Why do you want to be a builder for the ET?

I guess to challenge myself maybe? I dunno, what else do I really have to do?

What are some of your most treasured builds? (screenshots if possible):

Most of my most treasured builds are either old, gone, or not finished. I mean I treasure the very first big build I did which was a big stone tower carved from a mountain with tons of iron/gold/lapis/diamond. That was made back in like beta .5 though, we didn't even have stone brick so nowadays it wouldn't look very nice.

What MMORPG/video games do you play?

Most games, typical ones really. Occasionally something a bit more adventurous, but most of the time the stuff you probably play. (Elder Scrolls, Star Wars games, Age of Empires, WoW, LotRO, Starcraft, LoL, Battlefield, Assassins Creed, shooters, the occasional indie game.)

http://imgur.com/Q9PMuTQ,U3g3s09,ssVEX5d Threw in the ships because I figure you might be interested in seeing them. I made them both, and there is an even larger one I am almost finished with that I won't link. It isn't finished and I don't want to show it off until it is!

The first screen is a little building style I came up with I named Cathedra. It was made as a fortress with cathedral style stonework and stained glass. IC my character developed it, it's very tough and has thick heat insulating roof tiles in case it gets cold along with giving the roof some armor.

 

The next is a build that I made in Anthos. It was an island fortress thing that was practically indestructable because it had thick walls, was an island, and was covered by weapons from every side.

 

The last one is just of my boat and ship, I made them after I started hanging out on the Alras build server in the Fringe.

(I had a lot of trouble with this one, mainly because I couldn't figure out what you were meaning by “High Fantasy.” I made the first thing but decided it wasn't really what you were looking for, so then I made the second thing which is meant to be a sort of corrupted node or something.)

Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build?

I can probably handle, or at the very least try and handle, any aspect of a build. I surprise myself often when it comes to how good I can build something I have never tried before.

Do you know much about redstone?

I can't make a giant 50x10x30 size room of redstone for a combination lock or anything (off the top of my head,) but I can definitely handle anything you might need.

How long does it take for you to complete a build?

Depends really, could be a week, could be a day. It's a bit of an open question, but I figure I usually build about as fast as anyone else.

Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build.

I get told what I am going to build, I envision a sort of concept in my mind, and I start. Eventually I finish and modify it to look how I want. I tend to make changes as I am building, or I let the build itself change how it looks. (The answer is generalized for all three sizes.)

Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Craftbook? Etc...):

Couple of those, world edit and craftbook.

Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads)

I actually have never used weird tricks like that. I prefer to use typical minecraft in my builds. I guess the closest thing I have to a trick is just using stairs and slabs a lot to add texture to a build. There are a few redstone tricks I know however, although I don't think that's what you are referring to.

Tell me what you want from the ET.

Something to do and a way to help out that might keep me busy. I should mention that I could very easily be an actor as well. I was told builders were needed however, so I decided to post this.

the builds are rather mediocre, i'm not particularly impressed with the portfolio of work presented here. 

 

i won't ask for anything else because I don't think there's much else to show me unless in the month that's passed by since you posted this, you've improved. if you have, by all means- update the app with new work and show me but if that's not the case then I'm going to tell you that I believe you need a lot more practice. try looking at other examples of builds, watch some tutorials and learn some tricks. everyone can be good with the right amount of time put in, i wish you luck
