The Kingdom of Indonesia

King Asrul indicates that he would be willing to attend a summit in Washington, but only if there was a chance that real progress could be made. Stating that the notion that Indonesia should withdraw from its own land is "rediculous," he asserts that it is India that is truly destabilizing the region, whereas Indonesia has only been uniting the islands under one government for the good of all.

Worried that West China might be seduced to the American side of things and leave their ally to the wolves by signing, say, an agreement that would forbid them from aiding in a certain other war, Asrul sends an envoy north, to offer a deal that would drastically reduce the price paid by China on oil for its armed forces. Although useful in its own right, the gesture is meant primarily as a show of friendship, and the phrase "hour of need" is mentioned.

The Western Republic of China

Hong_Kong_Grunge_Flag_by_think0.jpg

General Ng watched the monitor as Japanese forces begin to land from the sea and his troops dig in to prepare for the long battle ahead. The WC navy was unable to knock out many transports, and the Japanese infantry had a surge of morale from their Empress. From the battle playing out, he could see that the vast majority of the Japanese forces seemed to be untrained, but he wanted to avoid casualties. On his desk sat the American peace treaty, and he sighed.

"I suppose we must accept this before the engagement takes too many resources. If the USA and Japan agree to my counter offer, we will have peace."

The USA is told that its treaty will be accepted only if it does not support India. The reason being that the USA should keep to its own sphere and leave "Asia to the Asians". With it comes a trade offer than includes large amounts of free plastic and half a trillion dollars with of HK currency that would be given to the USA to aid its unstable economy. General Ng also releases information that he would be willing to attend a summit if the Japanese stopped their invasion.

General Ng calls the frontline commanders and sounds a recall order from Dandong's suburbs. The troops behind are more heavily dug in, though, and to push further would increase casualties on both sides to the hundreds of thousands. Meanwhile, Western China sends in troops to take out Manchurian leaders and General Ng proclaims control over the province of Manchuria. The Empress is sent a reply.

Empress Kuzo,

A continuation of war will leave us both losers. I am willing to accept a small loss of face and leave you the city of Dandong and its suburbs if you recall your armies. This is beneficial to both of us, but if you do not accept, you will face a large problem. With a peace treaty like this, both of us can avoid any serious loss of face and power.

The large aerial forces on both sides proceed to go about one for one in dogfights across the sky. Any Japanese troops going past the Dandong Suburbs are hit with a massive barrage of artillery and machine gun fire, but the Western Chinese take care not to hit the city, which has been left whole throughout the battle. It would appear that they do not intend to touch Dandong.

On the home front, the majority of resources have been rationed and guard forces begin to help restructure provinces into meritocracies. Posters are put up everywhere, with labels like "Ng Ying-Hei, protector of China" and "Save Manchuria! Buy Government Bonds!". The middle class begins to invest in rebuilding the country's industry for cheap plastic goods, and the government sponsors a provincial farming system that gives the poor the ability to hold farms and increase the country's food production. At the same time, an entire Western Chinese city in Tibet disappears and is replaced by farmlands. Some conspiracy theories go up about how almost 200 thousand Tibetans disappeared suddenly, but no government talk has come out yet. Factories across the seaboard begin to produce parts for corvettes and a battleship begins production near Hong Kong's New Territory region.

The Western Chinese navy begins to move away from Dandong and further south, blocking any movement outside of mainland Asia past the Southeast (Basically a giant blockade). A constant supply line is set up between Macau and the naval line, and more destroyers begin construction in Nanjing. Factories begin to send supplies to Indonesia and India is warned that continued aggression may force West China to interfere, but no troops other than the normal guard sit at the border. Indochina is warned not to interfere with the Indonesian-Malaysian war. Any trade deals sent to Western China are accepted. France is asked for the blueprints to its general infantry level guns, mostly assault rifles, and is offered an alliance and trade deals.

((Delve, both Frontline and Reserve personnel of Japan numbers only 300,000 in the military power of the application you sent in. That would mean 600,000 of the 900,000 basic infantry you sent are untrained civilians with guns.))

