I really like that anomalously located snowy areas can be caused by Thahnium. Not so much that they all perhaps have to be caused by Thahnium in some capacity, not sure if that's what is being suggested or not.

Flat or not, basing cold climates on metal introduced in 3.0 seems shifty to me. Perhaps they may be a driving reason to the cold climates of unnaturally wintery regions and the actual season of winter (which I do believe that one ice dragon Aengul controls) still exists.
