Hi Guys,

I've been thinking on the possibility of allowing users to buy their own [email protected]/[email protected] email address with 10GB storage. This would cost about 4$ a month although I might make it cheaper for long term payments this would have IMAP, POP and active sync. You could probably get more than 10GB if you needed it for slightly more (something like 0.50$ per GB). Is there any thoughts on this? cost too much? no it can't be free but that would be cool =[

Thanks for your time,

Tythus

I feel this would be absolutely worthless because you can get a free email from anywhere else.

It sounds cool but why would you waste money on that, don't make it its useless

it makes no difference to us at the end of the day it's just adding accounts to our email management system and using slightly more resources so we get billed more so thats why the cost is there

'So, your email is at the address 'lordofthecraft.net...' Was that your prior workplace?'

'U-u-uhm... Yeah, something like that.'

EDIT - Beat you all. Just... Mod queue.

I would have to agree with a few of the people above. Going to such length to produce such a service would be fruitless labor when there are dozens of free e-mail services available that offer 10gb and other services. The idea is a nice gesture to the community but when it is a cost to the server/forums I personally believe it should not be followed through.

A tedious payment for something that would never really be used unfortunately.

We have free forum PMs.

Interviewer: "You got the job, all I need is your home address, phone number and email!"

Me: "I live in***********, my number is *********** and my email is [email protected]"

Interviewer: "What is lordofthecraft? I have never heard of this email provider!?"

Me: "It is my Minecraft fantasy roleplay server"

I also wouldn't use it, but not just because of the cost, I wouldn't want to have to explain it to people.

"@me.com" or "@yahoo.com" is something people are used to.

Edit: Ofc Kipples got it in seconds before me. *shakes fist*

Edit 2: Dammit Space.

Tl;dr: No e-mails. Sounds good in theory, looks bad on paper.