He stood with his hands behind his back, slack-jawed. It was as if he simply couldn't comprehend what was happening to him, that the thought couldn't even process in his brain. The sun glared down mercilessly at him; he had to squint in the face of it, and sweat poured down his scrunched features. He felt a soft but insistent weight press on his shoulder, and he knelt slowly. The long grasses rustled against his fingertips. He saw the faces of those he had led, and those who had finally brought him down, all staring impassively from a distance. Something brushed against his shaved head, something hard, and though he knew well enough what it was he still experienced an instant of confusion. His fingers clutched the yellowed stalks, and he had the sudden thought that he-

The thunderous rapport blasted across the arid plain as the gleaming pistol sounded once. The high-caliber monster bucked in its owner's hand, a giant of a man who somehow did not flinch away from the blood and matter that erupted from the other man's head. There was a moment of silence as the body slumped to the ground, leaving General Emeka Adeniji standing over the last warlord of Chad. Then his teeth bared, in a small white-toothed grin, and the assembled soldiers let out a resounding cheer. The takeover had gone much better than any could have expected.

Emeka stepped off to the side, and out of the limelight of the now dancing contingent of soldiers. He took a fresh rag from one of his attendants, and used it to wipe down his large forearms and hands after he had holstered his firearm. He hadn't expected disaster in repossessing Chad, which was hardly run by a government at all. Any semblance of order had left much of the African continent when the UN fell apart. It had pained him to know that this had allowed such men as the one he had just executed rise; yet now that very same fragmentation allowed the United African Army to spread its power easily.

The liberation of Chad allowed his newfound nation to put their 'realignment' program into action. This operation included the freeing of any and all child soldiers, or any wrongfully pressed into service, and the extensive effort required to locate their relatives (if any lived). Any soldiers who were found to have forced children to fight usually 'disappeared'. The United African Army would never have this investigated, for obvious reasons; those who forced Africa's future to fight and die were just as despicable as the white demons that had first come to the continent's shore so long ago.

Emeka finished refreshing himself, and gestured another member of his cabinet forward as he tossed the cleaning rag away. The older man handed his leader a handful of documents warmly, before stepping to the side of the massive Nigerian, who began skimming over the papers. The documents detailed the major events that had transpired while the general had lead his troops, both global and regional. Emeka nodded approvingly as he read the report on public relations. Niger, Sudan, and Cameroon were willing to come to the bargaining table. Perhaps they were intimidated by the organized and aggressive new nation, though it was much more likely that they sought both the stability and relatively high standard of living that the United African effort epitomized. The latter avenue would be infinitely more beneficial to the large general's goal; Emeka knew that the fruits of diplomacy would taste much better than the seeds that were watered by blood. He sought to unite Africa, not conquer it.

The general's sunken eyes flicked over the world events, and he frowned. This news was much more... troubling. Several of the trade proposals he had sent out were accepted, yet that was where the tidings ended. India waged war on Indonesia, and Japan fought with China like a pair of tangled hyenas. These issues would have to be addressed; the people would want to know where their leader stood on such things.

Several days later, Emeka Adeniji makes his first public address on television. "Children of Africa, men and women of this great and unified nation. I would thank you as brothers and sisters, for all that you have done. Without your sacrifices, what we strive for would be nothing but a wistful dream. We toil to make an Africa for the Africans, and you are more important in our ascension to a better life than I. Yet the rest of the world seems a much darker place. I would share with you my opinion on the storm that rages outside our sight, for the day may come when we are drawn into conflict by these warmongering nations."

Emeka pauses to take a sip of water, and then continues in his low and gravelly undertone.

"India may speak of the injustice done upon it, of the suffering they will not stand for. Yet every viper tests the air before it strikes, and Devi has a tongue of silver. Yet we are not fooled, are we? We see, better than any other, the fangs that hide in a snake's mouth. The Americans do not. The Japanese do not. But the Indians are no different than the demons that stole our families into slavery, and turned our tribes against each other! They are no different than the European monsters that used our ancestors as little more than animals, to feed their greed and avarice! They warned Indonesia against trespassing upon a nation that was not theirs, and then proceeded to fight on the good kingdom's soil? HYPOCRITES!"

