Thales: Changelog Draft 25-07-14

 Share

Recommended Posts

After I realised this myself, I told Sporadic that the professions suggested by apparent Mountain Dwarf players didn't match their lore. It must've just been a mix up.

It seems the Mountain Dwarf players that voted on the survey don't know their own lore, though!

Tell Sporadic about the halflings changes thing I posted please! I don't think he saw it in either thread :(. We ain't lumberjacks!

Are doors only available to woodworkers now or something? Because I cant find them, or fences or gates, or anything basic meant to build...

You need to be promising rank to make a lot of basic things - you can unselect a second profession and all your non-trained skills should raise to promising level. Picking a second skill makes you highly specialized, but lacking in being able to do a variety of things.

Hehehe... you wanted to be an alchemist, eh? Well, in order to make a home, you'll need to be a woodworker! Then, you'll need to be a farmer for food! Then, you'll need to be a cook to cook decent food to survive! Oh, you still want to be that alchemist? Good luck trying to do that with -200,000,000 xp in it!

Try unselected your second profession, most basic recipes are 'Promising' tier, having 2 skills set seems to limit your non-selected ones to Inept (one rank below Promising).

Sporadic said this is an oversight, so it will most likely be changed.

You need a home? Join an existing settlement! There's tons of them! You want food? Buy some! Lots of places sell it, not to mention if you followed the first step and joined a settlement, chances are there's a farmer there already. Need to cook food? Look at step 2 again! Want to be alchemist now? Go right ahead, because you must have happened to not use the updated plugin at all, as there is no negative xp.

Requirements for crafting a Tinkers Post is now Redstone(2), Craftingtable(1), Glass(1), and Cocoa Bean?(1).

Fixed! Don't know how cocoa beans got in there, haha. It's now Redstone, Crafting Table and Glass.

Why do we need three iron ingots to make bread... Seriously, how was this even an option? I mean, I presume you need three iron ingots to make a water bucket (which you need to make bread) because I cannot see the bucket recipe in any of the workstations.

Fixed!

Phew, thank goodness. That's really good to know. Being inept in everything is pretty scary, and makes simple tasks a lot more harder than they should be.

I greatly appreciate the changes! I've found a couple bugs though.

-Both 'Cooked Fish' and 'Cooked Salmon' recipes require salmon, so if you have normal fish you can't make either. It says you don't have the required ingredients.

Fixed!

-I tried making a fishing rod, and definitely had the sticks, string, and a fishing hook, but it also said I don't have the required ingredients.

Fixed! (You'll need fishing hooks made since the update)

-There's no way to make snow, ice, snow cover, or packed ice. I tried using the inventory crafting box to make snowballs into snow blocks, but it said I need a crafting bench.

-There had been a way to change gravel into flint, can't do that anymore.

-Making one chicken soup used up all the cooked chicken in my inventory.

You have to make sure you are using a fishing hook made after the update as it is a different item. I am unsure if the string or sticks matter (don't think they do) but the fishing hook does.

If you don't like the plugin so much go to another RP server.  I suppose it's a terrible shame people can't RP Edgy characters who live all alone and completely support themselves instead of needing to rely on other people.

It says my 'Hunk of Bread' will expire in 17000+ days, haha. And another stack of bread went completely rotten, this is buggy.
