I, Arkelos, fully acknowledge that if roleplay in the region in question does not occur, or player retention of the area depreciates to a level where hardly any active RP remains in the area, then the area will be removed, ruined or naturalized by GMs/ET members with a 1 week probationary period.

 

Additional Roleplay:

 

As the leaders and planners of the charter gather a last time, the Scroll Druid sits with a several large parchments as she writes down the agreements everyone has proposed and consented to. Gathering all the signatures on each, each group is given a copy of the charter, so it is clear and not easily altered by any one person’s will.

 

“We take one more step towards order and peace, the road ahead will be hard, but the future we can create is bright, and at last has hope.” Kyral says with a proud smile, shared by all in attendance of the meeting. “We come from different walks and different beliefs, but we all server the world and wish it healed and safeguarded, and now we can make it happen, outside of political influence or abuse.”

 

The rest gathered nod, their backgrounds a vast variety; from Druids to Clerics, Ascended and Scions, even a few Cervitaur and Paladins; they had all come together in the hopes of a better future, and a pact that would set aside differences so they can all work together to heal and aid the world and it’s varied peoples equally, without the worry of their actions seeing them removed from their homes, no fear of living in a nation’s lands and risking removal for following the will of their Patrons and aiding those who might be enemies of those they live with.

 

No, in this new place, Aeroch-nor, they were free of the yoke of nation rule, and from the worries and complications such brings. Now they could be separate, yet a part of all who need or desire their aid.

 

The Charter of Aeroch-nor

Aeroch-nor is a nation composed of various independent groups that all hold themselves outside of usual nation politics, and must maintain a neutral stance in the world in order to best serve the lands and the peoples that inhabit them. To this end, we have all banded together to settle a new ‘nation’ wherein we will not be subject to the rule of the primary nations, and can be free to act as we need to in order to maintain the balance of the world in each of our ways.

 

Government System:

The government of Aeroch-nor is run as a Ruling Council, with a single Magistrate who is officially in charge of the affairs of Avalon, and one to two representatives from each involved group upon the founding of the nation, depending on their size and other factors such as interest in such influence, or contribution.  Any change in Council size, be it more or less Councilors from a group, or a new group being allowed representation on the Council, is decided by majority vote of the current Council.

 

  • To remove a Councilor position from a group (the position, not the person holding it) requires ¾ majority vote of the current Ruling Council.

  • To add a Councilor position to a group (the position, not the person holding it), or allow a group entry into the Ruling Council with 1 seat, requires ⅔ majority vote of the current Ruling Council.

  • Councilors are appointed by each group as it sees fit based upon majority vote of that group’s members. Such votes for Councilor positions are held at whatever interim the group decides. The replacement of a current Councilor with a new one requires ⅔ majority of all current members of that group’s ruling party, or of the group if they have no such ruling group in their structure.

  • The Ruling Council does not dictate how its member groups are run, rather it exists to discuss issues that affect the entire nation, and make decisions to deal with these situations.

  • The Ruling Council oversees the city of Avalon and all nation lands that are not specifically under the control of the member groups.

Laws and Regulations:

 

-Each founding group of the nation of Aeroch-Nor has jurisdiction to establish it’s own laws within the borders of their own lands within the nation. However, these laws are in addition to the laws of the nation as a whole, and all citizens are expected to follow them.

 

-Banditry, murder, slavery, torture, and all other acts deemed inhumane are not tolerated within the lands of Aeroch-nor.

 

-The practice of ‘Monster Hunting’ is strictly regulated, dangerous creatures that pose immediate threat to Aeroch-Nor are permitted to be hunted by any group that wishes to remove the threat. Non-violent or protected creatures, such as the Cervitaur and any descendants that have been turned into plant-people, are not creatures to be hunted, and doing so will meet with harsh punishment.

 

-Magic users are free to express their arts in a safe, reasonable manner. If you endanger anyone with your magic, you can be held accountable for any damage or injury, and treated as if you had intentionally sought to bring harm to others.

 

-All Dark Arts are strictly prohibited within the borders of Aeroch-Nor. This includes, but is not limited to; Necromancy, Shades, Blood Magic, Contract Magic, Soul Puppetry, Undead, Iblees cult worship, Asura cult worship, and any other art or act the Ruling Council deems to fall under this category.  Practitioners of these arts may pass through nation lands peacefully, if they use their arts they will be arrested, if they cause trouble they will be banished or executed.

 

-Any crime against a child, defined within Aeroch-Nor as anyone under the age of twenty years, carries with it automatic increased punishment. If an arrest is called for, the time will be at least doubled. If it is more serious, like the murder of an innocent child, the punishment is public execution. Children are sacred and unable to defend themselves, harming them is the most cowardly of acts and you will be treated like the monster you are.  If the child has committed a crime to cause these actions, the situation will be carefully considered, but the killing of a child for anything less than murder will never be an acceptable punishment.

 

-No vigilantism, any problems requiring justice must be brought to the attention of the guards or an official.  Problems within the individual holdings of the member groups of the Ruling Council are considered internal affairs of that group unless they ask for aid, or have made an allowance for intervention by Aeroch-Nor’s standing forces.