The giant's normally gentle voice had risen to a passionate boom, and he hesitated in an attempt to calm himself.

"Any goods headed to the Indian 'Republic' will be detained until they can pay the tax necessary to ensure protection in our waters. I'm afraid that this protection is mandatory; I would not risk unnecessary loss of life to the pirates that still lurk, and are much more prone to acting violently against those who wish to aid the imperialists of the east. I offer an ultimatum of ten days for them to adapt to this decision, more than they offered Indonesia despite ongoing peace talks; Tell me, is such treachery practiced by someone that is in the right?

Emeka chuckled, though the gesture was mirthless, and his anger apparent.

"But we are not them; and so, they will have ten days. Not that it will help; unless they plan on rerouting their trade into Indonesia's backyard, I'm afraid all the time in the world won't better their predicament. I offer my support to Indonesia and its allies, who are now our brothers in oppression. That is all. Thank you for your time."

~Actions~

A request for a meeting is sent to the leaders of Italy, France, and Indonesia, on the collective welfare and future of their nations.

Nigeria heads to the negotiation table with Niger, Cameroon, and Sudan, with the intent of absorbing them into United Africa.

United Africa places a trade embargo on India. In addition, any Indian transport ships are to be detained, and their goods seized if a tax cannot be paid. This is done with the knowledge that India is, in Emeka's opinion, too committed in the war with Indonesia to provide armed escorts for their many trade ships, and that any merchant marine force sizable enough to hold off the 'pirates' will detract from their forces fighting in the South Pacific.

United Africa sends an emissary to Indochina, with the intent of establishing trade.

United Africa begins to set foundations for a long-lasting alliance with the Islamic Caliphate.

Quick reply

The armored columns stationed in Singapore and on the peak of the peninsula race down to capture as much land from the Malaysians as possible before the Indonesians do. The goal is to prevent the Indonesians from seperating the province of Singapore from the rest of the confederacy, where ever Confederate troops met Indonesians they would have orders to stand down and build fortifications unless attacked.

All trade deals are accepted

Very Quick reaction post

Republic of India

The large fleet bunches up in a protective circle, with Indian ships patrolling around them. Keeping things relatively safe, and staying off Indonesian submarines. The surviving Indian navy pulls out from Indonesia, and sets a course for home. They would regroup at Sri Lanka and await their orders. The ULC is cautioned to take the cape horn, with French all around the Suez.

The Indian detachment heading for the Suez reaches the Red sea, and begins sailing for the suez in neutral waters. They would stop any French ships crossing over the Suez.

I think judging by the post they would of made it, but I'll follow your advice and act as if they just arrived. But attacking the suez is attacking the whole Islamic Caliphate...

1 million Indian troops are put on stand by and fats moving transports are ready to move them.

The Kingdom of Indonesia

indonesia_grunge_flag_w__coat_of_arms_by

With every day that passes with the glorious Indonesian kingdom unthreatened, the nation seems more and more inpenetrable. As further reinforcements arrive to the west, the northern tip of Sumatra becomes a fortress. Bristling with AA systems, artillery and missile systems, the area makes landing a foolish proposition. Work also goes into heavily fortifying the west coast of the newly gained mainland portion of Malaysia, with some of the defensive forces from Java relocating there. Java was in little danger anyway, given its location.

The 5 new vengeance class missile cruisers exit the drydock, and 5 more are put into production. An additional 10 submarines finish production around the country, and sail into the Indian Ocean, while the main Indonesian fleet is joined by 10 corvettes. Meanwhile, the air force is being busily expanded, and three new armored divisions are almost ready for action. Across the country, every citizen of His Majesty is expected to do their part for the war effort, through rationing, labor, or other contribution.

As long as India's transport fleet remains at sea, the submarine pack continues to harass them, picking off transports one by one, though the change in formation makes it more slightly more difficult. The fleet would nto be able to stay out forever.

