The French President Henry de Guise was a colossus of a man. During his youth he had attended Oxford University and been the captain of their rowing team. His frame showed just as much. The President entered the room just as talks began, flanked by advisors on either side. A sly smirk crept out from behind his usually stern face as he straightened his suit and immediately approached King Asrul, shaking his hand and looking to the other leaders in the room.

 

"Bonjour gentlemen, excuse my timing."

 

THE REPUBLIC

The French and Belgian government officially announce a Union[bELGIUM BELONGS TO FRANCE] between the two nations. The nations would share currency, borders, and of course militaries. What exists of the Belgian Navy is sent through the Strait of Gibraltar to to the Mediterranean coast while Belgian special forces move to suppress the newly annexed African nations.

 

Normal French military assets return to France while the Foreign Legion is sent across the Atlantic to one of France's islands in the Caribbean where they are isolated from civilization. The force would undergo a vigorous training process which would not end until every man solely belonged to the Fifth Republic. Research was underway to start building new equipment for the Legion upon completion of their training. 

 

The Swedes and Germans are sent full military alliance propositions and asked to form an Economic and Military Alliance to ensure that Europe remains for Europeans. There is only one condition for this alliance system, relations with the United States, Portugal, and India would need to be cut off and relations with Indonesia opened. 

 

The object which crashed in the Atlantic's signal had been received and been dismissed as nothing but an old German radio broadcast or a practical joke from some American.

Repubicca Italiana

Peace Meeting:

Rafael Ferraro took his seat looking around to the council, "Ciao good friends and respectable rivals, as with France excuse my late timing, I had... matters to attend to." 

 

The President nodded to his secretary as he entered the conference room, signaling for Phase 2 of the African invasion to go into affect, to plant the Italian Holdings on the African shore permanently and establish a safe and orderly state, something not seen in that region for centuries. While the main invasion team begins to pull out and return to Italy to recollect, regroup, and re-arm. The Naval forces are re-routed for the Balkan Coastal Nations, resting in the southern bay of the Peninsula before striking at mid-day, when the guard of any tense (albeit unlikely tense)  nations. Fresh troops from the Italian mainland are replaced by the returning combatants from the African province, and are sent as large numbers of Alpini (Mountain Special Forces) and Standard Army once the naval bombardemnt from the previous African Invasion Fleet began the soldiers would parachute in to the the countries of Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia. Soon Italia would have a foothold in the ancient Balkans. As troops parachuted in drones and fighter jets descend upon the nations and wreck havoc upon key cities, ports, and military bases. The previous warning is issued to the balkan invaded states, as well as any Balkan states now wishing to join under the Republic, "Join, and have amnesty within a council of provinces, or perish beneath our boot." 

The same issue is warned to Tunisia asking them to join under the Italian Provinces. No threat is issued to Tunisia however, just a offer, however it would be pretty obvious of underlying repurcussions for denial. In the Libyan province special Alpini-Africa Forces are issued, specialized in rooting out terrorists in rebels in the far reaching strongholds of the desert and the Eastern Coast.

So this was the United States of America. Just as grand as it had always looked on the cheap postcards, the ones that were sold in the local general store by Emeka's village. It had been the only general store for almost a day's drive, with all sorts of goods from other countries. The massive African remembered visiting the unnatural building when his mother would go to market. Visiting and staring at the postcards and dreaming of the chocolate bars that were too expensive for anyone to buy. It had closed down a long time ago, long before his mother had died in one of the countless sectarian firefights. But still he had remembered the pearl-white monuments and the emerald green grass. Had someone told him he would be here, stepping off of his first flight, into Reagan International? He would have laughed until his sides were sore, and it still brought him a chuckle.
 
When Emeka Adeniji entered the conference room, he could not help but run his hand over the fine mahogany chair closest to him. The fact that such opulent furnishings were available, along with the general over-extravagance he had witnessed since arriving in the States, hurt the African leader. Even now his people starved, as the government strived to use its newly stabilizing economy to concentrate on combating hunger. So much money wasted... but it was a damn nice chair.
 
The Nigerian general dwarfed the other attendants in the room. It wasn't that he was better-built; with the consistently meagre diet he had endured throughout his youth, physical prowess was out of the question. The fact that he had grown at all was a surprise, even to him. He was just a colossus, plain and simple. He had been assigned an interpreter, a man who seemed positively terrified to be in the tow of the dark-skinned giant. Emeka made sure to greet each of the leaders already there, offering a firm handshake to each of them.
 
