A Judicial Decree, penned upon the 19th of the First Seed, 1511

From the dawn of the Kingdom of Oren to its state in present times, there has been an expectation of vassals of the throne, sworn in bondage and service to the crown, to act with categorical honour and duty towards their kingdom and its inhabitants. Those who have failed to act in accordance with this expectation, such as the Bloody Baron of Kaphro of yore, have always been met with the full force of the law and purged from the realm as befits those of empty moral standing. This should not change in modern times, especially when concerning those royal provinces chartered by the kingdom to act as a sanctuary to nonhumans.

In light of the recent events concerning his suspicious and very much questionable behaviour, the Prince of Laureh’lin, Tristin Tresery, is hereby suspended from his position as sovereign of Cerulin and its associated royal province. Helton Chivay, patriarch of House Chivay, is to be appointed as governor over the province of Laureh’lin. The governor will act as the final say in all matters involving the Province of Cerulin, and he will act as the chief liaison to the King.

As penned in the office of the Lord Justiciar,

Lord Justiciar Jan de Savoie

His Majesty, King Olivier I de Savoie

Cheza rubs the scar across her face. "But... Humans were already in charge. All they did was remove someone who had to listen to them and replace him with someone who... Still has to listen to them? I... Okay."

She ends up wandering back home and just assumes she shouldn't question this as long as it doesn't alter her visits to the province.