Morale is high, for the enemy has to cross a vast, dangerous sea to attack, and the logistical problems alone of safely traveling may cripple them. With each day, the army swells, while existing forces train more and more for the coming battle. "The army of our glorious kingdom," says King Asrul, "must rival or surpass the greatest powers of the world in efficiency, discipline, and bravery." The existing officer college has by now become far more rigorous, and only the best is expected of Indonesian officers, who expect only the best in their men.

Finally, both the King and the war ministry realized the need for even greater production if India is going to be overwhelmed in the future. However, raw materials are always a bottleneck, and buying them from China or elsewhere would not be efficient in the long term. There was, however, a place rather nearby that could act as a perfect source: a place that could provide the kingdom with all the raw resources it would ever need.

The invasion of Australia would not be difficult. Since the departure of US forces, the continent was nearly undefended, with a standing army of only 50,000 personnel. It began in the militarized area around the city of Darwin, with the first combat test of Indonesia's Badai troopers. Without warning, at 3 AM, the shock troops arrive by air, landing in strategic positions and quickly wiping out resistance. Caught off guard, the defenders fail to inflict any serious casualties, and by morning the city and surrounding areas are secure, with the Badai division free to move on when 20,000 army regulars arrive by sea.

An additional 50,000 men land on the northwest coast of Australia, and quickly move south toward Perth, destroying any resistance they encounter. A detachment of slightly larger size lands in the Gulf of Carpentaria, moving to secure the more populated Queensland province. Hours after the landing, additional armor divisions arrive in Darwin, and begin to drive south followed by 15,000 infantry and artillery. The aim is to quickly take Adelaide, then swing east for the assault on New South Wales.

A message is sent to the Australian government:

"His Majesty King Asrul Kapur does not wish to cause unnecessary harm to your country or to your people. Surrender now, and you will be treated fairly as citizens of Indonesia."

Indochina recieves a reply accepting the non-aggression pact on the condition that Indochina does not provide aid in any capacity to the enemies of the kingdom. The push from Singapore succeeded in creating a small buffer zone that stretches about 50 miles north from the city.

Indonesia officially recognizes United Africa's legitimacy, but to send the head of state to Africa would be too dangerous, and so an ambassador is sent instead.

Repubicca Italiana

390px-Emblem_of_Italy.svg.png

The President stepped aboard a helicopter, flying off from the the fleet floating towards Libya, long ago the Legions of Rome had been expelled from North Africa and the stronghold of Tripoli. The fleet cruised through the calm waves, waves that had once been torn by Roman Ships. The Glory Days of Italy and The Imperium were about to return. As the ships move silently through the dark night air, drones prepped in a military base in Sicily, as well as fighter pilots being awoken aboard the aircraft carrier. Miles down shore the French invasion of Algeria had the Libyan Army guarding the Land Border , preparing for a French invasion from the West. They had no idea what was about to hit them. As the first drones dive into Libyan airspace and strafe military bases along the coast, as missiles launched from the  fleet impact Tripoli and the other coastal cities, the President makes a speech.

"People of Italia! The Algerians were not alone in their terrorist attacks on European Soil. In the wee-hours of the night an ASSASSIN  was stopped as he made his way to the President's quarters. Thankfully the President was having a meeting with French diplomats about endangered birds being poached in the Alps. The assassin is currently in a holding cell within Rome, but after interrogation was discovered that the Libyan Male was working for Libya in an attempt to dethrone Italy's coming golden age. In times of such tensity this act isn't taken lightly and Libya has deemed itself the first step in a conquest for Italia's Golden Age." Tripoli was soon in dissaray as massive firefights erupted as drones bombed major military and police bases in and around the city. Meanwhile smaller companies move throughout the coast capturing smaller villages. The other major coastal cities are subjected to air-raids and naval strikes from the sea. Libya is issued an ultimatum, "Surrender or Be Conquered". Once an airbase is captured planes will begin to land and then strike further inland towards the Southern Military Strongholds. Operation Climate Change was a go.

