The night drew with an eerie silence across the island of Karakatua. Though this was not an unnatural occurance, as naturally most kha are sleeping. Though for those who have mastered the art of staying up all night, they would hear loud scorching from the temple, would this be a priest or had Mukar come back?  Though Mukar had gone into solitude, though most had already known of this. A godly blue aura illuminating the sacred grounds of which holds the Great Temple of Metztli. The distant sound of fire scorching into stone would fill the usually silent night on Karakatua. The Temple doors swung open. Through the entrance of the doors and gates of The Holy Temple, sat a luminous blue pool of water. A pool of water which had been used as a moonpool.

The moonpool was glowing its usual blue colour, as per the energy it witholds. Though silence too fell upon the temple. The sizzling fire lanterns which sat pinned to the wall of the Temple walls extinguished. For silence was needed to fully connect to the holy goddess of which his soul would be taken to. On top of the altar sat a mangled corpse, his fur burnt off but from his shape it would appear to be the fat form of the former Varkolu, Mukar. His many features gone from what would seem to be the fire.

He had tried many times to help the kharajyr. Many forgot of his work in the past to keep his sacred race alive and prospering. Though his recent actions, which he deemed needed so the kharajyr stay true to the goddess and their culture. And so Mukar was gone. He went from normal citizen from Ohlokhar towards High Sage and Varkolu of Karakatua. And then he was gone into darkness.

Though if one had careful eyes they may notice a message written in both Va’Khajrian and average-tongue, etched into the into a large stone board.

"nad hud Kharajyr uv Metztli. Vun Mukar ryc huf zuehat rec yhlacdunc. Dra ehjytanc vnus Aegis ryja hud syta uin desa eh drec funmt uha du pa ahzuoat, fa vyla ryntcrebc, sintan, ahcmyjasahd ykyehcd uin baubma.  Uin nekrd du nima draca myhtc yna cdnebbat vnus ic, tacbeda dra rumo pendrnekrd pacdufat ibuh ic po dra cdync!

Fret not Kharajyr of Metztli. For Mukar has now joined his ancestors. The invaders from Aegis have not made our time in this world one to be enjoyed, we face hardships, murder, enslavement against our people.  Our right to rule these lands are stripped from us, despite the holy birthright bestowed upon us by the stars!

Fa ryja knufh duu yllicdusat du dra ubbnaccat mevacdoma dryd draca ymeahc vunla ibuh ic. Vunkuddehk uin yhleahd limdina. Cruimt uin yhlacdunc uv bycd anyc muug tufh ibuh ic drao fuimt dinh yfyo eh crysa. Vun fa ryja cdnyoat fyo du vyn vun yllabdyhla.

We have grown too accustomed to the oppressed lifestyle that these aliens force upon us. Forgetting our ancient culture. Should our ancestors of past eras look down upon us they would turn away in shame. For we have strayed way to far for acceptance.

Oui pyhecr uin bneacdc, y bneacd fru caagat du nazueh dra bneacdruut. Tepah. Yht oad oui vunla res yfyo yht cdneb rec bneacdruut. Fru yna fa du cdneb yfyo dra bneta uv dra grynyzon. Fru yna fa du cdneb yfyo dra canjahdc uv Sadwdme vun bancuhym rydnat? Fa yna huha du syga cilr zitkasahd. Vun y bneacd fru caagc du nazueh dra untan cruimt pa ymmufat. Hud dinhat yfyo tia du uin maytanc bancuhym syddanc.

You banish our priests, a priest who seeked to rejoin the priesthood. Tepah. And yet you force him away and strip his priesthood. Who are we to strip away the pride of the kharajyr. Who are we to strip away the servants of Metztli for personal hatred? We are none to make such judgement. For a priest who seeks to rejoin the order should be allowed. Not turned away due to our leaders personal matters.

Mukar femm pa kyjehk vnus dra cdync, fedr Metztli yht  ran baubma. Yht huf Mukar ryc paah vunlat du palusa y syndon. Toehk vun uin cylnat dasbma, dra xiacdeuh oui cruimt pa ycgehk ouincamv ec. Yna oui?

Mukar will be watching  from the stars, with Metztli and  her people. And now Mukar has been forced to become a martyr. Dying for our sacred temple, the question you should be asking yourself is. Are you prepared to be a martyr for your goddess?

And so he was gone.

Zhikar son of Mukar sighs quietly as he glances at his father's body, a frown forms upon his face as the massive kha'tigrasi tilts down to pat Mukar's cold shoulder. "Ewven ef yaw ded nawt su guud thengs patta . . . et ded nawt hawv tawh end thes way . . . mawy Metztli cawrres yaw patta . . . Tez'Mikal muttered. "If only you stuck around, you might have seen the beaty in the beast. I'm surprised you didn't see it in yourself before."

Tez'Mikal kneeled down, touching the cold body.

"Old friend, may your death have been swift and painless. You suffered much before you died, I greive for you."

Elder Saikaunaah stood outside of the temple, standing upright with her cane etched between two stones. Her only remaining eye,  left one, focused on the corpse of Mukar; someone she had respected and distasted at the same time. She snorted.

-

"Banrybc ev ouin yldeuhc draca bycd vaf faagc fanah'd cu ihfeca, oui fuimt cdemm pa y pnaydrehk Kharajyr. Syo Metztli ryja sanlo uh ouin cuim, umt vneaht."

((Perhaps if your actions these past few weeks weren't so unwise, you would still be a breathing Kharajyr. May Metztli have mercy on your soul, old friend.))

-

With a single tap of her cane on the stone below her feet, she spun around and took her leave.
