I'll make it pretty blatant- I hated long-winded, non personal applications. This "application" process is actually more so a short app, followed by an interpersonal interview with an LM.

Nobody has the power to fix tiers but you (the now unofficial MAT). If you say tier and don't specify that it's not the same, people will treat it the same.

I already have to deal with 1-5 time-based tiers from the druids and if effort was actually being made to stop the stigma the lore admin and several GMs wouldn't be perpetuating it.

But.. meh. If you don't think it's a problem not much I can do.

Perhaps, it would be for more effective to simply PM my skype, which you both have.

If you have a concern, I can more reliably respond, and can more effectively tackle this supposed issued. Otherwise we're just arguing points over a forum. I'm always around, and always prepared to adapt my ideas.

While I'm still not convinced this is necessary, this could have been a lot worse. Thank you for not diving back to a crazy extreme. It will be interesting to see if this works as people anticipate, though.

Quick question. What about if someones' friend ICly shows them a tome about magic or gives them pointers ICly but isn't a teacher? As well, what happens to people that were taught a magic but gave up on it for a short time and wish to relearn the magic? Would they require to speak to an LM or teacher to learn the magic again after they were taught ICly prior to this system? Example, being my character learnt void trans-location, but stopped experimenting with the magic but may wish to relearn it in the future would that require me to speak with someone to relearn? Or since the character has the capabilities to use it technically still can I just do relearning RP without any contact? Now, my character isn't, it's just an example of a possible loophole. That can either be exploited or be an actual thing people have an issue with.

 

Just see a few possible loopholes that can be said. If the creators of this wish to know some that may or may not have been discussed prior feel free to pm me. But... Meh, kinda agree with ski above me. Glad this wasn't some fascist nazi **** or the old MAT
