Made more enemies than friends, enemies wanted them gone. Friends couldn't keep them off their back. The small playerbase splits up and joins the other elves, and then some more **** happened but I don't remember it too well.

Snow Elves and Mori were the prominent Elven "subraces" (yeah ok not a subrace server politics) and both times it caused a disproportionate amount of drama. Nobody's fault, just how these things go. People went into it with the best intentions but there'll be a lot of negativity and it's be very tempting to retaliate and escalate.

 

New subraces don't really work. If you want Elves living in snowy environments start a northern colony of Elves and get the support of existing Elven nations. You'll probably end up a vassal to Haelun'or at first but that's what it takes: Don't do this stuff unless you're willing to do the sacrifice and compromise.

I really liked the concept of the culture itself, but how it went out afterwards, it was just a mess. As already stated, they made more enemies than friends, they were oocly harrassed for being called trolls etc. etc. The obvious answer would be just, no.