His introduction was especially warm to King Asrul Kapur. Indonesia had officially recognized United Africa, and that had gone a long way in establishing the new nation's legitimacy. He would then take a seat next to the Indonesian leader, and wait for the meeting to begin.

With a lull in the fighting at Dandong and his troops moving towards Manchuria's capital to remove the current regime, General Ng packs up, puts his officers in charge, and boards a government plane to the United States of America. A small retinue of officers surround him as he walks into the conference room, smiling.

 

 

The general looks well built but growing gray with age, wrinkles at his eyes and an intelligent look about him. Awards adorn his chest and the stars on his shoulders indicate that he is the leader of the military of Western China, and by extension currently the country. He walks over to the table, introducing himself to the various leaders then taking a seat close to Indonesia. He looks around for a little, then sits back and relaxes.

The Argentine Republic

During the time of economical crisis that had shocked Argentina after the early 2000s, more radical national movements arose and gained more support as the conditions worsened. Many encouraged a return to the South American dictatorship of the 1980s, encouraged by dreams of a Greater Argentina. These movements reached their climax March last year and when the country narrowly missed a civil war and corruption within the government was exposed the people lost their faith in the government and elected Pedro Peròn, the head of the army and most powerful man within the country as President. Peròn quickly established a military dictature, maintaining the republic only by name as senators' powers are removed. Keeping most rights and privileges for the Argentine people to enjoy and to keep his people happy, Peròn also began a rearmament program, investing in the country's already significant military industry to enlargen factories and research centers. 30,000 recruits join the military, all nationalists inspired by the new government and begin training in the mountains and plains of Argentina.

Now was Peròn's time to strike, the world's eyes were set on Indonesia and India and on the peace conference in Washington and any of his actions would not be the spotlight in the news. Thus, tanks and aircraft are moved to the Uruguayan border posts along with 70,000 infantry. Because of the two countries' peaceful and long-lasting good relations the invasion is a surprise to the weaker Uruguayan armed forces and taken as a stab in the back. Seven groups of 10,000 soldiers in battalions cross the border early in the morning after short but effective air strikes targeting the few military bases and convoys of Uruguay. Only after the troops have taken significant ground and the first military bases have been secured is war officially declared. As the Argentine steamroll continues, fresh troops are sent to maintain order in occupied territory.

 

Meanwhile, back home in Buenos Aires a group of the country's best aerial researches and military designers are unified with the purpose of redesigning the Mirage jets the country's air force currently has in service and tweaking them aerodynamically, whilst also inserting a more powerful engine and an all-Argentine weapon's system. The new jet will be called the Sol-1 and is the first step towards the country's military's independence from weapon imports.

 

 

To deal with the country's economic crisis several reforms are taken in place, using the practical full authority of President Peròn to root out corruption and to remove overcomplicated bureaucracy on the lower levels while also cutting expenses and slightly raising taxes. Attention is however all on the invasion of Uruguay and many citizens pay these changes not much heed as the media successfully manipulates the average Argentine's view of their government to a glorious military power instead of a struggling country economically.

 

The ambassador of Argentina shows up at the Washington peace meeting slightly late and looking annoyed at having to partake, saying little and showing less as the Asian situation interests the Argentines little. He has rather been dispatched to counter any opposition that may be raised to the Argentine expansion into Uruguay and to observe the other nations' leaders and policies, keeping a careful eye on the Lusitanian representative.

Hans, almost immediately, accepted the French proposal. It was after all, the best thing for Europe, and Germany. If Russia was to push further west, and war was to be declared, the United States would already be against them. So, why wait until the last moment to be prepared for war? The offer from the French was accepted, and the Swedes are urged to accept as well. Propaganda against the Red Bear starts showing up in cartoons, newspapers, graffiti and even the television. Hans also made a speech to the nation, during a military march through Berlin.

 

"The Russians. They have been our foe more times than friends, and aren't exactly trying to help that matter. With their westward push, we must make a stead fast defense to save Europe. I am not saying that it will come to that, but take a look at this Russian leader, then compare him to the past ones: Stalin, Putin, Krushkov. They are racialists, a passion that has spread throughout Russia since before the take over of Crimea. I am issuing a warning - if a single Russian troop sets foot in Poland, Hungary or another European country defying Russia's "join or die" policy, there may well be a third world war."