OOC:

There would be no attack, and since you attacked an Islamic Nation I'm pretty sure that they'd allow me safe passage if not help me but eh. That's why I'm going to RP as though I were already through the Straight and prepared to meet you with full force in the Red Sea. Hopefully that clears it up. And any Luisitanian 'back attack' would most likely be caught by the Atlantic fleet or invading fleet in Algeria or the Italian Fleet (my Ally). Brad stop me if I'm incorrect there.

République Français

The French defensive fleet meets the Indians as they enter the Red Sea, warning them not to proceed past the tip of Oman or the fleet would begin fire. The President Henry de Guise sends a personal message to President Devi

"We are prepared to sink your expedition fleet in the Gulf of Oman and establish a blockade to prevent further trade to reach you from Europe. However, we both agree that this would be in neither of our best interests. Instead I offer a temporary ceasefire until the conference in Washington D.C. has come to a conclusion and the state of this conflict has reached a hopefully peaceful end.

- President Henry de Guise"

A letter is then immediately sent to the American President.

"Our fleet in the Red Sea acts only as a defensive tool and will not proceed any further past the Gulf of Oman unless attacked by the Indian Navy. We are willing to attend peace negotiations should real progress be made in D.C. However, our fleet will not move from the Red Sea until we can be assured that no attempt will be made to attack or blockade the Republic of France through the Suez Canal. This is our only condition to attending peace talks."

ALGERIAN INVASION - UPDATE THE MAP, FRANCE OWNS ALGERIA

The government of Algeria comes to talks in Paris which end with a resounding agreement. The state of Algeria would surrender unconditionally to the French government however the President would remain in power as provincial governor and elections would still be held as normal. Occupation would continue for several months and immediately engineers and French Peace Corps members enter the nation to help improve infrastructure, improve public relations, and allow for faster transport of French troops.

Men on the Western side of Algeria move toward the border with Morocco while troops from the East turn west toward the meager African neighbor. A demand is made to Morocco to make the same concessions as Algeria and become a semi-autonomous province underneath the French government. (MOD NEEDED) The President personally congratulates his commanders in pacifying the Algerian government so quickly.

DIPLOMACY

United Africa's offer is accepted as long as they would be willing to allow the French control of Algeria and Morocco in the north to help aid the French war efforts in Europe and elsewhere.

Republic of India

The Indian detachment in the red sea heads back for India, receiving orders from Devi. The French would be given a chance to show to the world if they actually harbored good morals. Word is sent back to France stating that the ceasefire was accepted, and no hostile or economic moves would be made against them.

The main Indian navy and the badly damaged transport fleet finally converged on their meeting point. With adequate destroyers and submarines, the Indians now outnumbered the Indonesian submarine pack. Missions to destroy them began, pack of destroyers led my submarines prowling the waters. The main fleet heads back to port along with the transports, needing repairs. 1 carrier, 2 frigates, and 5 corvettes were in need of repairs. The rest remained patrolling India's waters or hunting Indonesian submarines.

Of the four million Indian troops, 1 million of the most recommended were taken off duty in rotations. They were but through vigorous training courses in pre-fabricated structures, weeding out the week ones. Finally narrowing it down to some 500,000 men. The rest go back to active duty, but those 500,000 are put through increasingly harder programs.

The Gohkar Rifles were established, and officers from the large pool of men were selected. A volunteer only force of what India would build up into a fearsome troop. Using their wealth, carapace armor and expensive weaponry are bought or manufactured. These men would be trained in all types of situations, from hostage rescues to full on wars. It would take time to arm and train these warriors, but they would soon be in action.

The Alliance with the United States is made public, and an offer is sent to the President.

"Although I agree with the need for a ceasefire, the Indonesians should not be trusted. Even now they invade Australia for no reason other then conquest. I ask that you do two things to help check their power. Bring in your navy in force, and keep them at standby. Secondly, if things go bad, help the Indian navy defeat the Indonesians."

