Please use this thread to give feedback on the new profession system.

Feedback should be helpful even if you don't like the changes. Replies to this thread should look something like this:

"I really dislike the new profession system, having to deal with ___ really restricts RP... I wish it was more like ______."

"I really like the new profession system but I found a bug and or think _____ would be a good fix"

If you dislike the changes and have nothing helpful to add other than your discontent, please refrain from posting... your post will be hidden and you may receive a warn. We are looking to make changes for 4.0 and feedback should be made with that in mind.

Be aware that we know the help for this plugin is not fully fleshed out but it will be for 4.0.

I really like the professions but some of them are broken, I believe.

I like it, except for the fact that when you do other things the other skills go down.

It's still very broken, so I can't test much. I see not much difference between the levels of skill in lumberjacking, all seems about the same in the first 3 levels.

Farming NEEDS to change, I haven't got a single bit of wheat from breaking the wheat since I started. As I said in another thread, professions should make normal MC better, not restrict it so much, making bread is extremelly hard and it should be the easiest things to do.

Chef skill isn't working, which was something I really wanted to try thought.

I'm currently working as a blacksmith. It consists of sitting near 6 or 7 anvils, waiting patiently for things to complete. I can't leave the area because it messes with the countdown area. I can't roleplay, unless I want to spend 2 hours roleplaying *smashes hammer against the piece of metal*.

It cripples roleplay. It's disgusting - if I wanted to grind I'd go play a MMO.

I love professions. I love it, please keep it, but certainly not as-is. It has kinks, namely that it's really hard to level crafting-related professions like leatherworking above 0 and far too easy to become a level 100 miner. I'm not certain if that's a challenge aspect, but it makes mining/lumberjacking utterly worthless and forces people who want to become smiths to devote their entire life to mundane crafting.

You can't farm pumpkins until you're an adept farmer? Seriously farming needs to change.

Its unusual that the staff don't know how to work the plug in that they imputed, is there anyway to check our profession ' stats ' ? And how many times do you have to do something before you level up?

I can't figure out how to make a /training/ stick so its confusing me and making me dislike the new way the plugin is, its not very user friendly >.<

Farming needs to be changed somehow. I don't see the logic behind "since you're not high enough in farming you cannot carry a pumpkin and your wheat normally disappears into thin air". Perhaps change it to the higher level you are, the more you get from crops? I just dot understand needed to be an experienced farmer to pick up a pumpkin.

I also have mixed feelings on the whole having to wait to craft most items. I mean, it makes sense, but it took me like 3 minutes to make some fences... In reality I can see why that makes sense, trying to bring more realism into the game but it gets tedious.

I LOVE that you need different crafting stands to craft different things. Though, a guide on what station makes what would be nice to have!

I really dislike the fact that it will take me an hour or more to make a chestplate. Who with even a shred of a life would wait 1 hour for a stingy minecraft item that used to take 30 seconds to make? To battle this issue we could extensively lower the time it takes to make these goods because on a free day I'm not gonna waste 1/24 of my day making an item.

Making bread SHOULD be hard to do if you want a good economy, which is something that would add a whole 'nother depth depth to LoTC, which is what it needs. The training **** is not what I expected though, that should be changed. You shouldn't be super restricted like this is runescape, please god no, I don't want to be a certain level to carry stuff around or use it. stop it or we're going to lose players to that horridity

Make stuff over night with multiple workstations, problem solved!

Bread IRL is easy to make, if anything, flour is hard to make. Bread is water and flour, that's it. There is nothing else. It will be crappy bread, but it will be bread, anyone can make it if they have flour and water. The problem is the wheat gathering, not the bread making, you can say it's hard to farm and harvest wheat, but there is a difference between gathering wheat after it grew, and growing it. IRL comparisons don't work at all.

Also multiple workstations don't work, Telanir is smart, you try to do two things at the same time, and the second one will take a lot longer. Example, you want to make 2 swords, instead of making them in the same anvil, you want to speed up the process and make 1sword on each of your two anvils. 1 sword takes 5mins to make, so 2 swords takes 10 mins in one anvil. So you place one sword making and it starts counting down from 5 mins. You open the next anvil to make a sword and this one will not take 5 mins, it will take 10 mins now, because you're already making another somewhere else.