 

Even before the speech was put out, secondary messages are sent to Poland and Hungary, offering them to join a union along with Austria. Germany wasn't economically stable yet, but with these four economies combined with the monetary alliance with France, Hans hoped he could stabilize the economy within a year or two. [MOD NEEDED]

 

A trade alliance is also sent to Indonesia, offering support to their cause, but ensuring them that no military help will be sent until further notice. Weapons manufactures open more factories in Hamburg and such, whilst Volkswagen are payed to start production of military vehicles, such as APCs, LAVs and even a new tank, the Rommel-II.

 

France are offered finished products of this tank when they are produced, in return for plans of the Napoleon artillery guns.

Republic of India

 

 

President Devi was a young influential man. Wishing for trade, peace, and a steady world. He and his entourage arrives late to the conference, opting to fly well away from Indonesia. As he enters, Devi eyes everyone up before settling on president Douglas and nodding. Taking a seat, Devi listens in as the conversation takes shape, silently taking notes. As a break in talks happen, Devi clears his throat for silence. Standing up and clasping his hands behind his back he starts his speech;

 

"I have no wish or experience of war, and I always wanted it that way. I live only to see India prosper along with the rest of the world, and see a new age of trade and relations. But instead nations amongst us have taken it upon themselves to expand into nations not their own. For whatever reasons they claim, they are still violating the rights of sovereign nations. India has not attacked or occupied any country not our own, except for that of the Indonesian Kingdom. Their expansion into the Philippines, Australia, and other small states has been completely unwarranted. If you truly wished to help stabilize the area, you would do so through diplomacy and aid programs. Help a people learn to govern themselves, don't just take over and decide for them. I grow weary of the increasing violence, and wish to do whatever it takes to enter a time of peace. However this is hard when European nations are grabbing land overseas and even their neighbors, China is at war with itself and Japan, India is attempting to halt Indonesian expansion and not drag the world down, and the middle east is a religious zealot powder keg. If you people truly come here wishing for peace, then help me. We must want peace before trying to achieve peace. So gentleman, I am ready to negotiate. All my forces are ready to stand down in military actions, my reserves ready to go home. Thank you..."

 

Indian forces remain docked at India licking their wounds, as the Indian navy prepares for action. 12 destroyers, 10 submarines, and 3 frigates are assembled and given repairs and told to wait for orders.

 

The Ghorka rifles are ready for combat, and receive their kit. Full body armor, high end rifles, and AFV's to transport them anywhere at a fast rate. A detachment of 8,000 is turned over to the air force, and dubbed the Ghorka  Commandos. Primarily acting as paratroopers or rapid deployment forces, these would be the best of the best Indian forces. Air transport planes or helicopters would convey them to fighting zones.

The People's Republic of Sweden

After witnessing Germany's acceptance of the alliance proposal, the Swedish government accepts FRANCE'S alliance proposal. A joint research agreement is submitted to both FRANCE and GERMANY. The alliance with the USA is dissolved on the Swedish end.

With the other Nordic nations beginning to undergo revolutions, a proposal is sent to each of them (Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Finland) so that upon socialist victory the nations will join together in a newly proposed union between them all. Further aid is given to both democratic and militant socialist movements, in the form of monetary aid, and arms and military advisors for the militants, both of which are smuggled across the border for the neighbouring countries and airdropped in overseas ones. The Swedish navy also begins expansion to try and become a dominant naval power in the Baltic Sea. 2 Destroyers and 3 Corvettes begin construction ((2 pages)).

United States

 

After India's speech, Sherman claps, smiling and sneaks a glance at King Asrul - to see his reaction. As President Sherman prepares for his speech, he notices a giant African-looking man enter the room. He had heard reports of a group called the United African Army seizing the country of Nigeria, and their General being a smart and fearsome man. Progress. Smiling at him as he walked through the door, the American president began.

 

"Thank you to all who've attended, and thank you Devi for your speech and time. It seems most of us are here, and some are to be expected - as usual, the German's are always late. So, without farther a due, I shall speak on the interests of the United States of America.

 

The crisis taking place in Asia is something that needs to be resolved as peacefully and as quickly as possible. We are here to heal rifts and mend bonds. Indonesia and India are locked in a war that we must resolve in conference, so that soldiers do not have to do it in trenches. We shall do our best do get this dealt with very shortly.

 

The United States is also a proud supporter of Russia, whom it sees as a fair and responsible country. To mend the drift in Europe, the U.S will work out a deal, if in the interest of all parties, to create a more stable and lasting relationship there and to also make sure war does not flood the streets, as it did almost 100 years ago,

 

Lastly, we shall speak of the issues in Africa and South America. The United African Army has stabilized its home region and is commended. Following Indonesia's example, the U.S recognizes the UAA as a state formerly, and urges other countries do do the same. We shall now commence peace talks between Indonesia and India. Any questions?"