The ULC are asked to be cautious, and take the cape horn to India

The first batch of ships being built are almost done, and the carrier has reached a quarter way done. More ships are commissioned to be built, and workers arrive in force to ensure a quota is met. Factories are springing up everywhere, entrepreneurs capitalizing on a cheap work force and a government in need of supplies. Selling their wares for reduced prices, India was able to buy more of everything. In return tariffs were lowered, allowing Entrepreneurs to buy goods they couldn't make easier. More money is pooled into the military, and the front with Pakistan. More aircraft are commissioned, but India also heads for AA defenses. Buying the best money could buy, Anti aircraft static missile systems are bought. Along with corvettes being refitted with anti air defenses and missile systems, more frigates receive anti air missile batteries.

The 20,000 troops stationed in Malaysia are stranded, and in a foreign country. Indochina is asked if they can move into their lands and aid with possible efforts of defense. Devi also picks up on the offer for military agreements and sends a letter.

"The Indonesians are powerful, but do not be cowed. I ask that you enter a military alliance with India. I will honor your non aggression pact with Indonesia, and not ask you to break it. However you should be warned they are not your honorable neighbors. They can and will turn on you, like they're doing with Australia."

With anti air missiles comes border defenses. The west coast of India  receives more military bases, more bunkers, more of everything. The poor are offered jobs, while the army engineers handle the task requiring skill. In Sri Lanka, more airfields are built and more missile systems installed. Defenses in the inner island are prepared, and troops begin arriving to bolster those already there.

I'm not arguing or even saying you should change it, but Zanderaw you produced 5 cruisers and 10 submarines in like 2 1/2 pages.

The Kingdom of Indonesia

indonesia_grunge_flag_w__coat_of_arms_by

((OOC: non-nuclear submarines are fairly cheap to produce, while the timing on the missile destroyers is about right, as I'm in war production overdrive. Their main advantage is that they are both extremely versatile and much cheaper than a carrier.

Also, pheonix, what do you think you're doing, you don't have anywhere near that type of naval power in all your countries put together. Assuming you're sending everything you have, it's more like 1 aircraft carrier, 0 battleships, 0 destroyers, 15 frigates, 7 corvettes and less than ten submarines. Please don't pull numbers out of thin air.))

The mood in Jakarta is triumphant, as newsreels show the forces of His Majesty sweeping across Australia. Pro-war rallies are commmon, and the Indonesian flag is seen everywhere. The army has doubled in size, with a million recruits just now finishing rigorous training. Elsewhere, the armed forces continue to go through drills and training, becoming more disciplined every day and ready for the coming invasion. Missiles are produced in larger and larger amounts, and batteries are placed along with the growing fortifications in Sumatra. Anti-missile systems could stop some of them, but such systems had always been fairly ineffective, and by increasing the volume of rockets that could be fired, the war ministry hoped to overwhelm any apporaching fleet. Massive, 18" artillery pieces are placed along the coast, along with smaller pieces in between. The air force has expanded, with high altitude bombers and more jets now joining the force.

Near Indonesian-occupied Darwin, Australia, the work begins on a massive naval yard, which when completed will be the largest in the world. It will take some time, but it should be worth it.

The submarine pack in the Bay of Bengal pulls out when the main Indian fleet arrives, and sails south to join the second pack. Together, they sail to the Cape of Good Hope, and begin their work. With the Strait of Malacca and the Red Sea both closed, the southern tip of Africa was India's only trade link to the rest of the world, and this was about to be cut off. Indonesia begins unrestricted submarine warfare, sinking any and all Indian or Portuguese ships that attempt this route. The effects would be felt immediately on India, a country already feeling the strain of maintaining a 4 million man army. When the now-isolated nation's economy begins to falter, the Indonesian Media Committee launches a broad propaganda campaign over the radio and over the internet, directed at the Indian population. The overall message, conveyed in a myriad of ways, is this: every Indian is now suffering because the government has involved itself in a war that is not theirs.

As the meager ULC fleet approaches the Cape of Good Hope, the Indonesians lie in wait, safe in the knowledge that the enemy lacks submarine hunters.

An additional 40,000 of the very best of the Indonesian army are recruited into the Badai troopers. The first division of the corps busily proves itself in Australia, excelling at every mission it's given.
