.

3 topics, hmmm.

In conclusion, we the wood elves would like and appreciate a sub forum. And if the criteria for getting one is actually using it, then I can promise you we will, as we already have twice as many necessary threads up as the snow elves.

We just got the sub forum and atm we cant post new topics so stop crying please

You are willing to compare the Snow Elven thread, that is LOCKED, to what the wood elves have? The Wood Elves have been here for like years, and none have approached the staff about a subforum or anything like that. We got our forum ONE DAY AGO. We have also been here, what, since November?

Keep the conversation civil.

The other subraces have not 'never asked for a subforum until now' it has been an on-going desire. The only reason the snow elves were brought up is to point out the fairness or unfairness of the situation.

Wood Elves have been around since Aegis. We've been around for a few months. Also, the Princedom of Fenn sub-forum isn't allowing us to put threads up yet. When it does get back up, we have many more threads to create. So please, stop complaining when you don't know the full story.

This autonomous group of wood elves have existed for a grand total of 2-3 weeks and have 7 related threads to their name 2x the amount of yours in half the time. Your Aegis argument is invalid.

We would still like a sub forum.

Get back on topic, please. How about discuss any reasons you think the wood or dark elves should not have a subforum, as so far it has mostly been arguments for why the snow elves should.

Why is this such a huge issue? This is why Elves have a bad rep, OOCly. There's a thread made to allow for subforums, a perfectly harmless addition, to the elven role-play forum. Instead people find you guys are tearing each other down and carrying on like people actually care on whether or not you win this internet argument.

It's asking for subforums, not a huge deal, guys.
