Declaration from The Kingdom Renatus

 

To the Representatives of the Kingdom of Oren, we hereby regret to announce that all peace talks will cease between the Kingdoms of Renatus and Oren due to the repeated abhorrent actions of the House of Carrion. Numerous times during the ceasefire have members of your House and their soldiers assaulted the fortress of Kaer Angren and attempted to bring harm to the nobility and peasantry of Renatus. Today the 11th of Suns Smile 1482 two members of House Carrion came to Angren in hostility and aggression, spewing insults towards the Kingdom and making threats, assaulting members of the Nobility and Military by shooting arrows at our walls and the men patrolling it.  They were warned that if they continued their actions the peace talks between our two nations would collapse and war would resume, as expected. As they showed a complete disregard towards our Nation and continued to label us Rebels, we are now certain that House Carrion continues its colonial and imperial view on the rest of humanity as it was not just mere servants of House Carrion but two Princes themselves that assaulted the Fortress. Evidently the House Carrion’s claims for wanting peace are false, a fact proven by their consistent acts of aggression towards the free Kingdom of Renatus.

 

We regret to inform you that we hereby officially and formally issue a declaration of war against the House of Carrion and are saddened by the knowledge that the House of Carrion retains its lust for war and bloodshed. Let it be known that it is the actions of House Carrion that bring war and death to humanity once more. Unless severe action is taken against the offenders and these villains of humanity brought to Renatian justice, war will continue until the Kingdom of Oren is reduced to nothing.

Evios smirks as he hears of Vasili's words. "Hm... power hungry eh? The desire of Renatus is to establish a new ruler, one that lacks the qualities of greed and narcissism, qualities that showed themselves evident in Carrion leadership. Renatus is executing what is best for the people, rather than simply consolidating power, as the Crows do. The fact that ye still call yourselves Oren proves this, as all that is left of your great kingdom are Ruskans. And look, ye even confirmed that we have better relations with other races. Wasn't that the hope of your "people's" kingdom under Tuvya? To create peace? And yet, ye prolong this conflict even when Renatus has proved itself a truer and stronger Kingdom of Humans."

A single rebel takes up his position in Kaer Angren. He grumbles incoherently to anyone but himself as he readies the machines of war.

He drops a rather large winch into a crate.
