Thales: Racial Bonuses

It's because we aren't trying to make a huge splash like the Snow Elves and are regrouping for 4.0. There is a current clan in Alras and I know TapeSauce and a few others have clans roaming about.

Maybe present what you think the Adunians should be?

Maybe present what you think the Adunians should be?

I thought that someone proposed an idea on a separate thread, but I guess not. I'm going to shoot this over to some of the higher up/leadership Adunian folks and see what they have to say so we can make a collective suggestion.

I feel like they did good on the kharajyr. Makes sense to use those buffs and debuffs(ASDOESEVERYONEELSESSOSTOPCOMPLAINING).

Good on ya, tech team.

Im sorry but Forest Dwarves shouldn't have a leather working buff since they are love animals etc. Lore wise Mountain Dwarves are prone to do more leatherworking!

Here's my rough idea for Adunian buffs and debuffs. I request that my fellow Adunian role-players add their own ideas to adjust this. Only being one person with one perspective, I cannot possibly deliver the finalized product of what we want:

.::Adunian::.

Profession: None. Instead, Adunians can advance any capped skill two tier higher than usual.

+20% Blacksmith

+20% Breeder

-20% Enchanter

-20% Fisher

+ Perseverance: Decreased damage intake when harmed. ((Basically better protection.))

- Slightly Dysfunctional: An opposite effect than Human's Companionship. Increased damage intake when near other Adunians. This essentially counters the Perseverance buff and makes Adunians take average damage when hit.

+ Reach For the Stars: Jump boost. ((I thought of this because of that Adunian ambition I typically see. They always believe they're capable of great accomplishments, so why not reach for the stars?))

- Mongrels: Decreased knockback resistance. ((Pushed around a bit more due to their impure blood that people poke fun at.))

Remember guys, I really half-assed this thing. I'd ask other Adunian role-players to help come up with our buffs and debuffs. I surely left things out or didn't add others.

My point seems to just be ignored. No one wants to answer it?

It is lore that High Elves revolve around magic. The effect simply supports that just like orc blood rage. It doesn't mean the high elf will learn magic and make use of that effect just like an orc might not be an offensive orc and make use of the bloodrage. Magic has always been apart of the high elves. So there really is no need to argue about having their racial effects be about magic.

Half-breeds are notorious for having negative effects. What would the Adunians have?

What Minnie said about High-Elves, they have their magic buffs but then also both enchanting and alchemy? And while most races have bonuses for pvp humans doesn't, maybe Companionship should also affect other players and not only mobs.

Enchanting and alchemy are part of LOTC science in a way, something that the high elves are heavily involved in/have for a long time to the point where "labs" have been a staple in their city designs. I do agree that some other professions need negatives attached to them for the high elves though.

I quite like this.

This is interesting because it matches the Salvian background exactly. All our history has known is genocide and war which has lead to the downfall of Salvus multiple times which is why Salvians are such strong people as they have endured much.

A cool ability for the kha might be

Primal instinct:

-when around a kha cub (20 or younger) they get a damage buff to their unarmed as they defend their young!

Can you guys just give dwarves magic resistance and the inability to use magic? Dwarves are incapable of using magic except Ironguts.