After hearing Sweden broke their alliance with the United States out of contract, the U.S asks Sweden to pay a fine for failure to abide by the agreement. Set at 8,000,000,000 USD, America hopes to bully Sweden away from Western Europe.

Having already been influenced by socialism in the past, socialism works its way to the hearts of the Nordic countries, thanks to Swedish aid.

 

The Islamic Caliphate will declare war on Italy, unless it gives up Libya.

 

Venezuela and Cuba start joint attacks on capitalistic South and Central American countries. Their forces overpower countries like Colombia and Haiti. Slowly as it grows, propaganda is used on the people to turn them against the USA. Seeing the 25,000 U.S troops in Key West, FL, the Cubans accuse the United States of committing war crimes against the Southern Americans for decades, and they ask for Indonesian funds to help pay for a South-American union which would directly threat the U.S. In retaliation, an American drone is sent to the Cuban region to kill suspected leaders, but kills five civilians instead, fueling the fire.

The Kingdom of Indonesia

 

 

Southern Ocean: approximately 1000 miles southeast of Tasmania

If there was one word for Macquarie island, it was bleak. A grassy, cold strip of rock, it had been the furthest south area of Australian territory, closer to Antarctica than anything else. Nobody lived here, and nobody ever had save for a small research base decades earlier. But as Dr. Omar Hidayat looked over the windswept hills and cliffs that made up the landscape, he knew he could make something of it.

 

He was a middle-aged man with a short beard, and he walked with a limp, but the first thing anyone who met him noticed was his eyes. They reminded one of a shark: cold, dead, and emotionless. He was all of these things, and this was why he been chosen for this assignment--an assignment that required a man with no respect for human rights or dignity. This was an assignment so secret that apart from those directly involed, who would know only what they needed to, only Omar, the head of the CMR and the King himself knew about it. If either of the former two resigned, they would probably be killed for what they knew.

 

The island had been chosen carefully. Hundreds of miles from any other land, it was also one of the cloudiest places on Earth. Satellite surveillance would be impossible, and any ship that came too close would be immediately detained. Omar smiled. Yes, this would be a perfect place. He would make the Macquarie Island Facility into what he had always dreamed of...

 

Peace Conference: Washington, D.C.

King Asrul listens to the Indian President politely, and though he does not smile, he prevents outright contempt from showing on his face. "No questions."

After pausing to allow anyone to speak, Asrul shifts in his chair, and continues.

"Although, I find it interesting that you would hold these views, President Devi. After all, if the British had not had the strength and will to unite India, your country would still be a collection of tiny, warring states. In your attempt to keep your neighbors weak you have surpassed your boundaries, and that is why in time we will repay the blood you have spilled on our shores."

The request from the Cubans/Venezuelans is recieved at home, but it's felt that with America's position still in play, it would be best to avoid interfering.

Further south however,the rise of Argentina as a possible counterweight to Indonesia's enemy Brazil is seen as an opportunity. The foreign ministry begins to make diplomatic overtures.

The French government is outraged at the United States as they attempt to force the Swedish to pay a fine for breaking their alliance. The French government releases a statement directed toward the United States government as French military assets move into the Atlantic over the northern coast of Spain. 
 
"The free Nation of Sweden WILL NOT pay your fine which is simply a blatant attempt to break the strong tie between our two European nations. Should you attempt to pursue the acquisition of this fine, the French government and its allies will place major trade restrictions and cut off the sale of goods to your nation. Do not poke this sleeping giant, or otherwise we shall break your economic back."
 
In response to the American attempts to undermine the strength of Europe, the French National Assembly approves legislation passing off the exact amount of the fine, 8,000,000,000 USD, to help support the Cuban and Venezuelan movement to rally the South American nations against the cause of the tyrannical United States. 

 

THE CONFERENCE

 

President Henry watches the proceedings, eyeing up each leader as they enter. He shoots a glare at the Indian President as he walks in, and scoffs at his rather weak message. He decides not to speak yet, he simply whispers something to his advisors who speaks for him. 

 

"Correct us if we are incorrect, but the Indian Military threatened the supposedly unstable and independent nation of PAKISTAN. Meanwhile you scold each of our nations for providing similar stability along our borders while you do the same? What sort of hypocrisy do you expect us to overlook? I'd hope that you would be smarter than to deny your use of force however I suppose I was incorrect."
