Dakirennis 959 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I would like to volunteer myself to help with the war rules. Edit - My ideas would be primarily based upon a system that I created with the help of a few others which can be found here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/90652-ooc-rules-dwarven-v-oren-conflict/ along with the input of others aswell as tweaks to fit modern times if I am chosen. This. These rules are very simple and would add what a lot of people have been wanting. Probably a few small tweaks and bada bing! Ready, set, raid. ski_king3 0 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I'm down to be a volunteer and help out. Personally, I believe any war system should have these things: 1. No player can OOC'ly decline a war (this means, you can't say no to battles taking place) 2. However, you can negotiate the terms, and get staff to intervene if you believe the terms of the offensive group are unreasonable (this way you can't get stuck with bad times or unfair terms that put you at an unnecessary disadvantage). 3. No major settlements can be taken without the consent of the owning group. Let's face it, big battles are a fun part of LotC. A lot of people enjoy them and like to see them happen, and those who don't can easily just not log in for the three hours they take place. However, being forced to lose your settlement is shitty. Having these all in place makes this all a reality. Obviously, any war system needs to be slightly more complex, but this is a start.
chaotikal 2392 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Idea. Complement new settlements with few players that cannot endure a fair battle... Unless that's wanted. Take into account aswell, settlements that deny warclaims too much, so that they can be raided without their consent.

Blundermore 2741 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Personally I don't see the playerbase actually being capable of handling this themselves. Though I would volunteer on the fact that previous war teams were just populated by people with actual ties to the groups fighting all the time... spqrSancus 175 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I too would like to volunteer on behalf of HE land - along with the others who volunteer from there. :P
snakeyeeees 15 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I'd like to volunteer, I'm sure I could come up with some ideas or suggestions. Though I do not get picked, I guess one of the major things I would want to see if raids were brought back, is also the system that limited how many times you could raid a settlement in a period of time. Jistuma 1996 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I just will make a sugestion, but don't really want to join the group. Do not allow "X + allies". That ALWAYS makes the whole server join a warclaim even if it's orcs vs elves, or Guild vs guild, or etc. I suggest instead that it's "X + Y + Z" or the 'allies' can't show up.