 

-In times of war and crisis, Aeroch-Nor may institute a compulsory Militia Draft, wherein any citizen over the age of 18 is eligible to be drafted to aid in the defense of the nation’s holdings. Armaments will be provided to draftees unless they opt to bring their own superior equipment. This Draft will never be used to recruit for an offensive campaign, only in defense of Aeroch-Nor’s borders from incursion.

 

Foreign Policy:

-Aeroch-Nor recognizes the sovereign right for other world powers to govern their people as they see fit, and to govern their lands as they so desire. This does not extend beyond their borders however, no one controls an entire race, individuals will decide what they believe, who they will follow, and where they will live.

 

-Aeroch-Nor offers safe haven to all, but will respect warrants of arrest from other nations on a case-by-case basis, to be discussed with the Ruling Council of Aeroch-nor. If the criminal in question is trying to hide from rightful justice in the eyes of the Ruling Council, they will be arrested and handed over to the authorities that are seeking them.

 

-Aeroch-Nor will never, under any circumstances, hand over for capital punishment a child, defined as any individual under the age of twenty years, to an outside authority. Children, no matter their race, heritage, or parentage, are to be guided and shown a better way.

 

-Aeroch-Nor holds itself neutral in all political affairs of foreign powers, and will not participate in open warfare against any nation of the descendant races unless they are found to be working with a dark power or being, or a direct threat to the safety of the world. All wars fought for racial, political, or bigotry reasons will be disregarded as illegitimate in the eyes of the Ruling Council, and we will take no sides.

 

-Aeroch-Nor respects all religions, and will not hold one over another or judge legitimacy of their beliefs. At the same time, Aeroch-Nor will not allow violence for religious-fuelled reasons on its lands. Tolerance will be expected within our borders.

 

Groups and Subregions:

Aeroch-Nor is made up of several groups, and while there will be a central town, each will also retain it’s own holdings, as well as some shared areas between them. The following is the list of the subregions within the Nation of Aeroch-Nor.

 

  • Avalon - The central city of Aeroch-Nor, placed just within the border walls along the main road, and serving as the entrance to the nation’s lands. All involved factions will have a representative in the government of Avalon, and most citizens will maintain a home here. The city will consist of three districts; Market Plaza, Housing District, and Manor District; as well as a central Keep used by the Ruling Council, Guard Barracks, and for defense of the city and it’s citizens.

  • Grove of the Stream - Established on the northwestern island of the nation’s lands, this Grove will serve as the home and sanctuary for all Druids, and is administered by the Inner Circle of the Circle of the Stream order of the Druids. It will serve as a nature preserve for many animals as well.

  • Grounds of the Ascended - Land set aside for the Ascended to establish a cathedral to Ariel, as well as any other amenities they and their following require.

  • Cathedral of Curatrix - Established upon the northeastern island of the nation’s lands, this island will serve as a base of operations in the southern lands for a sect of Tahariae’s clerics to continue to serve their Aengul and spread their teachings and services.

  • Cervitaur Grotto - Set upon the north-central island of the nation’s lands, this island is cultivated into a naturally isolated grotto for the reclusive Cervitaur, the intelligent, deer-like people that were native to Fiandria, and followed the Druids to this new land and have been seeking a home. It will be cultivated into a beautiful nature preserve that the Druids will aid the Cervitaur in keeping balanced and vibrant.

  • Scion Grounds - Set near the main city of Avalon, these will be the barracks and armory of the Scions, so that they can have a central base of operations to aid the progress of order, safety, and defense of the descendants from threats of all sorts.

  • Embassy of the Tide - Set near the entrance of the Stream Grove, this plot of land is set aside for a small embassy for use by the Druids of the Circle of the Tide, in the spirit of friendly communication and cooperation between all Druids, as well as with Aeroch-Nor’s Ruling Council.

  • Embassy of the Mother - Set near the entrance of the Stream Grove, this plot of land is set aside for a small embassy for use by the Druids of the Mother Circle, in the spirit of friendly communication and cooperation between all Druids, as well as with Aeroch-Nor’s Ruling Council.

  • Norian Fields - Set between Avalon and the northern coast, these farmlands are lush and vibrant, especially with the Druids maintaining their health and growth. The entrance to the Grove is set on the far side of these fields, so the Druids tend to them almost constantly, and all the groups share their harvest.

  • Wilden Woods - Set on the peninsula north of the Norian Fields, these woods are maintained carefully and used for all the lumber harvesting needs of the locals. The lumber mill here rarely stops operating, and provides lumber and other goods for all the peoples of Aeroch-nor.

  • Norian Mine - Set in the southwestern corner of the nation’s lands, this is the entrance to the nation’s mineshafts for the gathering of valuable metals and precious gems, as well as stone. It is locked from the general public, all citizens are granted access to the mines.

Achan slowly sets down Its edition of the news on the desk, it had been a long day and the creature decided it best to prepare a cup of tea. It shortly prepared the kettle, gotten out the ingredients for a cup and set the fire on Its oven. There was a silence that ell upon the room for the while the creature had prepared Its cup, not the peaceful silence of a warm fire and a good book but rather the silence that falls upon an area after a crowd witnesses a horrid accident. It was louder than any scream and consumed any noise that passed through, the whistling kettle stood little chance against it. This torrid silence persisted throughout Achan pouring Its cup of tea, prepping it to Its liking and taking a sip- at which time the silence would end with the creature releasing an ear-shattering:

"EXTERMINATUS!"
