High Elves are indeed more attuned with magic. It says so in accepted, old lore. They make sense. What does not make sense, however, is the human buff only applying to mobs. How is that a benefit in any way whatsoever? If mobs and other races, it would make sense.

I don't particularly care about numbers or war politics. Either way people will get upset if humans DO get a PvP boost and will get upset if they DON'T get a PvP boost. I foresee a forum thread coming. Also your survey results didn't show a particular big interest in PvP so that's what I went on.

 

I mean, do you want humans to be underpowered?  If you're going to give every other race combat bonuses against other players, why not extend that to humans?

 

The only people who will get upset at humans getting a PvP boost are those who (hypocritically) do not want humans to get a PvP boost.  The lack of equal human representation on the tech team likely gives a rise to this in some regards.

I'm just asking questions and making suggestions in order to set things more fairly, not insulting you for the work you've done, which has been very good, not counting this.  If you just take the human buff and extend the quantity-advantage to apply in general as opposed to merely against mobs (which is more or less useless to us), then it would be amazing.  Otherwise, we're very, very disadvantaged mechanically which, of course, doesn't make sense alongside all the disciplined, militant cultures that humanity sponsors, and is generally pretty unfair, in my opinion.

I kinda feel like High Elves should have stonemason. Add some downsides, by all means, but it's just.. look at the history of making big fancy cities out of stone. Wouldn't it make more sense that they've grown talented at stonemasonry?

So basically either I play my character a certain way or my character's buffs aren't as good as those of the other races? Seems a bit unfair to me.

 

I agree, I've had my southeron character for quite a long time, and considering he is a blacksmith and has been one for 50 years of his life makes it unfair when he has a -20% blacksmithing. Its punishing me for my own rp, it makes no sense.

Only tiny problem I see with racials is that:

1. Humans want pvp buffs

2. Goblins are weak compared to ORCS, but they are still just as strong as a human. So why are they considerably weaker compared to humans? Please don't say because Goblins are 2 feet tall, those aren't Goblins. Those are mutants. 

Also, if you don't put a cap on the damage increase humans do in hordes then they could essentially 1 shot everything and everyone during a warclaim when the majority of the server gets online.

I've spent the better part of a year dealing with puntable gobbos, when did this change?

Profession: Farmer (+30%), Chef (+30%)
+30% Fisher
+20% Lumberjack

 

 

What's the difference between the first +30 and the bottom +30?

So how can high elves be attuned to magic as a racial trait and exposed to it? What am I missing here?  Or is this what I just said irrelevant cause to me to feels like this is the case, that high elves are born with a connection to magic.

its been in the lore since aegis, gobbos are 5-6 foot

I can easily see the Orcs abusing their racial buff by just hitting each other, and making themselves deal tonnes of damage. Humans get nothing. How are we supposed to deal with a horde of Dwarves that take more hits before they go down, and can stay closer due to a resistance to knockback? Humans got fucked over. It's ridiculous.

. . .Can the High Elves swap the alchemy profession (Highest rank thing) with Enchanting? Or can they achieve the highest enchanter rank? Can /anyone/ achieve the highest enchanter rank?

inb4 everybody changes race away from human

If your race is so reliant on pvp buffs then the humans are in sad shape. You guys are still unstoppable in most raids, and especially in warclaims when everyone and their mother come to pvp. I also highly doubt humans would change races because they didn't get a pvp racial buff, that would greatly imply that they only play humans for pvp, which they don't.
