Donato de Denesle sits in his chair near a crackling fire in the library of his chateau in Drusco. He reads a report of the so-called jihad and pens a brief response to any authority in the caliphate who would read it.

"Respondeo Dicendum!

To whom this may concern, I send my greetings!

I write now as a humble businessman and scholar in the agrarian and pleasant lands of Oren where virtue and clean living is honored. I write, coming from a family with strong connections to the Lucienists of old, and the Rovins. We appreciate their service to God and country and find it disturbing that one might be so vehemently condemned for ceding a castle after a lifetime of courage. I believe this shows a clear difference between the Empire of Oren and the illegitimate lands calling themselves Caliguan. This difference is that while Caliguan is inherently and intrinsically materialistic, Oren lacks this materialism.

With great importance I stress the need to find truth in everything, as I am a firm believer that integrity makes a man, and honesty likewise. So let us be truthful then and acknowledge why it is that Caliguan is inherently and so obscenely materialistic, violent, and unreasonable? It is, no doubt, because of the inferior culture and false ideology. I cannot say I am a proper Canonist by any means, nor can I say I am a good Canonist.

This said I am a fervent believer that that which is true is always true, and that which is wrong is always wrong, and the virtues (or lack thereof) espoused by the infernal alliance of the Caliphate and Urguan is horrible! How irresponsible could a leader be to send countless of his sons to fight and die, and for what? Heathen Dwarven scum! And why fight for the scum? Because that scum is the only entity that would accept you! You feel required to be different and have some sort of complex of being slighted that what you make up for in fighting your fellow man, you gain in helping your fellow scum!

I trust the men of Oren, and most notably Savoy, will tarry no further and remember your barbarian words when they come to grips with, what must be, the last of your forces. How many have died so that you can make some erroneous point? How much longer must blood be allowed to move freely before you realize your error?

If it is a struggle that you desire, then I hate to disappoint you, but you won't struggle for long.

Yours with the love of the Creator,

Donato de Denesle"

Vincent shrugs "You know, considering my affiliation with Oren, I should probably be really upset about this, but the Faiz guy, I gotta say he makes some damn good points"

Ser Demetrios Palaiologos II would smile. "They will pay for assaulting his Imperial Highness Charles... Now is my chance to take revenge..." He would make the lorraine cross and prepares himself, making sure he has everything ready to kill the pagans.

Saharfajhari blinks at the ridiculous declaration from no one other than Faiz Kharadeen, sighing softly.

As she closed her eyes, she imagines the previous Caliph as a meager Qalasheen girl, cheerily singing tunes of his homeland, in a brilliant gown of emerald and gold . . .

". . . I didn't want to picture that." she grunts as the daze faded away, grimacing to the thought of the aging man in a gown.

"Eugh."

Selrik scribbles hurriedly, laughing to himself slightly. He would hold up a map, with the Caliphate crossed out, the words "Shitty New Felsen" written on the landmass.

Beware, Heretics of the Caliphate ☩

☩ In accordance with our Godly mercy, The Church of the Canon has attempted to peacefully communicate and convert the people of Khalestine, ignoring those heretics who would rather keep their false notions about GOD.

☩ In response to our mercy and tolerance, this Faiz Kharadeen dares to renounce our efforts and declare his so-called "Jihad," a clear sign of the coming war on GOD.

☩ It is the responsibility of The Church of the Canon to teach TRUTH and refrain from violence. With a declaration of conflict against GOD and his followers, however, peace is not always possible. ☩

☩ Beware heretics of The Caliphate, should any harm come to followers of the TRUTH, your eligibility for peaceful conversion will expire.

☩ Beware heretics of The Caliphate, the Church of the Canon does not easily forget its fallen priests: Father Allen will be avenged.

☩ Beware heretics of The Caliphate, you will submit, or you will die. ☩

Franz would receive word of the events transpiring in the far off and distant lands of the Caliphate. "A rather interesting turn of events. Feels like Aesterwald all over again.." A long drawn out sigh would come from his mouth as he would go to lay back down again, weakened from sitting up.

Franz nods

A tall, blonde man would look up from his book, gazing at the crowds remarking upon the speech by the Imam, and he would only shake his head, "The treachery of the Rovins was well known, even in Athera, when they abandoned one of their own to slavery, rather than upset the orcish Rex. It is a pity that it took so long for their perfidy to be made manifest unto all." He would return to his book, ordering a cup of tea from a waitress.
